I enjoyed this book. I love the way the cat and dog get involved in the investigation, I would say help but I am not sure it is entirely helpful, it's certainly amusing though. There is also the fun added element that they can talk to Felicity. There are a lot of characters which results in a lot of suspects, unless they get killed off of course. There is high body count in this book but it is a cosy mystery, so it's not graphic and they all play a part in the cleverly twisting mystery. A number of clues are dropped for if you are clever enough to pick up on them, I did guess the killer but definitely missed some of the clues. It's a book I would listen to again and with the ending set up nicely for the next book I will be listening to book three in this fun quirk mystery series as well.
Felicity is a wedding planner for the rich and famous and planning a wedding on a private island should stand her in good stead for being asked to plan the royal wedding, especially if things go off without a hitch. Things don't go to plan when the day before the wedding a storm hits the island, keeping everybody trapped. Then the photographers body is found in the bridal suite and another one in a cupboard. It quickly becomes apparent that they are all trapped with a kill, is the killer finished of is there more bodies to come? With the police stuck on the main land and unable to arrive until the storm blows over its up to Felicity, her dog who thinks he is a super hero, her cat that won't do anything unless she gets something in return and her ninja niece to work out who the mystery body in the cupboard is, unmask a killer and make sure the two grooms are ready to say there "I do's".
I liked the narrator. She really makes the story enjoyable by using a number of different voices for the characters, I especially liked the dogs when he was in hero mode.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
