Forever, Always is the prequel Novella in the Sonoma Series. So the characters that you have been falling in love with for the last two books, you get a chance to see them as teens in high school.
Despite it being shorter than the rest of her books, this novella still packs an emotional punch that will have you begging for more. This prequel does deal with some heavy-hitting subjects which had me clutching a box of kleenex but Shelby doesn’t fail us and makes sure we get the HEA we deserve.

Another great peek at the wonderful life of our Sonoma crew. This part of their story takes a leap into the past. I loved getting to see the adult characters I've come to love as young high schoolers, though facing a whole different set of tribulations than we're used to seeing them overcome. As always- the passion, love, drama, and of course our favorite steamy scenes made this the page-turner I've come to expect when I pick up a Shelby Gunter book! Read it!

Todd is a swoon worthy character from start to finish. From the very first page of his and Megan's story, I was hooked. This is the first book I've read by this author and I thoroughly enjoy the way she brings her stories to life.
In this friends to lovers romance, she takes you on a roller coaster of emotion and once I started, I didn't put it down.
This book is a sweet romance and is chalked full of angst, hearbreak, joy and the excitement of first loves. Fair warning, there was some crying involved.
This is a prequel to her other stories (which I now DEFINITELY need to read) so you should go ahead and order those as well because you'll probably want to devour those too.
Favorite Quote: "I want to remember this moment forever, so I'm making sure it doesn't go by too fast."

Forever, Always by Shelby Gunter is a prequel novella to the Sonoma Series. Forever, Always is a childhood sweetheart friends to lovers story.
This is a sweet romance that goes through a roller coaster of emotions. I enjoyed seeing the characters of the Senoma series in high school. A great look into how Todd and Megan fell in love. This was emotionally tough book for me on a personal level since my mom had the exact same situation as a main character. Thankfully the story has a happy ending despite heartbreaking situation. I recommend if looking for a quick novella to read and it’s a good way to start the Sonoma series if you haven’t yet.

I don't read a lot of pure romance, but I did find this book to be very sweet. It is a quick read and a little more of a mature YA than a New Adult as they start off at 17.
I couldn't get into the book at first as the syntax just felt a little off and almost juvenile. HOWEVER, I did find that as the story found its footing that the writing lent itself to you reading from a couple of teenagers which helped keep me enthralled in the book.
All in all it was a cute romance and easy read if anyone is looking for something to get them into reading more romance.

This book was not at all what I expected, but it was OH so good!! Pulling on my heartstrings in all of the ways! I always wanted to know what was going to happen next, and the characters felt very realistic, as did the story. Shelby Gunter is definitely one of my favourite authors and I will keep coming back again and again!

Todd has loved Megan since he was eight, but never felt like he was good enough
I liked the way each person in their group is described in their introduction, and how they mesh as friends. I would recommend this book and series for adults.

It was a short sweet read...I loved Todd and Megan together❤️
And my favourite part of the book was how Cooper was pushing Todd to go for Meg... Everyone needs a friend like Cooper and I was glad Todd had one..

I was given the chance to be one of the first to read and review this book! And it was simply amazing. I have no bad things to say about this book. I fell in love with Meg and Todd and I’m forever changed with this book. It’s a short book but it still takes you through all the feelings! If I could ask you for one thing it would be to give this book a chance and to read it, so you can fall in love with these characters and just simply the story!
