Possession by Andrea Hagan
Paranormal romance.
Aubry is accidentally possessed by Damion in a seance gone wrong. They try numerous methods, Magic and contacts to “get him out” without success. Aubrey is also investigating what happens to a friend that disappeared.
Plenty of humorous situations including his aggressive driving. Plenty of teasing of the erotic nature but that was weird for me. What does she see in the mirror? Just herself. The grandmother was witty and the puns throughout we’re amusing.
Well written for a debut.

2.75. This was just ok ...not mind blowing to me. Kind of cute at times, but due to how it's written it's hard to tell who is speaking at times (Damion or Aubrey). I struggled to stay focused with it and didn't even care much about the reveal.

This is a great and funny witch/demon story. Loved the different take this author does with possession. Had me laughing at times with a snarky demon and witch banter. I will be reading the next in the series and must admit a new way of thinking of “self love” If you read this book you will know. I received this book as an ARC for my honest review.

“We are the company we keep.”
Well in this case, the company is a sexy-ass cambion who has somehow become trapped in Aubry's body. I mean, there has to be worst things to be trapped in your body, right? And this demon, is a tease ... just like this damn book. Ha ha! It finally got really hot at 80% ... but I am getting ahead of myself.
Aubry works in a magic store with her Aunt and grandmother. Her grandmother is an absolute hoot. She is goals. She is who I want to be when I am old. Aubry decides to help a family and lead a séance she probably shouldn't have. Next thing she knows, there's a drop dead gorgeous man in her head. And he can create physical "feeling" - you see where we going here?
Anyway other than her possession "problem" (I really use that term lightly), Aubry is haunted by the death of her best friend, so what ensues is a double agenda - how to get free of Damion, and who the heck killed her best friend. There are lots of sexy side kicks who try to help but could the answer from Aubry's past? You will need to read it to find out.
I enjoyed the ride - its generally feels like a bit of a crazy caper with a wild finale. The pace is a little low and slow, but the ending really ramps up. This is a cosy mystery with a sexy, smutty undertone (I mean, she literally has to touch herself AS Damion when it gets real spicy). Hagan did a great job of the romance line - I mean they are literally in one body ha ha! Honestly, just a fun read.

Possession is a hilarious paranormal romance of a witch named Aubrey that becomes accidentally possessed by a demon. Not just any demon, one with striking eyes and an ego to boot.
Caught up in trying to solve the murder of her best friend, a date that was more than she bargained for, and trying to get her sexy as sin demon our of her body, Aubrey uses humour and her tarot cards to navigate her path.
The characters are hilarious but also relatable. While most of us don’t have the ability to read tarot cards or summon other paranormal beings in a time of need, I could still relate to the characters and be sucked into their world.
I can’t wait for Obsession to be released and read more for Andrea!

This book follows Aubry still reeling from her best friends unsolved murder, trying to get back day to day normalcy. When one day she performs a seance for a family looking for their daughter and ends up sharing her body with a demon. Damion is downright sinful, all charm and confidence. They both have no clue how theyve ended up tethered together sharing Aubrhs body.
They embark on the journey to end this possession and solve Aubrys friends murder.
This book is fantastic, the chemistry between Aubry and Damion is so well done, there's alot of sexual tension, but also alot of humour and wit between them.
The other characters in this story standout though they're not our MFC and MMC they truly shine and feel apart of the story. I cannot gey enough of the family dynamic. This book really had me laughing out loud at times.
This story is magical, steamy but also has the thriller aspect from trying to solve all these mysteries. The book wraps up nicely, but don't be fooled there is more to come from Aubry and Damion.

This was a cute, fun, light hearted, laugh out loud paranormal/fantasy romance about a witch who accidentally gets possessed by an unwitting demon. Neither wanted it to happen but now they can’t get unstuck. Then again, who would want to get unstuck from a sexy, silver tongued devil?
I adored this novel. Damion, the demon, was a riot from the beginning. While he and Aubry’s predicament takes center stage the plot in the background was also very interesting and kept me guessing throughout. I honestly cannot wait until book two comes out this fall. I need more of Aubry and Damion.

Oh my gosh I absolutely loved this book!! It was full of mystery, laughs, sass, & so much more..
I freak’n loved Aubry & Damion so much their so freak’n great.. I love their squabbles & their characters.. i couldn’t get enough of this book.. I hated when I had to put it down to adult lol..

As I say each time, we all have different opinions so my review may not be the same as yours and that’s completely okay.
I mean...I mean...come on now...Are you going to be a person who judges the cover of this book and decides they don’t want to read it or are you going to be like me..
The person who is running on the cuteness between our characters and wishing—albeit dangerous—to find myself in a situation like this somehow?
I had the absolute pleasure of reading ”Possession” as an ARC and I want book 2.

This book was amazing, so much fun to read. Could not put it down.
Must read.....

Audry and Damion's back and forth banter was fun and entertaining, great fun relationship they had. It was great to meet these 2 characters and their friends, family and foes as well in this adventure.

May 19, 2022I loved it! In this time of mass shootings, war and suffering it is good to escape into some Magic. Of course there is some suffering if you have a demon possessing your body! But he's a handsome sexy demon so its all worth it. Kidnapping, murder and magic--all that you could ask for. Ive recommended it to my book club and I'm looking forward to some lively conversation

First, I’d like to thank the author for providing me with a copy of Possession so I could review it.
Aubry Brooks is a witch. Not the soul sucking, hat wearing, green faced evil kind of witch. She’s the kind of witch who reads tarot cards and bakes with her grandma. Together with her grandma and Aunt Callie, they run a metaphysical magic shop in Memphis.
Damion Blackmon is a devil just minding his own business, well sorta, he’s a lawyer for the supernatural with a very powerful father. One day, he felt a calling and smash,bhis first taste of possessing someone.
The dynamic between Aubry and Damion was light and sultry at the same time. Each time the story turned dark, it turned back into the light and had me rolling. The background characters had a purpose and helped drive the plot forward. The twist at the end was unexpected yet satisfying.
Overall this is a great book and I recommend it. Memphis Magic Book 2, Obsession, is due September 1st, 2022. I know I’ll be excited to read it!

If there is one genre I am picky about, it’s paranormal romance. Let’s face it, so many things can go wrong if it isn’t written well. Not only was Possession a well done paranormal romance, it was just well done period!
Aubry is your typical southern kitchen witch. She enjoys helping others and relies heavily on her tarot cards. I love this series. It’s only book one, but I’m hooked. I absolutely LOVE IT.
It’s an interesting premise having essentially two mysteries in one - a mortal one as well as a supernatural one.
Aubry is just your average ordinary kitchen witch working in her family’s metaphysical shop when an appointment for a séance turns her world upside down. Out of nowhere she finds herself possessed - and neither her or her demon trespasser can figure out how to end the possession. While working to evict the extra voice in her head, she meets an array of other supernatural beings as well as making friends with another human she meets in the worst way possible. Besides being possessed, Aubry also has her bestie on her mind. Maddie was murdered a year ago and it’s still unsolved. Aubry has plenty of guilt about this and she can’t let it go - even though the police have told her several times.

I really enjoyed this book, it was intriguing and it kept me snared the entire time. I was so invested in what was going to happen! For me, this book gave me KOTW vibes (which I loved) but in a more adult problem way. I actually did not speak to my husband for nearly 3 hours so that I could stay in this world with Aubry & Damion! I have already added the next book in this series to my Countdown clock because I already know that this is only going up from here!! The dialogue and banter between the FMC & MMC was so well written, I found myself giggling out loud.
And VIVIAN!? Oh god, I need more of Granny Viv. She gave me major Gran vibes for those of you who read the Emerald Lakes series & I. AM. HERE. FOR. IT!!!

I don’t usually read the fantasy genre but I’m so glad I read this one. I now know all sorts of stuff about angels, demons, witches etc. so don’t shy away from this book if it’s outside of your comfort zone or knowledge base.
However, if you’re not into spice TBR maybe skip this one because it’s definitely spicy. The 1st sexy scene had me like 🥵.
I could’ve easily finished this one in one sitting but couldn’t because….life. Seriously check this one out. It’s fast paced, witty and sexy.
Plus how gorgeous is that cover!?

This was such a fun and light hearted book. It has a little bit of everything! Murder mystery, witch’s, demons, angels, possession… a slow burn romance. I quickly got into this book and could not put it down. I highly recommend!

This book kept me in stitches as I witnessed the hilarity that is the banter between Aubry and Damion. Due to a botched seance he has “possessed” her.
Considering what he looks like, possession might not be a bad thing.
Between solving her friend’s death, his family and connections, and her quirky family, these two are never alone or without trouble.
Very steamy cozy mystery.

Aubry as a demon problem. She may or may not want to solve that issue. She and Damion enlist everyone and everything they can think trying in vain to solve the problem. Meanwhile, solving a murder gets filtered into the mix. The love the sarcastic humor throughout, and look forward to more from Aubry.

I had the pleasure of reading an ARC copy and Andrea had me hooked from page one.
Aubry is a likeable character who wants to find a normal average life, but can't let go of the mystery surrounding what happened to her best friend.
Damion is deliciously delightful.
I need a grandma like Vivian.
The judgemental cat is underrated and possibly my favorite familiar ever.

Holy hotness!!!! Damion and Aubrey are like magic together. They have this give and take going on that's adorable. Grandma Vivian is hysterical. Aunt Callie acts like the middle child always going for Mr Wrong. Gabe is a wolf in sheep's clothing. The storyline is phenomenal. The characters all fit perfectly together. I can't wait for the next book.

Loved this story for a few reasons. First off- I loved the puns that Aubry makes when she’s nervous! I also loved the creativity behind the demon world and how it all works AND how it goes into law and being lawyers. I also noticed and appreciated how much research went into the facts and details of the witchy things. Looking forward to the second book!!

This book was an amazing read. It moves along at a comfortable pace making for an enjoyable read. The characters are so real that you feel as though you know them and cannot help but live them. This book needs to be read.

I loved Aubry and Damion's story, she's a sassy witch and he's a hot as hell demon, together they make the perfect couple even if he is inside her lol. This book is filled with laughs and action it is a can't put down until it is over book.

This is a great story and written so well. I loved how she wrote Aubry and Damion's parts. The tension was just enough angsty and sexy for me. I can't wait for book two!
