The Father's Troublemaker

Rate this book
She's trouble. I knew it when I met her, but I can't stay away...

She comes to my church to work off her community service. She's here because if she doesn't give me her time, she'll break her probation and serve the rest of her sentence in jail. She's like many others who have worked in my church, so why can't I stay away? Why can't I keep my hands off of her?

Main Couple: Father Cruz/River
POVs Included: Dual POVs (Father Cruz, River)

River is caught trying to buy a stolen game console. She is sentenced to 100 hours community service. When her case worker brings her to a church she’s not sure what to expect. But when her and Father Cruz meet, they have an attraction that they find hard to deny.

This one was a bit different feeling than the others in the series. To me it had more of a story buildup and less sexual tension. For most of the novella, it honestly just seemed like Father Cruz had a platonic interest in helping River.

So when they gave in to their attraction, I can’t say I was feeling that kind of chemistry between them. It seemed kind of out of nowhere.

Still, it was okay. Definitely not my favorite in the series though. Grab the bonus scene if you can.

Blessed ~

You should definitely get the bonus scene! I enjoyed reading this story. Independent of how they met, they were attracted to each other, not knowing if it was mutual, but hoping it was. It most definitely was, and it all came to a head, when there was trouble. I would have liked for this book to have expanded more, in the bonus scene. They were made for each other.

Where's the ending?

I don't think I should have to join some membership just to get the ending of this book, because this book doesn't have a ending, just a statement.
