If you're looking for a cozy read with lots of treats, snuggles, a touch of humor, and happily ever afters, you're in the right place. Strife designs her books to be uplifting and inspirational escapes.
Her work typically features small towns, country settings, Christmas themes, and chivalrous characters who sometimes swear and get themselves into and out of suspenseful situations. Strife often pulls from her experience in the U.S. Air Force when writing her military characters and tense situations but always prefers her stories are tied up with a bow by the end.
She enjoys reading on rainy and snowy mornings with a Christmas-scented candle burning and a fire going, even if it’s just the fake one in her RV. Her stories are inspired by the strengths and sacrifices of those around her and fueled by caramel macchiatos and Twinkies.
Strife lives with an amazing man who can build anything he puts his mind to and a rescued dog that steals socks and chases the vacuum. I decided to keep going with this series when the first installment, a Valentine’s-themed story, was recommended to me on my Kindle. This series features a large family of sisters as they work together with their parents on their large working farm. In the previous installment and in this one, the legacy of the farm is sort of in question as the parents know they can’t keep up with the farm much longer and the sisters are all in talks over who will assume responsibility of it and keep the family business going. I really love this part of the story that seems like it will overarch throughout the whole series.
Rosemary’s job on the farm is to run the produce and she does a great job. She assumes she will be the one to take over the farm and has basically given up on finding love because there are very few eligible young men in her town, and she knows she will never leave. Kieran is a young man that shows up in the first book after he falls ill while winter camping near the farm. Rosemary’s family allows him to stay in their home to recover, and while he is growing stronger, the two fall in love.
This is a sweet romance and I love the way animals featured so heavily in this installment. I love the way Amber and Fynn from the first book were still so much of the plot. There are a couple of bumps along the way with old ex’s and such, but it was a nice gentle read for me before bedtime at night. I have never heard of anyone decorating so much for St Patrick’s Day and carrying that theme so far, so it was a lot of fun for me to read that aspect. They even have a St Patrick’s Day party.
Quick read, no unnecessary drama, great palette cleanser between heavy reads. The next installment is Easter-themed, so I will be reading it soon.
This is a clean cute romance. I didn’t connect well with the characters, possibly due to missing any previous books in the series. With that lack of connection, the struggles were of minimal interest. The lead female character was rather strong while the male lead seemed to be lacking. It was cute but not noteworthy.
Going into this book, I didn't have high expectations. I didn't care for the first book of the series, but I was still interested in what happens with the rest of the sisters. That is the reason I kept reading the series. I am glad I did. This one drew me in from the very beginning. I read it within a day, only stopping when I had to. I loved the main characters and how they had their own struggles they had to put in the past.
There were a lot of cute little moments throughout the book that I absolutely loved. I did feel like some scenes moved a little too quickly, but that often happens in shorter books.
I can honestly say that this is the first St. Patrick's Day themed book I have read that has made me feel immersed in the holiday. It does such a great job of coming back to the holiday and making it feel like it is all around you. I wasn't expecting it, but I never knew how much I would like it.
I look forward to the rest of the books in the series. If they are all as sweet as this one, than I think I will really enjoy them.
I received an ARC of this book from the author, and I voluntarily left this honest review.
Rosemary is the oldest sister and runs a vegetable stand at the Farmer’s Market. She is planning on taking over the family farm so her parents can retire. She has six sisters and they all have different interests on the farm and have booths at the Farmer’s Market at different times throughout the year.
Rosemary’s sister Amber now has a boyfriend, Fynn. He is former military and a mechanical engineer. He stays to work on the farm taking care of anything mechanical. One of his military buddies, Kieran, ends up in the mountains near the farm to try to get his head on straight. While deployed, his fiancé breaks things off and he is devasted. He goes to safe a baby goat and puppy and ends up in trouble on the mountain. Fynn, Amber and her dad save Kieran and bring him to the farm to recuperate.
There is an instant attraction between Rosemary and Kieran but Rosemary is also nursing a broken heart. As Kieran heals, will they get to know each other better? Can they each work through their broken hearts? Are their feelings real or just a rebound from their broken hearts?
I received this book as an ARC copy and fell in love with the characters.
Awww such a sweet story.Rosemary is such a sweetheart, who is alway's there for her family. She does not want to leave the farm and move away. She has broken up with her boyfreind and does not think she will find anyone else until she meets Kieran. Kieran was rescued from the mountains where he went to save 2 baby animals(They are adorable)and is brought back to their farm for recovery. He is heartbroken about his Fiance leaving him. Rosemary slowly helps him recover from his injuries and they start to get close. As soon as Rosemary and Kieran get close and confess their feelings for each other,Kieran's ex-Fiancè turns up wanting him back. Will Rosemary get her heart broken again or will she fight for Kieran? Highly reccomend this book to anyone who likes a sweet romance with a HEA and no cliffhangers. I was given an arc copy of this book by the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I loved reading Kiss Me for Luck(Farmers’ Market Sisters Book 2)!!! All about Rosemary O’Leary she’s the eldest and runs the produce section on the farm & Kieran McAllister a military veteran. Kieran was camping on Polar Ridge, when he tried saving a few animals & got stuck. He sent his coordinates to his friend Fynn and he knew he was in trouble. He asked Amber & her dad for help, they rescued Kieran, a Labrador puppy & a baby goat off the side of a cliff. Brought him down & he’s being nursed back to health by Rosemary & her mom. Read about Rosemary & Kieran and the many adventures they go thru on Sweet Springs Farm!! There’s lots of emotions and difficult situations that these two must deal with! Plus all the daily family drama on a farm with seven girls!!! I’m really enjoying reading this series, and getting to know each of the girls!! I can’t wait to read book three!!!
🍀Life continues on the farm. Love is in the air for another sister as Rosemary continues to care for the handsome Kieran after he was rescued from a cliff. Life clicks along on the farm as Kieran decides to stay to work. Will there be a love connection?
🍀My Thoughts
🍀Kiss Me for Luck is the second love story in the Farmers’ Market Sisters series.
🍀The sisters strike me as pretty innocent. They are hard working and kindhearted, bordering on old-fashioned. Their love interests are good men who are hard working as well. The majority of characters are easy to like.
🍀This series is a nice change of pace right now. In today’s crazy world, it is a treat to read a sweet romance like this that revolves around a darn near perfect family.
🍀Kiss Me for Luck is a quick read that is warm and fuzzy. It is the perfect read for St. Patrick’s Day!🍀
This was a lovely, clean, romantic story with Rosemary the oldest sister from Sweet Springs Farm getting her story told.
Kieran, Fynn’s friend, is rescued after getting into difficulties while camping in the ridge above the farm. He comes with a kid goat and a puppy along with emotional baggage. Will Rosemary nurse him back to health both physically and emotionally?? Read to find out!
It can be read as a stand alone but much better if you have read Love in Bloom, the first book in the series, to set the scene.
Thoroughly enjoyed the animals antics and farm life plus the book is set during St Valentine’s Day and later St Patrick’s Day….plenty of green in some of the scenes just like here in Northern Ireland where I’m from!!
Received this as an Advanced Reader Copy and this is my honest opinion.
What can heal a wounded soul? Furry animals and unconditional family love. The story focuses on Rosemary, a strong woman working toward heading up running her family’s ranch. The oldest of 7 sisters, she has felt a tremendous responsibility for them most of her life. Her compassion extends to all she meets including Kieran, a Veteran found on a mountainside trying to save some furry babies. Read how Rosemary and Kieran’s journey heals their hearts. Rosemary’s family is of Irish descent. The reason I gave 4 stars was I was unsure where the story takes place. I believe it was in the states but was in a community with a strong Irish presence? It took a while to figure that out and sometimes it made following the story a bit confusing, but the premise of hope and love outshines that issue. I received this book as a ARC.

They meet in adverse circumstances when he is injured and she nurses him back to health. With little to do except talk to pass the time, they lower their protective walls and really get to know each other. That is when they each start to heal the scars left on their hearts by their respective ego-centric exes.
The characters of Rosemary and Kieran are nicely defined, and are well supported by her family and the residents of the town who we meet in passing. This story does stand entirely on its own. But it also flows seamlessly and overlaps with the previous book 'Love in Bloom'. It is an enjoyable and upllifting book with which to spend a lazy afternoon.
I received an ARC copy of this story from the author via BookFunnel and voluntarily chose to share my review.
I enjoyed returning to the Sweet Springs Family Farm.j I liked that this book mostly focused on AMber, the oldest of the seven girls. Her character was easy to like. hje was strong, loyal, learning to stand up for herself, and a bit of a mother hen with her siblings. She was also conflicted about her responsibility in taking over the family farm and wanting to fall in love and raise a family. This book was funny at times, serious at times, and romantic too. I was so glad Keiran met this family and with their help he was able to heal. The baby goat and puppy that followed him sounded too cute. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
The second book in the Farmers' Market Sisters series features a fun, sweet romance cultivated between Rosemary and Kieran.
Rosemary and her six sisters lead busy lives with their parents on the family farm, as they work together to hold onto Sweet Springs Family Farm, trying their best to keep the farm business sustainable.
As he's recuperating from an injury after rescuing two stranded farm animals, Kieran and Rosemary develop a loving friendship. Kieran and Rosemary realize their common core values of hard work and dedication to family legacy empower them to face a promising future together.
Rosemary had always planned to take over the farm with her sister, Amber, when their parents retired. She has resigned herself to the thought that she may never find a man who shares her dream. Kieran risks his life to save a pair of young animals and in turn needs to be saved by Rosemary's family. When he falls ill,she tends to him and finds herself falling for the handsome veteran. They grow close as he recovers but will the return of his ex at the St. Patrick's Day party derail the budding relationship? As short, sweet romance. I am enjoying this series very much. I received an ARC copy of this book and this is my freely offered review.
A delightful, heartwarming story of a century old farm run by the parents and their 7 daughters. It is heartwarming in that the family interacts very lovingly and each daughter takes responsibily for different aspects of the farm's business. Thrown into the mix are a injured man (Kieran), animals, ex-girl/boyfriends of both Kieran and Rosemary who regret breaking up. A loving, sweet, clean, fun loving story. I so enjoy the family chemistry! I was provided an andvance copy by the author and this reflects my honest thoughts.
A most delightful story of seven sisters working on the family farm. They each run their own business on the farm. Rosemary O'Leary is the oldest sister. She is afraid of never finding a husband. He dad will retire soon and she will be in charge. Kieran McAllister is injured while rescuing two small animals. His friend Fynn, brings him back to the O'Leary farm to heal. Flynn is dating Amber, Rosemary 's sister. This story is filled with humor and love. I received an ARC of this book and I highly recommend reading it.
I really enjoyed this book. Rosemary will be taking over the family farm when her parents retire. Jer fiancé broke up with her, because he didn't want to stay there. He wanted to live in the city. Kieran's fiancé broke up with him while he was deployed. Will Rosemary and Kieran find love with each other? Will he want to stay on the farm? These questions are answered in the book.
I received a free ARC, and this is my honest opinion.
I love this series! In Kiss Me For Luck, Rosemary is the sister who is nursing Kieran back to health. With Kieran bedridden, Rosemary spends a lot of time talking with him. Slowly their hearts begin to mend and they discover they have a lot in common. I loved sharing their journey to an HEA as I read straight through this well written book. There were some interesting potholes to keep the reader interested. The book works well as a stand alone, but I am enjoying the entire series.
This is the second book in this series. Rosemary, the oldest sister of seven, and her mother, have been taking care of Kieran. He and Rosemary are drawn to each other. When he is healed enough to work, her father asks if he wants a job on the farm – of course he does! Old flames show up for both Rosemary and Kieran. It is a lovely story and I look forward to the next book. I received an advance copy from the author for my honest review.
Great story. Rosemary and Kieran make a wonderful couple. Their attraction is immediate but low key. This is a clean, sweet romance. I like that all the family is involved, but the main focus remains on Rosemary and Kieran. Their exes both make an appearance to provide a little conflict. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I received a free copy of this book and this is my voluntary, honest review.
This is the second book in a series about 7 sisters who help keep their family farm going. This story is about the oldest girl, Rosemary. She had been engaged, but her fiance broke up with her because he wanted to live in the city. Rosemary thinks she will never marry and work the farm all her life. She meets Kieran after he is injured saving two small animals and helps nurse him back to health. His fiancee broke up with him while he was deployed. Kieran and Rosemary continue growing close after he heals and starts helping on the farm. Crazily enough, both their exes show up and try to get back with them. This is a clean, sweet romance. I have read this and the first one, and look forward to reading the rest of the series.
I find the family that this series is focused on a bit self righteous and childish. Rosemary was the oldest but most of the time acts like a very young girl. Kieran was engaged to marry an extremely selfish bully. I couldn't understand how he could have been so broken up about losing someone like her and then falling for Rosemary. It was just an odd group of characters in this installment & not in an enjoyable way.
I really enjoy this family, their farm and their ethics, standards and commitment. Kieran and Rosemary's story is a good one. Love the animal aspects. What I enjoyed the most, was the pearls of wisdom randomly dispersed among the story. Learned a lot whilst enjoying a good read. Thumbs up from me, on another great story in the series.
Sweet read. Low angst - I liked that the characters TALKED to each other, rather than just assuming they knew what the other one was thinking. I do find the gossipy younger sisters a bit much though. Hopefully in future books they will mature a bit... Overall I liked the book and look forward to reading more of this series. I received an ARC and am voluntarily reviewing it
Next book in the Sweet Springs Family Farm series. Kieran is recuperating at the family farm. Rosemary the oldest daughter is taking turns with her mother caring for him. Both Rosemary and Kieran are trying to get over broken relationships. Sweet, clean romance of second chance love. Enjoyed it very much.
I was given this advanced copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.
feel good read We all know life is not about rainbows and sunshine, but if you need a pick me up to make you believe there are good people out there again, read this book. I liked how the characters had each others back in spite of having different opinions on things. I received this book as a review copy.
I was looking for a short, quick read for St. Patrick's day for a challenge. I found this book and the cover drew me in. I adored this very sweet story of Rosemary and Kieran. They both had some settling to do with issues if the heart, but I love how they came about doing it. All of the characters blended nicely together and I am sure they each have a story (the sisters of Rosemary). However, I strongly disliked Eloisa, she was doing the most and Isaiah was just pitiful, lol. Eloisa made my teeth itch, lol! Just a feel good story all around though.
The oldest daughter in the family gets her chance at love. But, is he willing to stay on the farm? Rosemary and Kieran get their chance in this series. I am looking forward to Willow's story. I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This is the first time I've read a book by this author and I'll definitely read more. I loved book from the beginning. It seemed more real tp me than other stories. I love how the sisters help each other, love their family heritage, and their community.
I really liked Kieran and Rosemary's story. They've both been hurt before so trusting is not easy. I love their quiet personalities. After reading the first two books in the series and really enjoying them, I know I'm going to have to read all seven books.
Kiss Me for Luck (Farmers’ Market Sisters, #2) by Elysia Strife – Rosemary’s luck is about to change when she helps nurse one of Fynn’s friends back to health after a hiking accident. Kieran’s ex is going to have a rude awakening when she meets Big Teddy lol! Happy Reading!
