With each new book in this series, the story gets deeper and more complex. I love seeing the abiding care and concern between the best friends, Willow and Sabine. I’m also quite charmed by the budding romance between Willow and Azil. I’m fascinated by the curse he’s under and rather desperate to learn more about it and what it will take to free him. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
I really enjoyed the first book in this series when I read it earlier this year and was excited to start the second book. In Hazelnut Latte and Something to Say the characters Willow and Azíl continue their search to break Azíl's curse. And their relationship deepens.
I enjoyed this second installment. Azíl and Willow are spending more time together and I liked seeing their relationship deepen as well as seeing more of them. Azíl is slowly learning more about the modern world and I really liked reading about him and seeing how he grew to understand more of the modern world and something misunderstanding things. I like Willow and Azíl together, I think they make for a great couple and enjoyed reading about them.
The plot progresses with Willow being determined to free Azíl from his curse and even Azíl slowly starts to hope such a thing is possible. We see more of Sabine as well as Willow's cousins. And there was a fun scene with some characters from another series set in the same world as well. There are also scenes with the coffee shop and it was fun seeing Azíl working there too now. There is a event toward the end that changes things and I look forward to seeing how things progress in the next book.
To summarize: This was a great second installment in this series. I liked reading about Willow and Azíl, they make for a great couple and I liked seeing their romance deepen in this book. There also is more about their search to free Azíl from his curse and I liked seeing the progress they made there. There is an event at the end of the book that feels like a step in the right direction and I am eager to see the implications of that and how things progress in the next book. I enjoy seeing Azíl learning more about the modern world. I look forward to the next book!
When Greenwood mixes her stories with magic, there is always something great coming our way. Especially because I love that Greenwood doesn't let her books contain drama for the sake of drama. I was therefore really looking forward to this sequel. The first book was really entertaining and I really wanted to read more. I was glad BookSprout let me know there was an arc available.
Although our heroes are still trying to solve all the issues, how can we break the curse and why did their former employee try to use blood magic?, the focus in this book is more on our millennia old magician getting used to the modern world. And although it must have been quite confronting for him, it was quite amusing for us!
Especially because him getting used to our modern times, by learning from tv series that were clearly not made to serve that purpose, also meant that our heroine and hero had some time to work on their connection and relationship. And I really liked how Greenwood's characters emphasized how everything is now a free choice, giving both characters the room to stay true to themselves.
However, since this book is not really focussed on the mystery and the magic we didn't really get many new answers. Which doesn't mean that that part of the story came to a standstill. There was some progress, especially in getting help from people with more knowledge, and I can't wait to find out where that will lead!
This story line continues with Willow and Azil living together in her home. The warlock, Azil, had been cursed 3,000 years ago to live in a teapot. Although Willow gets him out of there temporarily, she needs to find a way to permanently break the curse or he will end up back in the teapot with no way out.
This is a quick and fun read as we watch Azil try to adjust to modern times and we are given additional information about the curse. If they can’t figure this out, Azil will go back into the teapot. Can they solve this mystery when none of her friends have ever seen anything like it before?
This is a quick and enjoyable read! We get some more info and background on the curse as Azil and Willow try to find their way. It’s sweet, it’s fun and it’s really cute as they try to break the curse so Azil can stay out of the teapot. A little exciting, a whole lotta mystery and I absolutely love Spooky the cat 🐈⬛ who always seems to be about creating more then a little mischief!
What an absolute treat! This second book was so charming and well written. First off; I love how these installments are written novella style. The stories are so enjoyable and easy to read, with excellent conflict and problem solving at the end. Also, as I continue to read these stories I’m truly falling in love with the characters. Once you walk into Willow’s coffee shop you are transported into a beautifully magical world. In book two we deal with separating Azìl from his magical shackle of a teapot. It’s so amazing to watch Willow and her best friend come together to help Azìl in any way possible. With knowledge Archeology, magic, good friends and a few new faces I think our crew will succeed! What’s also fun is we get to see Willow and Azìl’s relationship escalate to the next level. We also wat h Azìl climatize to working in the real world, dressing more modern, and even shaving his face! I’ve already started book three and once again I’m totally mesmerized by how fun and sweet these stories are. With each turn of the page we learn more and more about our beloved cast of characters!
I hadn’t read the first book (Pumpkin Spice and All Things Nice), but I was able to follow this storyline right from the beginning. Especially since the author provides a “What Happened Before” (thank you!).
One of the really cool things I haven’t read in anyone’s books for a loooong time is a conversation about sex that included the option of waiting for marriage. ‘It’s a personal choice.’
I love light banter between characters, especially between siblings and/or cousins. Family relationships just seems to provide more depth: “I bake because it brings people joy." "You bake so you get to go to lots of weddings."
On a more serious note (no spoilers), there is some sage life advice: ‘But some curses aren't meant to be broken.’
Fortunately for Willow, she has realized that she doesn't mind having the warlock Azil living in her flat. He was cursed to spend an eternity living in a teapot, and Azil has no idea how to break the curse. But, Willow is determined to find a way to break it before someone finds a way to force him back into the teapot. The problem is that no one they know has ever seen this curse before. These characters are all fascinating, and their interactions are well thought out and interesting, I especially enjoy the Spooky the cat who seems to show up at just the right times. I think this is a fun read with a wonderful mystery that the main characters are determined to solve. Definitely a must read and I couldn't put it down.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
A very enjoyable quick read. This will be short and sweet as to not spoil anything.
As Willow and Azil are growing closer Sabine gets them tickets to her museum exhibit. Oddly enough none of the pieces seem to fit with Azil's teapot and he doesn't recognize any of it. (Sadly, that oddity was glossed over but I hold out hope more will be revealed in books to come.) Anyway, Sabine introduces them to Mona and Daphne who help Azil in a huge way and are researching how to help in a permanent way. After the help, Willow and Azil take the next step.....
This is book 2 in Greenwood's Cauldron Coffee Shop and continues Willow and Azil's story. Hope is the name of the game in this read as Willow's friend and roommate Sabine finds coworkers and friends to help break Azil's curse. While this is well written and ends on a bit of a cliffy. I found overall the storyline was a bit slow paced but hopefully some things I find unnecessary now will have more meaning in future reads in the series. The chemistry between Willow and Azil heats up but Greenwood keeps in clean...so far.

So far in this series, the first two books are just like little vignettes in the lives of Willow and her new love interest Azil. This second book focuses on how Willow and Azil are drawing closer to each other, and her special relationship with Sabine. We learn what Azil’s boundaries are with his teapot, and we are drawn into the magic of this universe. This is a very charming addition to the series, and I’m ready to dive into the next one. If you like charming reads with a little romance, mystery, and magic, this is definitely the right series. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
Book 1 Hype leads to Book 2 Aftermath Book 2 continues from book 1 with the difference of adding two witches who break curses. This series is a slow one with no conclusion or solution. We have already learned from book 1 the cursed warlock is named Azíl who has no magic. He is now able to perform mortal tasks and this opportunity gives Willow a romantic interest. Not much mystery other what was already in place. I am actually a bit disappointed in the pace as we hit some heavy in book 1 and not much solution in book 2. I have more questions than answers as everyone jumps in to solve the curse and free Azíl. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Azíl is such an interesting character. He is learning to modern people while still worried about when he will be found and re-cursed. And Willow is such a great match for him. She is so patient and caring. I love how the story and their romance is progressing.
There were some little and larger appearances with characters from other books was a nice addition. Though it isn't necessary to have read their books. It's just a nice recognition if you have.

I love Willow and Azil story. All the trouble with his curse and his exploratory self doubts make him a complex character. And him trying to adapt to modern world is funny and heart welming at the same time. Can’t wait for the next instalment of their story. I also love that a lot of characters from other series made an apearance here.

Willow and Azil are back and so is the cuteness that is them. They get closer in this one and try to learn more about the curse and themselves. A fun and cute read that while not a lot of action, it was more emotional as they get closer. Plus see more characters from this shared world pop in. Enjoyed this cute quick read.
This is book 2 in the Cauldron Coffee Shop series and the continuation of Willow’s and Azil’s story. Azil a warlock was cursed to live in a teapot Willow sets him free for now and she is determined to find a way to break Azil’s curse. This is a fun and entertaining story I loved it and the characters and I highly recommend this book it’s well worth the read.
I really enjoyed this book, Willow and Azil are trying to find a way to lift his curse. Along the way you get to meet some characters from previous books. This was a fun read and Willow and Azil are finally getting together.

OK, I see what the author is doing now. I's sort of like a day in the life of. I like that. You can get more out of the story that way. There is a lot to do now that they have a direction to work at. Good story. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
It's really a great book to you spend your time. It has the usual Laura's light humor and the good mystery to follow. I really want to discover more about the Azil's curse and how they will break it. As the others books, it is most recommended.

Azil is trying to fit into the modern world with Willow’s help, but concerns about the curse are holding them both back. I liked all the side characters that popped up in this story - some Easter eggs, some with their own series, and Sabine and Sawyer from Unfortunate Decrees and Iced Coffee. This series is getting exciting - I’m looking forward to Peppermint Tea and Nothing is Free.
This entertaining and engaging read has defined MCs and wonderful secondary characters that hopefully will appear in more books. The characters are trying to navigate the modern world, solve problems, and lift a curse. I am thoroughly enjoying this series.

Another charming installment in the series. This one involves Azil getting to know dating life, and the conversations he has with Willow are very sweet and cute. They are a fun couple to read about, and it will be interesting to see how Azil's life will change again once he is severed from his teapot. I read this on Kobo Plus.
I feel pretty much the same way about this one that I do about the previous one. The end doesn't quite feel like the middle of a story, but not much is resolved and it definitely feels more like a chapter of a larger serialized story. It's not bad but it's not for me and I probably won't come back to the series.
Second book is as good as the first.Willow and Azil are on a journey to free him from the tea pot he was trapped in.Some good and not so good things happen along the way. These things just make the story that much better.
Azíl and Willow are trying to find a way to break a 3000 year old curse. Will they find the counter spell before the curse is reinforced and Azíl is sent back into his "prison?"
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Willow and Azil are growing closer and both want to break the curse. Sabine finds someone to help and they manage to sever the bond allowing Azil more freedom. The search to break the curse still continues.
I liked this book. The plot is easily followed. The characters are interesting as well as the relationships between them. The romance is evident, but not overwhelming and the story is a good one. I can definitely recommend this book.
The idea of witches and magic is do much fun as well as the idea of a bakery and a coffee shop serving delicacies made with magic is amazing. I love the characters and their interactions.
