I liked some parts, but some things REALLY annoyed me.

This book follows Ava, Harper’s friend from the Omega Compound, as she is rescued from months of abuse by a recluse alpha pack. It started well, and I really enjoyed the first 20% or so, but then too many things irked or annoyed me. My main issues with this book are the timeline and the way the whole pregnancy and birth are described.

As was the case in the first book, the romance, and smut happened too fast, and that’s what killed it for me. I find it was even worse in this book, considering the level of abuse and mental state Ava was in when she first met the alphas. Once again, the timeline was confusing because it felts as though many weeks passed, but then they say that it’s only been 2 weeks. Out of those 2 weeks, she spent the first 2 days getting acclimated to the house, then she spent 7 days locked in her room because she needed time alone, and another 4 days in a catatonic state. Meaning that everything else happened in the span of only 1 or 2 days? It just does not make any sense, and it does not fit with what the author wrote.

Ava was drugged and raped repeatedly for many months, she was then drugged some more and put in an artificial coma for more months. When she woke up, she was very understandably scared of all alphas, yet she had sex with the Grey pack 2 weeks later. Where is the healing journey? It started super well with them caring for her, while also giving her space, she was making slow progress, steady small steps, and then BAM, hormones came into the picture and it was insta-love and sex-fest.

When I say healing journey, I am mostly talking about mental healing, but also physical healing. She couldn’t walk by herself when she came to them, but we didn’t see anything about her slowly healing and getting stronger. She just rest for a while and then she was totally functional physically speaking. No special diet either to compensate for the fact that she’s been in a coma for months.

Romance-wise, it happened too fast for me to really get on board with it. I understand that hormones play a big part in the physical aspect of their relationship, but she dropped the L-bomb on them after only 2 weeks (and I repeat that for 11 days out of those 2 weeks, she was either catatonic or in her bedroom, alone). Suddenly, she is in love with them, would sacrifice herself for them, wants to name her unborn children after their loved ones… And the alphas are not doing any better. They are impressively efficient, they managed to build a nursery and stock it in a few days only, and they already mention how Ava’s body (breast and belly) is changing due to her pregnancy, and how amazing it will be to raise kids together and be one big happy family.

The more political aspect of this book was interesting, and something that I wanted to see happening since the beginning of the first book, but again, it just all happened so fast and was resolved too easily. It started well and logically, with pressure from the population, outrage, and debate, and then it was dealt with as a super simplistic problem. There is a MAJOR political decision to be made, one that will affect the whole country, and they just asked a few questions to ONE key witness, stopped their questions when she becomes too emotional, and then proceeded to vote on the matter and voilà! Problem resolved in less than an hour.

So, while there was a lot of potential in this book, and I really enjoyed the beginning, the way the romance, the pregnancy, and even the political aspect of the plot unfolded just made me roll my eyes too many times for me to say that I truly enjoyed this book.

Omega Lost is a return to the dark dystopian world where betas are no longer falling pregnant, so all omegas, once they present, become the property of the Omega Compound, where they learn to follow the severe rules of The Omega Creed. There they are made into the perfect breeding machines to be sold to approved packs or sent to heat nests to provide babies to beta couples. It is a very bleak existence where omegas are given a number instead of a name and treated worse than a dog. Omega Lost is Ava’s story (we met Ava briefly in Omega Found).

If you read Omega Found, know that this story is still a darker omegaverse, but there is less angst and more outright pain. My heart ached for Ava, the broken omega who has been abused first at the compound and then in the omega heat nests. Watching her relive her trauma or seeing how she was dealing (or not dealing) with it from an outsider’s POV was crushing. But it made her HEA that much sweeter. And no one deserved a HEA more than her and the Grey Pack.

I loved the men of the Grey Pack. Three alphas and a beta. Four men who knew that the little omega they had rescued needed more than just time to heal. She needed security and love, and the ability to finally make her own choices.

I am pleased with the level of spice. It is slightly different from other omegaverse stories, but you still get plenty of knotting and slick. I felt the s3xual interactions were not as frantic as you often get, and the lovers were more aware – less hormonally driven. This gave a more emotionally connected feeling to the scenes. I really enjoyed that touch. Not all OV has to be the same!

This book is gripping, and it made me cry multiple times. While it ends in a HEA, it was work getting there. Whenever things started going too well for Ava and the pack, I checked to see how much of the story was left. The knowledge that the big bad wolf was still out there kept me constantly feeling something terrible was going to happen.

This can be read as a standalone, though I recommend reading the previous book first. It gives a greater understanding of the plight of the omegas and what occurs at the Omega Compound. There are also several characters found in both books.

The Omega War Series
This series is set in a very dark world. So many trigger warnings: abuse, rape, molestation, graphic violence against women. I still haven’t decided if I believe it was necessary to make the world so dark in order to show the contrast of what real love and affection are, but the series was compelling.

Omega Found: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
This has a super dark beginning and there is so much abuse that the FMC suffers before she meets her pack. However, the pack themselves are just a bunch of cinnamon rolls.

Omega Lost: DNF ⭐️
This book opens with the FMC unconscious and pregnant. Her body having been used and abused by so many that she didn’t even get the choice in being pregnant. I couldn’t handle this premise and chose to skip it.

Omega Fallen: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Omega Creed has fallen and omegas are free now to live their own lives, but that doesn’t mean the prejudice is gone. Gabrielle (a young omega we meet in Found) just wants to find a job and be free, but it’s really difficult in this world. The pack she meets is so loving. Loved the development in this one.

ava’s story was nothing short of heart wrenching and empowering all in one. while she suffered a lot at the hands of the OC i loved getting to see her grow and work through her trauma with her pack. her story and the way she developed throughout the book literally had me in tears.

i loved every single person in the grey pack!! they all attended to ava differently and were there for her in their own ways. i especially loved that she had an instant friend in leah when she first arrived to the pack. (and i loved nash with my entire heart!!)

excited to dive into the next book!

I enjoyed the beginning with the dark dystopian world that I remember from the first book, but I did not expect the sudden change to a political battle by the latter half of the book, which was not as interesting to me. The FMC 864/Ava was conflicting personality of stubbornness and trauma, and while I'm glad she got her HEA, everything ended up a little too easily for her and her new pack. For someone who only had previous sexual experiences by rape, Ava was a little too accepting of intimate relations with the men IMO and accepting their bitemarks.

I'm still interested in checking out the last book in the trilogy with the new world where , but I think some of my initial interest in the series was based on the concept of cinnabun/sweetverse mates in a dystopian world.

Omega Lost is another hit from author Evelyn Flood!

Omega Lost is a standalone, interconnected novel that takes place in the same dystopian universe as Omega Found. While we see a few cameos from Harper and her pack (enough so that I would suggest a reread prior to starting this book) much of the story surrounds Ava and her men.

Ava is an omega that is pregnant with twins. Pregnancy is rare enough as it is, and to have twins is nothing short of a miracle. She is found by Max, one of the alphas of the Grey pack. Max stumbles upon Ava while trying to secure medicine for his beta friend, cousin to one of the other alphas in the pack. Max finds himself distraught at the idea of leaving Ava behind to be further abused, so him and his pack decide to rescue her.

Other alphas in the pack include Lucien, Luciens younger beta brother Bastian, and Nikolai. Nikolai also has a son from a previous bondmate named Nash.

This pack, in a word, is incredible. I LOVED these men! They were so patient, attentive to Ava’s needs, and mature. They also worked harmoniously and there were virtually no issues within the pack by the time Ava joins them. It was refreshing to have an outside evil instead of an internal one. I also loved that we got to see the pack grow and intertwine throughout the book, as opposed to spending much of the time fighting the antagonist. Flood does an excellent job of navigating trauma while falling in love. The trauma was handled with such care and I enjoyed seeing Ava push against it and not let it define her.

Overall I loved this book. I was fortunate enough to receive an arc and I am so thankful for that! I read book one earlier in the year and this is likely to be one of my favorite series from this year. While Flood is a new author don’t let that deter you from reading, you wouldn’t know it with how strong her writing is.

💀 Multiple trauma triggers in this book - sensitive readers check before reading

Not as good as the first (which I didn’t rate highly either but wanted to give the series the benefit of the doubt).
This one was more inconsistent, cheesy and apart from the drama at the start with the hospital escape nothing really happens.

Probs won’t continue with the series just not for me this time.

DNF, as another reviewer said: the timeline makes zero sense. In fact, I don’t know that Nik and Emery’s timeline even makes sense given how old they are (were) and how old Nash is.

She’s getting physical wayyyy too fast.
Am I the only one who felt bad for Leah? She’s just what, devoted her life to all of them with no life of her own?

It was just meh, and dark, and I stopped reading.

Evelyn flood did it again with omega lost. This is such a emotional, gut wrenching story that comes with an amazing ending to this world she created. Ava is so strong and resilient after all that she’s had to go through as a omega with no rights. She is essentially property of the government. Her alphas max, Nik, Luc, and the sweetest beta bastian are the missing pieces she never knew she needed in a world where she’s only ever experienced suffering from alphas. The way the pack supports and completes her was amazing. Definitely get your tissues ready cause this story will break you, but then put you right back together. 10/10 recommend 🥰

"This pack who saved me, protected me, cherished me, and are willing to put everything they hold dear on the line for me. Who see past my scars and carefully patch up the cracks in my battered heart over and over again.
I thought that I was broken. But the truth is that we are all perfectly imperfect, and I realize, glancing around at them, that there is nothing that I will not do to keep our family together."

Returning back to a dark dystopian world where Betas are unable to become pregnant. The Omega Creed steps in capturing Omegas as they present and training them, stripping them of their names, holding them in cages, and giving them strict rules to follow. Once put through training, they are sold or put into heat nests and forced into heat, becoming breeding machines for beta couples.

Ava is on the verge of dying and pregnant with twins taken to the hospital. Restained and confused, she meets Max... a member of the Grey Pack. Max quickly teaches her that there are Alphas you can trust!

Watching Ava fight through the trauma she went through was absolutely heartbreaking! Thankfully, she has 3 Alphas and 1 very charming beta to help her work through it and support her even when she thinks she's broken beyond repair. What she doesn't realize is that The Grey Pack is also broken! Together, the 5 of them repair each other!

This was one of the darkest omegaverse books I have ever read. I thoroughly enjoyed the plot! I will definitely be reading the rest of the series!

Ava was an extremely strong omega, which I LOVED. One of my biggest pet peeves about omegaverse books is how weak the omegas can be. Ava was definitely NOT weak. Even with all she went through, reliving her trauma, and carrying twins!

Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Plot:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Humor: ...
Spice:🌶 🌶
Dark: ✔️ ✔️ ✔️
Medium burn
Dark, mild angst, strong FMC, 3 broody alphas and 1 teddy bear beta, unwanted pregnancy, FMC drugged against her will, SA, PA, kept in captivity

Can be read as a standalone, but makes more sense if first book is read first.

For starters, there’s so much overly dramatic writing. ‘Panic slices through me, anger courses through my veins, my heart drops to my stomach, bile rises in my throat, fear takes root in my chest and twists, nerves twist my intestines into knots.’ It’s like a damn antacid commercial.

The dialogue is decidedly more British as well. ‘She drove me mad,’ ‘bathing costume,’ etc. Which I don’t mind, usually, but it seemed like a symptom of further devolvement from the care and consideration obviously put into the beginning of the first book, the second seeming like a draft rattled off and sent to print without as much thought.

We hear more from the men than Ava, which isn’t what we’re here for at all. I’ve read RH with 10 more men than are present here that was still able to prioritize the surprisingly sane female’s perspective.

We also don’t get to experience she and her initial savior’s first time together?? The main connection where there had been a culmination of tension that would have been satisfying to see unleashed. It’s just mentioned the next morning as having been great. I only wish we could agree.

For someone whose only sexual experiences have ever been by assault, it’s a bit jarring to wrap our minds around how rapidly the literal floodgates of her legs open. It’s a coping mechanism I recognize but not a healthy initiation into a permanent group relationship. Just a little more easing into it would be nice, that’s all.

And then, in her endless wisdom, she makes her baby’s middle name Christian.
Christian Grey.
A famously sedate name for a newborn.
I’d be interested to see the scrapbook section for baby’s first BDSM club.

Speaking of kink shaming when it comes to babies, the rest of the spice is… Yikes. I think I’d honestly be furious if my partner drank that much breast milk from the tap. It’s not him that has to make more! And she has twins to feed!

Despite the conflicts being tied up in a bow, the best part about the ending is that there was one.

Ava has been violated in unimaginable ways, restrained, repeatedly drugged and raped, degraded, and dehumanized. Now pregnant and on the verge of death, her rescue comes from an Alpha who endangers his entire pack to save her. Max, Lucien, Nikolai, and Bastien, along with Leah and Nash have led a secret existence since a tragedy touched their lives. Hidden for years, they have never fully healed from loss but now Ava offers them a second chance at happiness. More, Ava offers Omegas everywhere a chance.

An enjoyable read but for me, not as good as the first book. I realize this is fiction and the reader must suspend reality. I mean, scents, knots, heats...However, working at a Trauma Center, I couldn't;t get past Ava's quick recovery. Her body was not her own for years; she was conditioned to believe and react in certain ways. She was broken. And within days, she went from not being able to stand touch (normal reaction) to having sex (hypersexuality could occur and would be unhealthy). Beyond her physical reactions, trust was freely given within days as well. Not going to happen. I liked the characters, the empowerment, and the 'family is everything' feel but Ava's instant recovery overshadowed the story for me. I realize there couldn't have been a realistic healing timeframe because in RL it may never have occurred but if her rebound had slowed and her trust not immediately given I would have been happier. There needed to be more recovery development. I loved her pregnancy and I appreciated that the babies were born before the epilogue which is typical, so we got to spend a little time with the new family dynamics. I added a star for their early arrival. I would have loved even more because family was the strength of this story.

Alright, Omega Lost picks up with Ava’s story, and whew, it’s heavy. Ava’s been through hell, and now she’s trying to rebuild a life with the Grey pack: a group of damaged, patient, and genuinely kind alphas (and a beta!) who are honestly doing their best not to break her further. Big found family energy, big “we’ll wait for you to be ready” vibes, and you know I ate that up.

Ava’s trauma is written with a lot of care, and her slow steps toward trust and connection felt real, even if, yeah, some parts moved a little faster than I expected. There were moments, especially around her recovery and pregnancy reveal, where I wished we’d gotten a bit more breathing room to really sit with the emotions instead of fast-tracking the healing.

Also... naming the baby after one of her mate’s dead wife? I’m sorry, but that did not sit right with me. It felt weirdly heavy-handed for a character trying to find her own fresh start. I get the sentiment, but emotionally it just didn’t land for me the way it was probably meant to.

That said, the world is still bleak, the stakes are rising, and the rebellion against the Omega Creed is brewing, and I am so ready for the explosion.

If you're into:
✨ Broken but badass omegas
✨ Patient, nurturing packs that respect consent
✨ Slow, painful healing arcs with lots of softness
✨ Dark dystopian omegaverse worlds with actual rebellion brewing

Then Omega Lost is absolutely worth picking up, just know there might be a few emotional choices that make you side-eye your Kindle

Before I get into this, I want to note the trigger warnings listed with be included at the end of this review.

I loved this. Within the very first chapter, I was hooked. I had to mow Ava’s story, how she got here, and how she would get her well deserved happy ending. Her story is a hard one, full of pain and trauma, but that just makes the ending so much sweeter.

This book starts with Ava dealing with a lot of unexplained pain, leaving the audience to wonder what may be happening. Fast forward a few chapters, we meet our first love interest, Max. Max finds her in a hospital bed, five months pregnant, bound at her arms and legs, and extremely out of it. From there, the story really picks up speed

“Though she be little, she is fierce. This omega isn’t broken. Not completely.”
This quote really encompasses the story. It has romance, yes, but more so it is a story of healing from trauma, and fighting against an unjust government.

This book was an emotional rollercoaster. I cried, laughed, and felt joy alongside our character’s journey. I was literally sweating at the end, so nervous for how it would turn out. I had so much fun reading this, I’m so grateful to have received an ARC.

Trigger warning for sexual and physical abuse, torture, pregnancy, and birth trauma.

As omegaverses go this is a harsh world, but the stories are so good. This book is about an omega that is saved while pregnant with twins. Which is a huge deal. Since, in this world beta women for some reason cannot have children anymore and the omega’s somehow got blamed for it and so now the omega women are property of the government and all children they have are adopted off to beta parents.
Omega’s have zero rights. Animals have more rights and treated better than an Omegas.
So when one of the MMC sees this Omega in the hospital while he’s posing as a doctor see the injustice of what’s going on with her and knows he has to get her out of there. He risks himself and the secrets of his own pack to save her.
Normally, I’m not into pregnancy tropes, I actually hate them. But….. this isn’t about her pregnancy or a forced relationship or anything BS like that. He knows that this situation is totally unacceptable and has to save her or she’s dead.
It’s about the inhumane shit the Omega’s live with and deal with in the world and the trauma.
It’s about setting the world right again. I absolutely loved it. It’s not just about her pregnancy, which pregnancy tropes tend to do. Thank goodness.
I also listened to this book on audio. Troy Duran can read me the ingredients of laundry soap and I would melt. So yeah the narration by both narrators is well done! 😜

This is book two in the series, each one is a standalone and contains a different pack. This is Ava's book, she is the Omega that Harper mentioned at the Omega Compound, that she was trying to protect.

We have Ava who we see in book one that at the time was still at the compound but in this one, it's clear she has been to the heat nests and has been forced to have several heat cycles until she got pregnant, with twins. This one is even darker than the first so please check TW. A doctor (Max) is brought in to try and save the babies, which also means saving Ava much to her father's dismay (insert eye roll- I hope he gets shot then axe murdered).

Max alerts his pack to what he is doing...he was there to get medicine for Leah (have to read it to get it). They freak out but agree that the Omega needs help. Max finds out that they are planning on transferring Ava to her dad's property and immediately knows he has to help her escape. With the help of his pack, he is able to help her escape to his pack's property.

I enjoyed how sassy Ava was and I enjoyed the MMCs in this one honestly more than the first one. During this one, their universe is sort of on the precipice of a revolution and the OC is going down.

I wish Ava would have had access to therapy but this is also an alternate universe and everything. She was also pregnant with twins and I felt like it was inaccurate that she didn't have any further issues but again it's an alternate universe.

I plan to finish the series, this is a dark one but super good!

From the first story to this one! I am so absolutely grateful to reach such an amazing book! I love each and every second of it. This book returns for Ava’s story who we got to meet in the first book. The story, plot and characters were all amazing.

This story is a little bit darker than the first one. However for me, it did not take away from the book, it gave it more of a beautiful story to Ava finding her HEA. My heart would ache for Ava. This story brought out emotions in me, ALOT of emotions ranging from happy, to sad, crying to anger, to happiness lol. It was all over the place. Oh and not anger at the main characters but others lol.

I LOVED the men of Grey pack and the way they treated Ava melted my heart. They are exactly what she was needing after everything she has gone through.

Spice? Just the right amount. It didn’t overtake the story which I loved. I was able to thoroughly enjoy both. And the chemistry and connections? Utterly delicious and beautiful!

Overall, this story was AMAZING! I honestly couldn’t get enough and I’m so glad I read the book. This book is filled with adventure that I was able to dive in and not come back out. Highly recommend! Check TW.

Gave it 2 stars, but it would’ve been 3 stars if not for the back half.

And now that I think about it, I also don’t like that a lot of the relationships don’t feel earned. Nikolai went from grieving to jumping into this new relationship with only a little bit of introspection. And Ava goes from being so abused to completely open and willing to have sex. If you’re going to have your FMC be traumatized, you need to have her actually deal with the trauma too. Also we see Ava’s first time and bites with everyone except Max. What did Max do to get left out like that?

But really what made this into a 2 star was the court scene at the end. I can tell this author is from the UK because of some of the verbiage used in the book (eg. Telly and jumper instead of TV and sweater/hoodie). And it’s abundantly clear that she took massive liberties with how the Supreme Court and Congress work. I don’t understand why this book had to be set in the United States when there is absolutely zero detail identifying a particular geographic region or any other hint that it was specific to this country. All of these events could’ve happened in the UK too but I guess it made sense to the author that dystopian laws would only happen in the US? Weird.

This was a hard book to read, only in the sense that poor Ava had to go through SO MUCH in order to get to her happy ending.
This is the second book in Evelyn Flood's Omega War series, and focuses on Ava, who we briefly met in the first book.
Since then, she's had it really rough. As in REALLY rough.
She's saved by the Grey pack, who are hiding their own secrets and recovering from their own hurt, and together, they all find a new home.
Ava's horrid treatment happens off page, but is mentioned in detail so definitely read the trigger warnings before going into this book blindly.
In saying that, I think that Flood handled the topics beautifully and with great care. I loved how Ava was able to come into her own, find her feet and fight for what she believed in. Her relationship with Pack Grey was also beautiful to watch, with each of the pack members offering her a unique connection. I was happy to see characters from the first book in this series, and the promise of another to follow.
If you are a fan of omegavers, damsels in distress and protective men, then this is for you.

Intense ending

I think I loved Ava’s story even more than Harpers. Maybe it has to do with the pregnancy and how Pack Grey were ready to fill every roll in her life that she desperately needed.

It was a fast moving story line. Which is what you would expect from a stand alone. Obviously some things went quicker then they would have normally, like how fast the emotionally healed and was ready for physical affection. But again this is omegaverse so you have to remember this isn’t contemporary so you can rise that as a baseline.

Overall I really enjoyed seeing each guy fall in love with her and her with them. Her immediate acceptance of Nash was so true to her nature and I love that there was never any conflict there.

I’m excited to rest fallen Omega and see the continuation of what has been happening in the background of this world. The justice the omegas deserve and hopefully a better future.

“Though she be little, she is fierce. This omega isn’t broken. Not completely.”

Omega Lost is book two of The Omega Wars series of interconnected standalones. Even those these books can be read as standalones, I recommend reading them in order so you can better understand this unique world. I wasn’t expecting this book to be so emotional. I found myself crying a few different times throughout and felt deeply connected to these characters. Ava has had such a rough life and to see her end up with the sweet and protective men of Pack Grey was everything my heart needed! And little Nash stole the show a few times…he was just too cute!

This book has angst, heartbreak, secrets, suspense, revenge, and spice. It will hook you from the first page and you won’t be able to put it down until it’s finished! If you like omegaverse then this is a must read!

This book returns to the dystopian world where betas are in charge and omegas have no rights. This story revolves around Ava, whom we got a glimpse of in book 1.

Ava has been treated horrifically and been physically and mentally abused. Max is a doctor and from Pack Grey. Max finds Ava in hospital when she is pregnant with twins, and is determined to rescue her. Her pack allies with Harper’s pack to steal Ava away from her father. Ava is hunted by law enforcement and Pack Grey are determined to cherish her and keep her and the babies safe.

This is omegaverse so while there has been trauma there are also those confused feelings post trauma where she feels a pull to the pack and to become intimate with them.

I loved this story and how we got to see Harper again and how well she is cared for and treated by her pack.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review.

Ava is broken. Her freedom never existed and now not only has her life been stolen, so has her body. After being rescued from the clutches of her alpha father, and the Omega Compound, Ava is hidden away and kept safe by the Grey Pack. The members of the Grey pack also have pain that they're trying to heal, and the tiny Omega at the center of their world could be just the person to help them do that. Ava just has to believe. With help from some old friends, Ava and the Grey Pack take on the Omega Creed, fighting for a better life and a better world for all Omegas. But once the creed falls, who will be left standing?

I was so excited to read this one after being lucky enough to receive an ARC of the first book - Omega Found. I absolutely adored book one, and I'll admit, when I first started this one, I wasn't sure that it was going to be able to stack up against the first, I soon changed my mind though! I wasn't sure whether I'd be able to love these new characters even half as much as Harper and her Pack, but Ava and the Grey Pack soon found their place in my heart and I love them just as much.

This story is told through alternating points of view between Ava and the members of the Grey pack. When we first meet Ava, she's essentially chained to a bed, in an induced coma and pregnant. She is not the mission, but after Max stumbles upon her during a routine smash and grab for some medical supplies that the pack need, he can't leave her. I was instantly draw to Ava from the first moment we meet her through Max's eyes. Here is a woman, broken and shackled, forced to submit to the abhorrent laws of the Omega Creed. The reality of the situation that Ava was able survive made me anxious because I felt that there are women (and even men) who experience similar situations in the real world. Situations where they are not seen as people, but as things, as a means to an end. Where they have no say or control over anything, not even their own bodies. And that is terrifying. I felt Ava's terror, her will to die, because that would have to hurt less than the world she is allowed to exist in. My heart was in my throat and I was hoping against everything that she would not be left behind, I feared that she would not escape, even though we know she does, it says it in the blurb, and I think that this really gives testament to Flood's ability to write a nail biting scene that has you questioning "Could this good thing really happen?" even though you know that it does! This story continues that of the wider world that we first learn about in Omega Found, though I don't feel that you NEED to read book one to read this one, I do recommend it though because we do have cameos from the characters of Omega Found and I feel it's more impactful if you know about them and their story before this one. I loved that this instalment sees Omegas stepping out of the shadows, along with their packs in order to take on the Omega Creed and the inhumane nature of it.

The characters, as said above, I didn't think they'd be able to even hold a candle to Harper and Co. It took me a few chapters to really become endeared to them, and that's not because there's anything wrong with them at all. It's simply because Flood can write such real characters, with pain and flaws and such big personalities that I loved Harper and her men so much, I didn't think anyone else would come close. I was proven wrong after a few chapters because I fell so in love with Ava and her pack, each character with their own pain, flaws and challenges. With their own pasts and fears, their personalities and plights so large and three dimensional, it felt like I was sitting in the room with them. Flood is an author who can write characters that you would love to be friends with, and I love that. It really makes the story that much more impactful when there's characters in it that you can really get behind. Especially an alpha male who is a giant cinnamon roll to the woman in his life and gives off major touch her and die vibes.

My heart was in my throat on a few different occasions in this instalment and had me flipping pages so fast my eyes could barely keep up. I didn't want to put the book down because not only did I love the characters, I'm so invested in their world and the overarching story regarding the Omega Creed and those that abhor it. There's character growth and development that still leaves room for even more as the series continues, and the relationship dynamics, even though they could come across as insta-love, they don't and it just feels so organic and natural. There are some sensitive subjects dealt with in both this and book one, so I suggest definitely checking the trigger and content warnings for them. While they deal with some very heavy subject matter, it's always dealt with tactfully and not used for shock value. I also suggest reading the afterword, especially in this instalment, as Flood speaks about her own battles with some pretty horrific events that have happened in her life. I feel that Flood is so incredibly brave to essentially tell her story in this way and I applaud her for that bravery and for fighting and not giving up.

All in all, I am living for this series and I cannot wait to read the next one and see what happens to the world. I hope we get to revisit or at least see where Harper, Ava and their packs are should the book not center around them. I'm so invested in the characters that I need to see some of their future after their stories as well. If you like an Omegaverse book that has real characters and a gripping story line, give this series a go!

Sensational

I didn't think anything could be better than Omega Found, but Ava's story outshines it.

I don't think I have ever been as emotional reading a book as I was reading this. It is beautifully written, harrowing, cruel, heartbreakingly sad, and yet full of love and hope and gratitude.

Even though it is a standalone story you definitely need to read Omea Found first to understand the world they live in and in particular the Omega Creed and the horrors that are resulting from that.

I can't more highly recommend these books and this astonishing new writer. There are CWs and please do read them as there are some awful things happening in these books.

Absolutely beautiful Evelyn Flood, what a triumph of a story..... Simply sensational!

I loved that we were able to read Ava's story, after meeting her in Harper's, but wow did she go through a lot since then? Some truly awful stuff - which is unfortunately just how omegas in society are to be treated.
The pack Ava finds herself with is perfect for her, fighting for her when she can't fight for herself. Even after everything she has been through, Ava is so strong, wanting the best for those around her.
This is an emotional ride, as the group navigates uncertain times, both personally and in society, but you read with the hope that it will all work out in the end.
I liked seeing Harper and her pack, too. That was a little fun addition.
An enjoyable omegaverse story, I look forward to book 3!

Wonderfully Dark Omegaverse!!
Just wow! I thought Harper was amazing in Omega Found, but Ava is strength personified. The level of abuse that she survived and overcame in the book is dark but inspiring. This is not a sweet Omegaverse story, the dystopian world Ms Flood has created is a scary place for omegas. Ava has suffered the harshest treatment imaginable before she meets a pack that quickly falls in love with the amazing woman she is. The Grey pack is just so wonderful and have their own hurts to heal. Ava and her pack all get the second chance they greatly deserve. Oh and there’s a wonderful cameo from our favorite characters from Omega Found that left me speechless and gasping. Fun times. Please read trigger warnings.

3.5 stars - different, dark, but good rh omegaverse

I’ve been hesitant to pick this one up for the longest time, because I loved book 1 so much & wasn’t sure how this particular premise would go for me, but it turned out I was pulled into Omega Lost rather easily. The pack is kind, supportive, and understanding. Just the sweetest thing. The plot was good, but I must admit that later in the book I skimmed. Some of the family bonding seemed a little too seamless on the page—not that I expected major speed bumps but I think I’d have liked more page time of building the foundations there.

All that said, Omega Lost was good, maybe just not the exact book for me. Still, I flew through it and did grow so fond of these characters. And now I’m excited to pick up book 3 in the series!

Ehhhh....I struggled to get through this. The beginning is really intense and really shows the struggles Ava has gone through although you don't really get the full scope until the 2nd to last chapter. Afterwards, once she's with the pack, there really isn't a great deal happening. It's just about her learning to trust the pack and build those relationships. The attack while she was giving her statement seemed out of place. I expected the full attack of her fathers forces, but no - it was just a random guy.
At the end, even her father coming after her, I expected more forces, not just her alone. This story just fell flat for me. The spice was fine, the relationships built and grew and it all ended happily, but this was just a slow, painful read for me.

I couldn’t get into it

I tried but the entire time I felt like important things were missing or glossed over. I also didn’t like some of the character dynamics and the severity of the contradiction of a character’s personality.

I really struggled with Ava’s growth because it was so disjointed and we only got pieces of the growth then bam she plateaus and that’s it she is done and then there is the side characters. Bastien becomes kinda flat at some point and becomes a side character. Gonna be honest I don’t think even remember is they all bonded on the pages or if it was implied off pages.

Not a fan of the fact that beta women appear to be THE enemy. Don’t get me wrong Stone is Ava’s enemy but the true villains seem to be beta women. Disappointing

I cannot explain how many times I was reading with silent tears running down my face. More than I wasn't, that's for sure. Every passionate speech Ava gave had me in tears. Every recounting of what she went through internally and through dialogue, I was in tears. The entire giving birth and afterward scenes, absolutely bawling my eyes out. Serious ugly crying with sniffles red eyes.

That's when I know it is either an amazing book or I'm super hormonal. I think this time, it was actually both.

Nash was the cutest and bravest little character.

Stone f**king sucked!!!

The omega Creed can get wrecked.

And I'm gonna say it, I think Bastian was my favourite guy.
