I’d give it a 3.25, this book was definitely the worst out of the three. In my opinion she should’ve just kept the first book a stand-alone. This book wasn’t anything special, there was less banter, and it got a bit dry at some parts. Overall though the series was pretty good.
4.5 ⭐️👏👏 This is my fav. The epilogue wasn’t how I wanted it to be but *sigh* whatever. Page 214 had me like squealing and hiding under my blanket lol😂 This is a great series, and sadly the fourth book isn’t about these same characters (why is it part of this series???). I loved this! So here are my ratings for these books😁 1. Rebel With A Donut 4⭐️ 2. Rebel With A Boyfriend 4.5⭐️ 3. Rebel On A Break 4.5⭐️ Please read this series! There is no spice. And what Tyler says is like so cute and awesome. 🙂
What an ending to this series!!! There were so many twists and turns throughout this trio. These books are the best romance books I've read. The characters were so engaging and the romance was not inappropriate at all!
OH MY GOSH THIS BOOK MADE ME SO ANNOYED!!! Also, this review will have spoilers, so if ur planning to read the books, don't read this review. Okay, so the first thing that annoyed me so, so much about this book, was that they literally got engaged. and guess their ages. THEY ARE BOTH 18!!! by they I mean the two main characters, Tyler and Emma. but anyway, I guess I wouldn't have cared as much about them getting engaged at that age if they had been dating for like a few years, but guess how long they had been dating? NINE MONTHS!!! that is not the right amount of time to determine if they want to get married, especially if they are both eighteen and their frontal lobes haven't developed yet. but one thing that was ok about this, was that they waited until they had both finished college to get married. Thats actually smart of them. also, i'm not hating on anyone that has gotten engaged pretty quickly after meeting, I just feel like it was a really stupid descision for them because they were both really young too, and I feel like they both didn't know each other that well, and they were mostly just kissing all the time. lol sorry that that rant was so long, I just had a lot to say about it. also side note, this book doesn't have any like bad scenes in it if u know what I mean, idk I guess I just wanted to add that, also there isn't any cussing. ok another thing that was annoying about this book, was how dirty minded the grandmas were. And the only reason it was annoying was because they made an...interesting joke EVERY SINGLE PAGE. I think that it was supposed to be a joke that they grandmas were dirty minded and not their grandchildren, but still, it wasn't really funny at all. but I still rated it three stars lol. I guess by this review it sounds like I would've rated it lower, but I still thought that some parts were cute and so that's why I'm keeping it at three stars.
Perfect epilogue for the Running on Love and Donuts series!
🍩First rule of the Donut Club: secrets will always come out in this group. 🍩Second rule of the Donut Club: but we keep our secrets in this group. 🍩Third rule of the Donut Club: there's no problem we can't solve together.
The 3 books of the Running on Love and Donuts series tell the story of a group of teenagers that spend the holidays with their grandmas in a retirement community in Florida. These 3 books are about first kisses, donuts, friendship, flamingos, books and family and they're perfect for readers who wants to get lost in a story with a little drama, lots of fun and happy endings.
I loved this series because its protagonists are natural and true. The main protagonist, Emma, resonated soooo much with me! She is a wallflower, a fan of blending into the crowd, or rather, avoiding it! At first, when she's forced to spend the holidays with a bunch of strangers, all she wish for is to avoid them and hide under the invisibility cloak. Then something changes... In this group of strangers Emma and her peers find out they can be real with each other and accept and love each other for it. They are given the opportunity to know each other without any preconceived notions. In the end, they get to meet real friends they never even knew they were missing... friends they won’t be able to live without anymore! In my opinion, this series is an ode to real friendship! I think we all should ask our few precious true friends to form a book club to read this story together. It would be the best way to remind each other how lucky we were to meet!
while it wasn't boring... the engagement plot was really weird. it was sweet when they were joking around but when it actually got serious it was giving the summer I turned pretty. grandma martha's inspiration jokes were one of the funniest things, along with cole. just cole. she was such an icon the entire time. I loved how we got closure for haven and chelsea and kurt, and they weren't just made out to be bad characters. I loved the ending too, it was really sweet and much better than the alternative (aka following through with the trust fund plan and getting married at eighteen)

This was truly a cute series, but I swear the same 5 events happened over and over and over in this book. The first three quarters were so boring because of said repetition. Still a cute concept, but the execution just wasn’t there for me.
A DNF for me. The first in the series was cute but the second book started to lose me so this one had no chance. I thought all the drama about the reality show and crap was just plain dumb. Being a teenager is tough enough without all this fabricated adult drama.
