Jamie and Anna in their own ways were lost souls looking to find themselves. Jamie had lost his wife, and he was hiding out on the Escape avoiding life. Anna was in college letting her parents decide her life, then one morning she woke up thinking she was not about that life anymore. She bought a one way ticket from California to LaVega, Florida, where she got a job as a deck hand on the Escape. At first Jamie was really withdrawn and standoffish, but as time went on he began to open up with Anna's bright and sunny personality. Together they seemed to fit, bringing their good traits out, to see their strengths. as the attraction grew between them. A most unusual story as Jamie deals with all the strife in his life, and Anna handles her discontentment in her life.

This was a great book that had your emotions on high alert wonder if everything will work out for our main characters who for different reasons need each other.
Jamie Lovell is still grieving the loss of his wife and decides to give it all up, his movie career and sail off on his yacht the Escape for some peace and quiet and after hiring a new deck hand then leave. Anna Strickland has run away from her rich parents because they want a certain career for her but she has a different dream and so she left. Now having lied on her resume to get a job it works and she is the new deckhand for a Mr Lovell but she was shocked at how gorgeous he is and how hard she is going to have to work to keep her hands to herself. It’s been 5 lonely years and now with Anna working for him on his yacht made him smile for the first in a long while she is happy, enjectic and did an amazing job with everything her gave her and when she left she was just as happy but he wondered how she will once she found out it’s just the two of them.Once they set sail and hung out and talked and got to know each other better the more they felt there desire building until they crossed the line and now there relationship has been exposed with pictures of them together broke and caused problems but how will Jamie react when he learns he is to be a father. There are so many more things going on in this book that keeps the reader turning the pages and to find out how it all turns out you’ll have to get it.

This is part of the Billionaires Of La Vega Series but can be read as a standalone. Jamie is the owner/captain of a yacht moored in the sunny waters of lazy La Vega, Florida. Anna, a wealthy student at a California college was bored with college life and her life path. So on a whim she flew across the country to La Vega after seeing it on the internet. She left college without telling anyone, not ever her parents or roommate. Her life was definitely about to change with a seedy hotel room, a new job as a deck hand for Captain Jamie Grump. Both were running away from something and were hanging in the wind. They both saved each other. He was overcome with guilt and grief and she was lost. A slow burn romance that is heartwarming at times and heartbreaking at others. Well written with strong characters, lots of chemistry and a good HEA. I read an arc via the author and voluntarily chose to review it.

This is a heartwarming story about Jamie and Anna, they're an unlikely couple who met when Anna was hired as a deckhand on Jamie's yacht. It's a story that is well-written, smooth flowing and totally engrossing. Their characters are very different she's such a happy go lucky person whilst Jamie's a recluse who was once a big movie star but after the death of his wife, he gave it all up and now lives a quiet life on his yacht.

Over time a friendship developed between the young girl trying to find herself and the man still wracked by grief for his loss. Anna's sunny nature. starts to melt the edges of his heart that is until the paparazzi discover their friendship, will their budding relationship survive the tensions they now have to face? Whatever happens, neither of their lives will ever be the same again. This is a slow build love story that evolves from friendship and mutual respect into love where the sex is implied but that's all there are no graphic scenes.

Anna is a student that leaves everything behind to chase her own adventure instead of the path her parents want for her. Jamie is a former actor that is in hiding after his wife has died. Anna signs on to work on his boat for him. Together they sail away enjoying the open sea and not knowing where they will be stopping next. Sparks fly between them. Soon Anna has wormed her way into his heart and things heat up between them. However, when someone snaps a picture of them, and the media goes crazy everything changes. Will they stay together? Can they move past everything that's happened?

This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Jamie is a former movie star who lost his wife in an accident and he's been living as a recluse on his yacht ever since. Anna recently dropped out of her studies and ran away to the other side of the country to find herself. She gets hired as a deck hand on his ship. At first he appears to be a grumpy sort of boss but soon they develop a friendship and Jamie is affected by Anna's sunny nature. But then the paparazzi get wind of their relationship and this causes tension. This story had some beautiful imagery about dealing with grief and getting back into light and love. Sex is implied but it took place off the page, with no graphic scenes. I enjoyed this story a lot and finished it in one sitting.

Anna is at college but she is not happy, her life is set out for her but she wants something else. An advert about an up and coming town called La Vega takes her interest and she decides to move there to see what she can make of herself without her families help.
She finds a job on a yacht, she has experience through her own family's boats, so she applies. But her new boss is very surly and grumpy, even though he is good looking. Anna finds out the reason for his demeanor, maybe Anna is just what grumpy Jamie needs to help him heal.

I enjoyed this story and would recommend reading it.

Beautiful romance
It's a romance that I found interesting by its characters, Anna, a student who throws everything out and dumps the life traced by her parents, and Jamie, a solitary former great actor, who lives confined his boat following a drama, until he hires Anna and confronts his loneliness. The meeting of these 2 people offers everyone a new life. It is both tender, restorative for them, with a little bit of drama. It takes a little time for their story to begin, but it's a beautiful romance.

Jamie is dealing with the loss of his wife and just wants to be left alone and is running away from life due to his grief. Anna is running away to find herself. She is hired as a deck hand on the yacht Jamie owns. The relationship starts slow and grows. Jamie is withdrawn and Anna is out going and happy. This is just a wonderful story of two people coming together and healing. This is just a great story.

Anna was getting bored and wanted new beginning. Anna move to Las Vegas, Florida to do something different. She need to get a job and end up doing it on a yacht. Jamie was easy to work for and she enjoy the time with him. She could feel that there was something going on with him. She had a way of feeling that about people she met. He feel something in her too. They go on ride in the ocean and she get him to get out of himself. Read and see how they where this friendship would go.

They are both running from the past and she gets a job on his boat but she wants him bad. She knows she needs to clear what happened in her past. He is handsome but grumpy and it seems to make her want him even more. Now she is pregnant and she needs to make a decision. Will she tell she is having his baby? Will it make it worse? Could it make it better? See if they can make it

4.5/5 Stars - Poor Jamie and his loss that led him to the darkness of the water. Little did he know that hiring Anna would awaken his desires of things past and boost him back into the light. She was a little to nosey and talked to much to her friend Nadia about stuff she shouldn't have, but whatever floats their boat. Ha! I read this one in less than a day, it was that engaging.
