Donuts are on wheels… And murder is on the move. Donut shop owner, and amateur sleuth, Maggie Sharpe, has invested in a food truck, and is preparing for its debut at a local art fair. When a member of the fair board turns up dead, all roads seem to lead to one person, yet everyone seems to be acting strangely, and the suspect list grows by leaps and bounds. Unable to resist the pull of her insatiable curiosity, Maggie dives into investigating the murder. Will she solve it before she either gets framed for the crime, or becomes the next victim? Find out in this delicious Cozy Mystery!
This book is a great addition to the series. The characters are well defined and the mystery well plotted. I enjoyed that majority of the book was set outside of the shop itself and it was interesting to see how they felt about the new endeavor.
Maggie is taking the donut shop food truck to a fair for the first time. Before she can really get started she's involved in trying to solve a murder. The killer could be anyone but she's determined to find out who it is.
I really love this series!!!!! When Maggie and Ruby discuss what they need to do to get their food truck ready for their spot at the fairgrounds and where to pay for their spot. After they get the supplies and head for the fairgrounds they see a lot of police cars, people and an ambulance at the Chamber of Commerce building where they are supposed to get registered. Maggie sees chief Brett Mission in the middle of the upset members of the fair board. He tells Maggie and Ruby to get registered and don't ask questions and just go, will talk later. And boy when he talks later, the weird things start to come to light and people are absolutely confused as to what is going on. Maggie gets in a situation in her food truck and then a situation at the donut shop related to the stuff at the fairgrounds. Now get this book to find out about the craziness at the fairgrounds!!!!! You won't be disappointed!!!!
This mystery had enough suspects that it wasn't really easy to guess. The whodunit made sense, but I hadn't quite guessed it. I loved how Ruby and Maggie set up a small iPad camera in the food truck when they had to leave the fairgrounds. It definitely showed something interesting when they were after the killer!
I love that this series always ends with everyone together and getting the whole thing explained by Brett. They had a new addition to their little party this time though, and it was one that made Myra pretty happy! I can't wait to borrow the next book in KU!
Ainsley definitely has a way of creating such lovable characters that I will not put the books down until they’re finished! The atmosphere is so homey and welcome. I can just picture myself sitting along side Maggie, Ruby, Orson, and Myra…and the Chief. Now a new character was added in this read! I can’t wait to see them incorporated in the last 3 books of this 10 book series.
Next is book 8 “Love is a Batterfield”. Hopefully the “batter…battle field” won’t be with Orson, Maggie, or Myra and their significant others!
Doughnut shop owner Maggie Share is preparing to debut her new food truck at a local art fair. She gets more excitement than she bargained for when fair member body is found. It will have more holes than she imagined.
All is at stake before the killer striker again as her life will be on the line. A fast paced read.
Maggie and Ruby are prepping the food truck for its first outing at the fairgrounds. Then one of the leaders of the fair is found murdered in the public restroom. The fair goes on but Maggie has strange visits from some of the leaders and dives into solving the murder.
This book & series is awesome. Fun, well written with likeable characters. This time they are at the art fair trying out the new food truck when they run into a few mysteries. Pick up a copy to find out what happens.
What a wonderful author Emma Winslet is! I enjoyed all 7 of this fabulous series. The characters were wonderful and the storyline was fun! I can't wait until book 8 is ready to read!
This short cozy mystery was a great read; just the right number chapters; just the right number situations to think through. The only thing that bothers me is when actual cities/towns are used and it does match up with my memory of them in that state. Thanks.
Book seven of this fantastic series was wonderful! It was so good that I could simply not put it down! I can usually figure out who did what to whom! However, this time I bead wrong. How about that?!?
This is book # 7 in the Raised and Glazed Cozy Mysteries. The group from the donut shoppe are out using their food truck at the fairgrounds when a murder happens. Maggie & Ruby figure out the mystery. Fun, entertaining, fast read.
A quick read but good nonetheless. Maggie now owns a food truck to sell mini donuts. But of course there’s a dead body and Maggie figures out the guilty party.
Mini donuts that come to you, do I need to say more?
I was not sure what kind of things the team and Dogwood Donuts would get into who they get into with their food truck. They had a heck of a time just purchasing it and getting it home. (If you have not read Sweet Suite Revenge, you should!)
I like the new characters that I hope we see again. I am not sure that I would have stayed at the festival or that I would do it again if I were the Dogwood crew.
I was so glad that they figured out why some of the committee members were acting so oddly, I could not figure that out.
On to the next one of these super quick but fun reads!
