Prince Azikiwe didn’t get the ‘Player Zik’ moniker by chance. Life is for living, and rules are boring. Then his older brother jilts his betrothed and abdicates his royal title. Suddenly the constrictive crown prince title is thrust upon Zik, and his partying days come to an abrupt halt. The least of his worries, though. Now, he contends with the scorned, furious bride chosen for him and a nation at risk of falling into anarchy. Does he have what it takes to become the future king?
As a lover of romance novels, Kiru wanted to read stories about Africans falling in love. When she couldn’t find those books, she decided to write the stories she wanted to read.
Kiru writes sensual stories featuring African characters whether on the continent or in the Diaspora. When she's not writing you can find her either immersed in a good book or catching up with friends and family. She currently lives in the South of England with her husband and three children.
Kiru is a founding member of Romance Writers of West Africa. In 2011, her debut romance novella, His Treasure, won the Book of the Year at the Love Romances Café Awards. She is the 2015 Romance Writer of the Year at the Nigerian Writers Awards and 2017 Author of the Year at the Ufere Awards.
A wonderful enemies to lovers romance. I have always liked Zik, and despite him not being the initial crown prince, he will make a fantastic king. The chemistry between Zik and Amara sizzled and I'm glad that things worked out the way they did between them.
Ms. Taye painted a stunning picture of Bagumi with characters that came alive for me. A fantastic story.
Zik and Amara’s story is a fitting ending to the Royal House of Saene series!
Not to give too much away but Zik’s character is a perfect example of what happens when life throws you curve balls and you have to man up and step up to the plate.
A real reflection of our personal struggles with self worth and thinking others are more deserving than you. Having someone to push you, believe you in you, trust in you is the best feeling and everyone deserves to experience that.
As usual Kiru has used her story to take us on a wonderful journey; crafting a storyline that resonates and we can in one way or another, relate too.
Author Kiru Taye mixes the old world and the new world elements of African society together and gives the reader an entertaining and engaging story. Amara and Zik's story concludes the Royal House of Saene series, and it is my favorite! It's an excellent read, and I recommend it for your reading pleasure.
This was an excellent finale to this series. Zik was everything and eventually I learned to love Amara. So glad the “enemy” was handled (don’t want to spoil it). This was such a GREAT story. Hopefully there will be an update story. ♥️♥️♥️
