No, my account was not hacked; and Yes, I did read this book. This is definitely NOT my genre of choice but the book was an entertaining read. I had no idea what I was getting myself into!!

When I tell y’all I LMAO from the moment I started this book all the way to the end. Sneakin’ and Freakin’ with My Hood N*gga was effin’ hilarious! This was an easy-going storyline with just a hint of drama to keep you turnin’ those pages. Kailyn and Reno were a mess but, in a good way. The interactions between them were funny as hell. From the way they met, to when he ran her down afterwards, and how he kept calling her Sahara had me rolling. That’s an inside joke. You gotta read the book to get it. The supporting cast of characters were equally entertaining. Lisa and Monica are the BFFs we all deserve. Well, maybe not Monica because, that heffa got issues. I don’t know that I would want Scram as my brother but, he was the perfect sibling for Reno. Scram’s azz was a handful but, Reno absolutely loved him. The secret tea that came out about Kailyn and Reno’s parents had mouth falling to the floor. If I’m being honest, I went into this book expecting not to like but I really enjoyed Sneakin’ and Freakin’ with My Hood N*gga. Shout out to Shades N Pages for recommending it. I’m so looking forward to the follow-up on these characters. There’s gotta be some drama coming with Kailyn’s sister. This was my first book by AJ Davidson and it did not disappoint. I look forward to reading more from her.

Okayyyyy so this is what's up on Black Bookstagram this week. It's a popular read so I decided to give it a chance and you know what. It was a ratchery good time. I can't even hate on it, even though there were plenty of moments that made me side-eye so hard my eyes almost dislodged.
Some of my favorite elements of this book. Reno is that fucking dude! He's got questionable viewpoints on women, but his integrity is a level ten even though sometimes completely misguided in ways. He made his intentions clear so many times, in a variety of ways. I mean I'm here for it and I think that's realistic in street dudes, no comment on how I might know that, and also sidebar: even tho they may make their intentions clear doesn't mean all hood ninjas have your best interest at heart, my friend. You have to really really jump in there and use your sense or you can end up like any of the auxiliary characters, Scram, Monica, both Reno and Kailyn's mamas and daddys. You have to be careful.
This book was frequently hilarious. Like I died on almost every single page. I laughed and laughed so hard. A bookish friend of mine likened it to a hood version of Beauty and the Beast, which I would describe as accurate. A really great part was also how Reno schooled Kailyn on men, sometimes you need dudes to say what you already know is true:

Overall, the book was great for what it was and more importantly what it needed to be. It gave what it gave! It had an interesting dream sequence scene. It had some some clever hip-hop writing styles and dope double entendres. I can't even complain. Will I read the rest of the series? Still to be decided!

So many things were problematic but whew were there some funny moments in this book. 😂 Lol the opening chapter was beyond wild and that club scene 😩😂🥴. I would say this is the second most entertaining with the professor book still being 1st to me. Very insta love but honestly after what the heroine went through I get it. Some grammatical errors but not enough to stop me from reading the story had a lot of funny moments! 😂😂

Queen AJ Davidson has done it again! She definitely put a spin on the Sneakin and Freakin and I was not disappointed. From the beginning to the end of the book I was stuck.
I am all for folks living their truth, but that shi* Alex pulled is why folks be getting killed, out here pretending to be something they're not. The fact that everyone around Kailyn knew and never voiced their concerns to her other than saying they didn't like him😡. At the same time we as women have got to STOP TRYING TO SEE THESE NI**AS FOR WHO WE WANT THEM TO BE AND EXCEPT THEM FOR WHO THEY ARE SHOOTING US THEY ARE! STOP IGNORING THE RED FLAGS!!! In Kailyn cease, having the daddy she had, no wonder she settled🙄
Scram & Monica were perfect for each, cause they were some super ho*s😂

I have not hollered like this in a long time! Every. Single. Character in this read was a whole mess! When Kai found out about Alex, I nearly coughed up a lung! Girl, how did you not know??? He was not only showing you the red flags, he was waving and throwing them at you!😂 Kai’s friends Monica and Lisa, were just crazy as hell! The stuff that they got into! OMG! Kai meeting Reno in the club, and leaving him that lil’ gift! I knew I was in for a hilarious ride! Kai, was a bomb ass attorney, but off the clock she was ratchet as hell! Reno, was as hood as they come, but he had a heart of gold; and whatever he thought came right on out of his mouth! From the outside looking in, these two would seem to be polar opposites, but they had a connection that was intense, and they brought out the best of each other! Whew! The secrets that came out about Kai’s dad, had me SMDH! The nerve of him to use his power in that way! I was smiling and laughing so hard, I didn’t want this to end! You want a good time while reading, check this one out! 👍👍👍

Pure entertainment and laughter!! If you go into this book trying to take it seriously, you will not enjoy it at all. This book is solely for shits and giggles and an entertaining time!

But when Kailyn tries to leave the club, Reno tracks her down and demands that she come work for him at his cleaners to fix his pants. One argument leads to another and Kailyn finds herself not working in his cleaners but being a live in maid at his home.
Listen!! Just read the book! If you need a book to get you out of a reading slump and keeps you laughing at how crazy and wild these characters are and what they get themselves into, then you are in for a treat! Come prepared for some unhinged and hilarious banter with side characters that all need their own crazy story.

This book was on fire and I couldn’t put it down . Kailyn saw the red lightening but was hoping it would turn green. As women we need to stop thinking we can fix , show or change people . Reno was the man and I love his BDE and he light fire to her and and it made me love him even more . Hell even I would have fought for my mom if someone did something to her so he did the right thing . Scram needs to grow up .and be a man not a hoe. Monica was looking for trouble and she found it when fuckin with Scram she knew better and so let the chips fall.

I finished this book in one sitting and I really enjoyed it. Hilarious and heartfelt at the same time. Urban fiction is always going to do it for me, one of my favorite genres. Such a good hood love story!
