I'm his now, and he's not going to be gentle with me.
When my brothers tried to arrange a marriage for me back in New York, I ran away to Boston. Making it on my own at eighteen wasn't easy, but for two years I managed to keep my freedom.
Until Gregor Romanov came looking for me.
I didn't know what a Russian mob boss wanted with me when he first barged into my apartment, but as he threw me over his shoulder and carried me into my bedroom I knew one thing for sure.
My days as a free woman are over.
Now he's taking off his belt to deal with my refusal to answer questions he didn't have any business asking in the first place, but it isn't just the sting of a spanking that is on my mind.
Almost 5 stars😁😁😁 It would be five stars if the author make it fair between the hero and the heroine. I don't like it when the hero have many woman liking him, even want to flirt with him and even one of his one night stand girl text him (just one time though). And the heroine doesn't get any of that. The heroine have ZERO men liking her or even try to flirt with her. No I don't like that at all. I want it to be fair between them, if you put a hero character that used to be manwhor3 then have the heroine character be good too even though she's a virgin but at least have her many guys liking her and wants her too. Not only the hero🙄🙄 So not fair at all. That's what made me give it only four stars and not five. Seriously I hope authors pay attention to that and made it fair between both characters 🙏🙏🙏 WOMAN DESERVE BETTER TOO YOU KNOW....
The heroine and hero meet for the first time at the family party because the heroine's brother wife is actually the hero's half sister (they have the same dad but different moms). They only talked for few minutes, nothing special. Then they separated because the heroine moved away from her family and disappear for two years, on her own with her trusted good best friend. The heroine suddenly meet the hero (well it's destiny for them) again after two years when the hero was having a meeting with a politician in the restaurant that the heroine's was working at. And here where's the story of them begin.....
I LOVE IT when the hero meet the heroine again at the time, he was unsure about his feelings but he did it anyway so he make sure to leave his business card for the heroine and then when the heroine didn't call, he search for her at her second job in the library. I love it when he did that! He doesn't know why he actually did it, but deep down he start to liked the heroine after seeing her again and want to try to help her because he heard she was gone for two years so it was a big mystery for him and he want to know from her why. Why she run away from her family and what she was doing all these years. He search for her again after the library, and when she ignores him again and didn't do what he told her to do, he went to her apartment. He spank her because she lied to him, after he spank her, he felt something.
“Spanking you made me hard, Hanna,” he explained it as though he were telling me the color of his damn shoes. “Watching your creamy skin turn red beneath my hand and how sweetly your ass bounced after each smack, it turned me on.”
And then both start this relationship. Both didn't actually say we're in a relationship though, but both have s*x constantly and the hero obviously for sure obsessed with the heroine.... He is sooo obsessed with her.
“I shouldn’t touch her. I shouldn’t even consider doing what I was doing, but still, I was doing it. I was making Hanna Kaczmarek mine.”
‼️‼️‼️TRIGGER: Violence, mafia, killing, spanking with belt, death, run away, drugs and alcohol.
‼️‼️‼️NO CHEATING
‼️‼️‼️BOTH are single when they first meet and after meeting again.
‼️‼️‼️IT HAS SEPARATION for two weeks i believe. Both never go to anyone else, both are loyal as fck.
It annoys me when the hero are so stupid when they got separated, the hero realize after weeks and then go searching for the heroine when he talked to his sister about her. Like you can't come sooner when you already know you are obsessed with her?! I hate when heroes do that. Too long to realize the sh*t they done. But better late than never i guess😆😆😆😆
“I’d find her right then, that moment and I’d make her listen. I’d sit her down and tell her and I’d demand she come home with me. No more playing around. She was mine. I’d told her once I’d end any one who got in my way of having her. I meant it. I wouldn’t let her slip through my fingers again.”
Also the heroine just easily accept his apology and idk but for me that was too easy. I mean, he did end it he made her go away. She text him but he didn't reply. So when she just easily okay with his sorry not even ask questions to be sure, I was like seriously woman????!!!!
‼️‼️‼️THE HEROINE IS A VIRGIN. The hero used to be a manwhor3 but not anymore of course after when he's with the heroine. Even before they have s3x.
The hero loves when he knows the heroine is a virgin.
“I knew damn well that knowing no one had ever touched her before would make me crave her all the more.”
The heroine thought her virginity meant nothing to him because of who he is but he make sure to tell her that it mean something to him and he loves it🥺🥺🥺
‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS POSSESSIVE PROTECTIVE ALPHA MALE FOR SURE. NOT OVER THE TOP POSSESSIVE THOUGH... THE HERO LOVES THE HEROINE SO MUCH AND OBSESSED WITH HER IN HIS OWN WAY.
“You aren’t on your own anymore. I will protect you, and I will help you, and I will always have your back. And every time you need me to pull your ass back in line, I will. Without remorse. Without mercy.” He touched my lips. “You’re mine now, Hanna, and I protect what’s mine with my very life.”
Also the hero is very private person at first to the heroine so sometimes it's annoying to really understand what's the deal with him😒
‼️‼️‼️VERY LITTLE JEALOUS SCENES FROM BOTH.
‼️‼️‼️THE HEROINE IS A SMART BEAUTIFUL SASSY WOMAN. SHE IS A TECH GENIUS... I love reading a smart woman like this one😍😍😍
‼️‼️‼️WHAT I DON'T LIKE ABOUT THE BOOK:
As you can read above, I don't like is that too. And what I don't like, is that the hero's ex one night stand woman comes to the restaurant when he was having a dinner date with the heroine. He ignores the woman and told her to go away of course, the woman didn't try anything crazy. But what I don't like, in the end the hero told the waitress in the restaurant that to put the woman's bill to his account. I NEVER IN MY LIFETIME reading a novel that the hero pays his ex one night stand woman her dinner while he was with the heroine in the restaurant or not. NEVER. So i was shock when I read that scene.
I don't like it when the hero and heroine didn't date already when they first meet at the family party. They have to date like two years later when they meet again. After the hero for sure he said he fcks other woman. I don't like that very much😂😂😂
‼️‼️‼️NO DRAMA WITH OM AND OW. THE ONLY DRAMA IS ABOUT THEMSELVES AND ABOUT THEIR ENEMIES.
‼️‼️‼️THE HERO ALWAYS SAYS TO THE HEROINE AND TO EVERYBODY THAT She is mine. You are mine. MINE. MINE. MINE 🥺🥺🥺❤️❤️❤️
‼️‼️‼️THE HERO AND HEROINE HAVE 15 YEARS AGE GAP. THE HERO IS 15 YEARS OLDER THAN THE HEROINE. THE HEROINE IS 20 YEARS OLD AND HE IS 35 YEARS OLD.
‼️‼️‼️THE SMUT SCENES.... Don't get me started with that because it's soooo freakin hot and romantic at the same time❤️❤️❤️ Seriously hot.
‼️‼️‼️LOCATION: Boston.
‼️‼️‼️The heroine's brothers and her one only niece from her brother's christian daughter is here too, so cute moments.
‼️‼️‼️IT HAS PUSHING AWAY FROM THE HEROINE AND HERO. BOTH OF THEM. BUT NOT TOO MUCH AND NOT TOO ANNOYING...
‼️‼️‼️HAPPY ENDING. Married, only that though.
‼️‼️‼️The chemistry between them is romantic but not enough, I don't know but for me its not enough😂😂😂 Especially the hero told the heroine he loved her in the end of the book and that sucks lol.
👉🏽👉🏽👉🏽Thank you so much for reading my review❤️❤️ For you who loves my review and follow it, THANK YOU SO MUCH. I did not get paid or be told to do a review on a book. I’m here just to write review about a book so i can remember it. Its my honest opinion😚 I didn’t know at first people will find me and follow me and trust me to be honest, I was surprised myself to look at the notifications from people who reach out to me😆 So everything i write down here on a review is based on my personal opinion and based on my true writing. I DID NOT COPY SOMEONE’S REVIEW OR WRITING SKILL because at first when i was using this app for one year i didn’t know how to scroll down on a book and see the reviews from others😂😅🤣 I know, silly me but hey I finally learned my lesson 😛😛😛 Thats why when people assume i copy someone’s review i was like what? Because at first i didn’t know how to use this app properly and i didn’t know how to open someone’s review because for a year i never follow someone or add friends or someone😂😂😂🤣 (I’m laughing so hard) 🤪 AND I NEVER COPY SOMEONE’S REVIEW EVER. IF I WRITE SOMETHING WRONG OR DOESN’T MAKE SENSE PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND BE NICE OKAY. 👈🏽👈🏽👈🏽✋🏽✋🏽
I have a disclaimer down bellow if you have negative thoughts about my review😙😙😙
🌐🌐🌐➡️↘️⬇️➡️This is my own personal thoughts and opinion about the book so if thats not sit right with you or you feel I’m not being fair blablabla, please know that everybody in this world have their own different things that they like and don’t like. It may not be the same thing with you but thats okay because i am my own person and you cannot control me or tell me what to do. For example; i put ketchup (tomato sauce) on my fried chicken. You think that’s disgusting? For me its not and i’ve been eating it like that for many many years. You tell me to put another sauce and see if i like that better? I already did many many times in years but i still like the way i like it. It’s called differences between me and you and billions people in this world😊 be open minded😙 I respect people’s opinions about my opinions but in the end of the day if i say I don’t like it or i do like it, its up to me and its on me. And in the end of the day i always liked and show my respect to books and people’s opinions on books whenever that book is good or not good in my opinion 😊 Respect people’s opinions guys😙😙 I don’t want to write this down because its not really my thing to do it. To like address something like this when obviously i know the people who’s been reading my reviews many times and all the time, they are smart enough to understand and respect other people’s opinions no matter what their opinions on book or their point of view 😙😙 am i right? 💕 also there are people even though i already write “this book is different because i have my own taste of book” those people still comment my taste is this and that when HELLO… everybody have their own thoughts on books and what they want to read… why i read it then? I read it and give it a review because i have to read a book to give it a review… why not read the description book to understand before I’m going to read it? Hello just in case you haven’t notice, description books can be tricky because they write this amazing things about a book but turns out the story is so toxic. Maybe for me its toxic but not for you? YES HELLO THATS WHY US HUMAN BEING HAVE OUR DIFFERENCES, WHAT I LIKE IT DOESN’T MEAN YOU WILL LIKE IT AND EITHER WAY TOO. why i still write the review then if i just don’t like a book? Because I CAN and i want to, you cannot tell me what to do and not what to do🤪 if you still wants to be negative and be karens about my review on book after all of what i just write, i will never acknowledge you and simply ignore you because its not that hard🙏 I won’t respond to negativity comments🙏🏼🙏🏼 DON’T ASK ME AGAIN ABOUT WHY NOT RESPONDING TO YOUR NEGATIVE COMMENTS BECAUSE I ALREADY SAY IT HERE AND I WON’T BE EXPLAINING AGAIN BECAUSE WE’RE NOT CHILDREN SO ITS NOT HARD FOR YOU AN ADULT TO UNDERSTAND😌😌 YES MY REVIEW IS LONG BUT YOU READ IT ANYWAY AND ITS FINE ACTUALLY I CAN WRITE AS LONG AS I LIKE😎 YES MY GRAMMAR IS BAD SOMETIMES AND MAYBE ALL THE TIME BUT LUCKILY MANY PEOPLE CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT I’M SAYING🤪 ⬅️↖️↕️⬅️↩️⤴️
This is the third book in the Reluctant Brides series and features Hanna and Gregor. Hanna is Christian and Lukas' sister and she disappears to live her own life away from the restrictions of mafia life and arranged marriages. However, Gregor Romanov discovers her and decides she is his for the taking.
Not much of a complex plot or deep character development. There is plenty of steam, though I found myself cringing through some of it. This was a good read to pass some time.
Measha Stone you have done it again, you have given your readers a spectacular story, filled with remarkable characters and so many steamy moments I was melting. Hanna is on a mission to become her own person, finding her place in the world without her brothers influence and demands. When it becomes too much, and they are pushing her to marry someone she does not want to, she runs. Two years on the run, searching for clues as to what happened to her parents. Gregor enters, a strong Alpha man, and he finds her working in a cafe. He should call her brothers and tell them he has found her, but for some reason he hesitates. The rest of this wonderful story is filled with secrets and lies, and Gregor tries to help her. This story was filled with mafia rules and results, love that finds us no matter how hard we try to deny it, and hope that in the end love will conquer all.
This is the third in the the Kaczmarek family DD/Mafia series. Here, we get Hanna, younger sister to the two previous MMC's. Trying to discover who killed her parents, she inadvertently brings danger to herself. Can Gregor, her sister-in-law's brother, protect her? While the MC's relationship is fully developed here, they, important secondary characters, and certain lines of action began in previous books so this may not entirely work as a standalone.
I had very mixed feelings about this book and almost DNF'ed early on. I will say that if you like this sub-genre, you may enjoy it since in addition to all the sex and beatings du jour, there were some interesting mafia machinations and character growth. Because I'm not a fan of "dark," I appreciated that this was ultimately more consensual than the others; that Gregor never actually harmed Hanna; and that Hanna had a lot more agency than previous MFCs -- indeed, if it weren't for the strong, resourceful, spirited MFC, I would have stopped reading. While I did enjoy the ending (Gregor's ), the first third left such a bad taste in my mouth that it seriously affected my rating.
I have two major critiques; the most important is Gregor's initial treatment of Hanna. He assumes authority over her that he doesn't have or deserve, beating her cruelly for not doing what he says even though he has absolutely no right to demand anything of her -- even by the standards of this world. At this point, she wasn't in danger; she isn't his relation or his responsibility; she's not doing anything wrong; she's not hurting anyone; she's of legal age and had every right to leave her family when they were trying to force her into an unwanted marriage; she's kept in touch with them so they know she's all right; and she's self-supporting. Everyone kept calling her a brat, a little girl who didn't know what she wanted, but all I saw was a hard-working young woman who clearly knew her own mind. There's absolutely no justification for what Gregor did to her and his insistence that she enjoyed it rang hollow since we, the reader, didn't see that at all. My second complaint is that Christian and Lukas were total tools and pretty poor excuses for alpha males, but this wasn't their book.
3 stars. As a fan of self-reflexivity, I loved the nod to "indie authors" and "the romance section." Roman and Billie will get the next book, which will probably have some Age Play in it.
Note: Since as of February 4, few of the ARCies self-identify, let me do it for them. Any review written before the publication date is an ARC review: these people have gotten free books and haven't self-disclosed their conflict of interest -- hugely unethical on their part, but then the ARC program is completely corrupt.
So I needed a brainless palate cleanser after a big book hangover and this did it. This book is what it claims to be, dark mafia, dubious consent, smut. I don’t really know how to rate this as it was like many other of the genre, nothing original, no character development or real plot but i don’t think these books are supposed to be big on those. Anyway, I can’t rate it higher for the above reasons as well as the choppy writing style and weird dialogue (no one speaks that way). But this is a quick read as you don’t get invested in the story or characters or anything, you just read for the dub con, the spankings and the butt sex.
Hanna has been sheltered and hidden by her brothers for years, and now that she is 18, they are planning to marry her off to another family for an alliance. What her brothers don't know is that she isn't planning on waiting around. Hanna wants to live her own life, a normal life, and that doesn't involve anything they want from her, so she runs.
Two years later, Gregor happens to have a glimpse of Hanna, now going by Charlotte. It takes him a minute, but he remembers where he's seen her, and he's determined to make sure that she is safe, for a number of reasons. But, Hanna isn't interested, and she goes to hide, which makes him just have to find her.
I like how strong and determined Hanna was. She wasn't going to let anyone just run her over. She had goals and wants, and she was going to do everything she could to make sure that she got those met. I think that Gregor wasn't ready for her and I think that he also admires the gumption she has.
If you looking for the same plot line as in every single other mafia story line then this is the one.
Arrogant male dominates female - is mean to her - sets rules for her - expects submission and in this case will beat her into it - I’ll take care of everything for you from now one - virgin - mine forever - needs constant supervision -
2 stars because it’s not the worst I’ve ever read.
Tropes : mafia romance, J/P H, runaway h, age gap (15), forced proximity Ending : HEA (married) Triggers : ☠️ of loved ones, violence Spice : 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 Angst : 🔥🔥🔥/5 OM/OW drama : none Celibate while separated: no (H) Intimacy details: virgin h, oral, slight anal, condom then no condom (h on BC pills), rough sex, hair pulling, spanking Standalone/Series : part of an interconnected series
Hero : Gregor Romanov (32/35) Heroine: Hanna Kaczmarek/Romanov (18/20)
The sex was too sudden. One minute they were practically stranger the next he was spanking her then after that they had sex. No build up so it just threw me off.
The drama was okay, nothing wort talking about. Hanna was stubborn but thankfully not annoying kind of way. Their love confession was meh, could be improved tbh.
The ending was lackluster, hoping for them having a kid or 2 but overall an okay read to pass time.

This is the 3rd book in the Reluctant Brides series featuring Gregor and Hanna's sexy story. Hanna has been away at boarding school and on a visit home to her Polish mafia family she finds out that her brother's are intending to use her for a business alliance. They plan to marry her off to an older man she's never met when she finishes high school in a few weeks. When she returns to finish the last few weeks of school she runs and disappears for a few years. Gregor is on the East Coast to run meetings for his uncle who's the head of the Russian Mafia family he's associated with. He can't believe his eyes when he sees Hanna working there under a fake name. When things start going wrong all of a sudden for Hanna Gregor steps in and helps her and her roommate. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this steamy story to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I had been waiting to see how Hanna’s story would go after the little cliffhanger from book 2 and I will admit I wasn’t disappointed or expecting what I read and I loved it… Hanna was tired of being under her brothers thumb or locked away in a distant school so when a chance to escape it came I; she took it with both hands and disappeared to make a new life for herself as well as find out the real reason for her parents murder…but when she comes across her sister in laws brother Gregor, who steps in to save her from a past family drama… I loved the older man/younger woman jibes, suspense and the thrill of danger and the super steamy scenes that fog up my glasses and I hope that we may have a probable next book with Billie and Roman (Please Measha, Pretty Please)
Once again, Ms. Stone has delivered a well-executed mafia-themed story that showcased the vulnerability of both characters. Still, I have mixed emotions and found the over-the-top punishment scenes challenging. They were way too harsh and brutal, but this did not stop me from enjoying this dark and compelling love story.
I admired how strong, feisty, and determined to live independently Hanna was but at what cost. She knew she lived in a male-dominated society, but when her brothers decided her future for her, the reality was overwhelming giving her the courage to flee.
Gregor took things to a higher level when protecting Hanna. He was always on guard for danger, punishing her for disobeying him. He remained aloof until Hanna wormed her way into his heart. She made him work hard to earn back her trust. He was an alpha male with a strong dominant streak.
This is a dark, raw love story that portrays a shadowy criminal underworld. Expect explicit sex and punishment scenes from this well written story.
Hanna's brothers have arranged a marriage for her. The man is old and is to benefit the family business. Hanna isn't having any of it so at the age of 18 she runs away and avoids discovery for 2 years, then, by chance, Gregor discovers her and they go through a push-pull relationship as they each find a connection to the other that can't be denied. As usual with any Measha Stone story, it's hot, the sexual part just burns up the sheets and punishments abound. They will find their way to a HEA but the path is exciting and filled with angst and sizzling sex as they find their way with each other.
Sexy read! If you like your men grumpy, brooding and possessive and you women fearless and determined then you will love this story! With Measha Stones usual flair for writting great characters and storys that suck you in from the first word, this story lives up to her usual sexy, gritty high standards. I loved it!
Buckle up this is a wild ride, suspense, dangerous man, alpha personified, possessive, oh, so gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a deliciously dark Mafia story . Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! Bad boy….check Bod boy’s crazy brother/friend…check Bad boy’s Kryptonie…check ….check and check By the time you’ve figured out who is who and what is what, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter! Can’t say I didn’t warn you. This is the third book in this series each one can be read as a standalone but why when you can read an amazing series but this one is Hanna who has dealt with more pain them most considering she is still very young, the claim is both her parents were murdered of course she doesn’t have much info. but wants to find out the truth because her gut tells her they weren’t just murdered, and she is running from a marriage her brothers have set up for her right after high school graduation, so she has a very small window to get away. Fast forward two years she has learned to live on her own while investigating her parent’s death which puts her on the radar of those responsible for their death. While on the run she is noticed by her brother’s wife’s brother who hasn’t been around the family. Gregor sexy as all get out brother-in-law technically yep that word technically is in play here, surprised to be bumping into Hanna who is there working under a different identity right around the time she needs him, and he isn’t going to allow anything or anyone to harm her seeing he is part of Russian mob. The attraction is instant and insanely intense between them no matter how hard she fights it because she tried so hard to live her life on her terms, free of her family, and do not want to be a part of another family who wants to totally control her, but Gregor proves to be a little different and the banter between them is something else. She learns to listen to him because he has proven he can and will keep her safe but he also shows her the love she has missed most of her life, each punishment he shows her his love for her and the one time she puts herself in danger he loses it a little out of fear of losing her and it becomes real to them both just how much they mean to each other but is it enough, can he protect her from her brothers, will them being together start a war between the Polish and the Russians, and will the path they are traveling lead them to happiness?

This is the 3rd book in the Dark Mafia Romance (Reluctant Brides) series. Each is a stand-alone in the same world. This story was very good.
In berief, the h, ran away from a marriage her brothers were trying to arrange for her after her high school graduation in a few weeks. While she's been gone, she's been trying to investigate her parents death which she never believed was an accident. After being in hiding and on the move for 2 years she's accidently spotted by her sister-in-law's estranged half brother. In the meantime, information she's finally managed to uncover about her parents accident brings bad men after her.
I loved the characters and how their romance develops. I loved his protectiveness and her fiestiness. The added danger just keeps things interesting. The world building and the conflict development were excellent. I don't feel like I missed anything by not having read the first two in the series.
The book ad warns that the story includes spankings and rough, intense sexual intercourse. )The entire series leans to domestic discipline.) I can't speak to the first two as I haven't yet read them, but be forewarned, the last two of three spanking scenes in this book include the use of a belt. The last is particularly brutal because she disobeyed and left his condo and went to her apartment without any protection leaving herself expose to the men who were after her and had just tossed her apartment. You know he was angry about being disobeyed (his request wasn't unreasonable), but by this point you also get that it was his fear for her and what could have happened that led to the more severe discipline. If this isn't your cup of tea, don't read it only to rate it poorly because you disapproved of domestic discipline or it makes you uncomfortable. Otherwise, read and enjoy! 4.5 stars
Veiled Treasure is the third book in the ‘Reluctant Brides’ series and tells the story of Gregor Romanov and Hanna Kaczmarek. When Hanna is told by her brother Christian that she is to have an arranged marriage with another Mafia family in order to create an alliance, she runs away and goes into hiding. Fast forward two years and Gregor, her sister-in-law’s half brother, sees her in Boston. Curious, he finds out what she has been doing since her disappearance and realises she has put herself in danger with the Petrov crime family who are responsible for her parents deaths. Gregor forces her to live with him under his protection.
This book is very well written and the plot is a fast paced, extreme age gap, enemies to lovers dark romance. The chemistry between Gregor and Hanna is scorching hot with plenty of hot and spicy sexy scenes that makes it a very easy to read page turner. Gregor is the typical hot, possessive, dark and domineering alpha male but he has met his match in Hanna who is one strong, feisty and sassy female.
Overall, a thrilling read that captivated me from the first page to the last. Can’t wait to read further instalments in this series. Highly recommended 5 star read!
I received an ARC of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I’ve read a few books from this author and some I loved and others were ok. This one fell kinda in between. I loved Gregor, but Hanna really got on my nerves. I got tired of her constant questioning Gregor in serious moments, and I found her constant arguing with him childish. Her friend Billie had more sense than Hanna did and she wasn’t even from the same world as Hanna and Gregor, yet she knew when to shut up and start packing and not ask questions. I was also disappointed that when it came time for Hanna’s brothers and Gregor to confront Sasha, there was no big confrontation or anger. Everything was settled too easily. This was the family responsible for Hanna and her brother’s parent’s death, and I felt like how everything was handled was disappointing. Throughout the book it was suggested how dangerous they were and how if they caught Hanna or her friend the bad things they would do, so I was disappointed at how easily agreeable everyone was. This wasn’t a bad book, I just felt it lacked in certain areas.
Veiled Treasure is the third book in the Reluctant Brides series. It completely stands alone, but the previous books deal with family matters. Hanna has dreams of living her own life, not being controlled, having love, and finding answers. After two years of normalcy, Gregor bumps into her around the same time that danger crashes into her world. Will Hanna find everything she’s looking for, or will she just be another pawn in the games mafia families play?
Oh wow, this book had me hooked right from the very beginning! I literally could not put this book down and was late to an appointment because I didn’t want to stop reading, haha! Hanna and Gregor have this amazing and intense connection full of fire and steam and strong wills, and I loved every second of their clashing, of their chemistry, and of their love. Hanna was such a strong character, knowing exactly what she wanted in life, and refused to take crap from anyone. She had a lot of passion and had a big heart for her friends and family, but she refused to bend her will for matters less than love. Gregor was just as strong willed, just as powerful and almost overwhelming, and I really loved him. He comes across a little controlling and overbearing, but it truly is for best interests and to keep Hanna safe, even from herself. I loved them together! I thought they really complimented each other’s personality and their ups, downs, pain, and eventually love took me on this wild ride that I didn’t want to end! I am loving this series and I am loving this world that Ms. Stone has created!
This story is about Hanna and Gregor. Hanna is from a Polish mafia family and since she's been away at school she happens to be visiting home and isn't happy to hear what her brothers have planned for her when she graduates from High School. She graduates and instead of going home she vanishes for the next two years. Gregor who's in the Russian mafia, is conducting business for his Uncle and happens to spot Hanna who's working under a different name. Gregor happens to be in the right place when things go wrong for Hanna and he saves her and her roommate. Loved the storyline and the relationship between Hanna and Gregor is steamy.

First off let me say that I kind of dived into book 3 first but I didn’t feel like I was lost or get confused. Gregor and Hanna’s story was phenomenal. The author does an amazing job of writing characters that you’ll love and their connection is sizzling. Now I want to go back and read the first 2 books and hoping, really hoping, that we’ll see more from Reluctant Brides.
This book was amazing! With all the reads I do, hard to think up a new twist, but, Measha Stone did it. To my own detriment, lol,I read the book in one evening. Going to sleep at 430 am to wake up for work is not advisable.... the book was worth it...
Hunted, taken, disciplined!! Gregor has Hannah where he wants her, when he wants her. Secrets, punishments, danger, desire, intense sexual scenes and fantastic characters!!! This mafia story delivers!!!
Finally, we get Hanna's story and find out just why she's always been kept away from the family! This is the third book in the Reluctant Brides series, and I recommend reading the books in order just so you can appreciate the circumstances that lead to Hanna's actions. Overall, this was an enjoyable and steamy addition to the series. Be warned it does have some dark elements that not everyone will enjoy; it is a mafia romance with some darker themes.
This is the 3rd book in the Reluctant Bride series but it can be read as a standalone. Hannah is the sister of a Christian, who is the head of her mafia family. He decides to arrange a marriage for her and so she runs. She goes to Boston and starts new life with a new name. What will happen when her past show back up and now she is in danger and so is her roommate. Gregor new it was Hannah as soon as he saw her. Will he keep her safe and claim her? Fast-paced read with loads of sizzling scenes, plenty of drama and action. I liked it.
As always, an excellent read. I finished Gregor and Hanna's story in one sitting, and thoroughly enjoyed it. If you're wanting to read this and haven't read the first two books in the series, I highly suggest hitting them up first, as each book is just as captivating.
Where can I start? Hannah Kaczmarek is the youngest sibling and after her parents death, she was raised by her brothers Christian and Lukas . when she became too much for the brothers, they sent her to boarding school where she acted up. She returns home and her brother Christian wants to force her to marry the son of a rival family to create an allegiance which Hannah doesn't want to be part off. She packs up and leaves without a trace for two years, when she is recognized by Gregor Romanov a member of a rival family who will help in her quest to find what really happened to her parents? However, her sleuthing will put her in danger and Gregor will do everything in his power to protect her from harm. No spoilers, but this story is heartbreaking, will keep you on the edge but with characters that have intense scorching chemistry that you will have no other choice than to read this one again in case you missed something in this AMAZING story. Can this taciturn intense man open up to a future with Hannah? I can't wait to see what's in store for us with other members of this crazy group of people. I volunteered to review this story.
I recd this as an ARC and let me tell you it's a must read!!! Measha has done it again..here we meet Gregor and Hannah. Hannah who's parents were killed in a so called accident which she always was suspicious of. Knowing that her family was part of the mafia. Her brothers Christian and Lukas who now run the " family business " had sent her away to boarding school in N.H. but while she's home for the christening of her niece who's sister in law just happens to have a 1/2 sister to Gregor who she meets agsin at the christening Christian who decided that Hannah would marry into another mafia family to strengthen the bond she decided to take off instead..while on the run she settles into Boston under a new name and works 2 reg. Jobs 1 is at a dinner where guess who just happens to be in there doing business and recognize her...and here is where I leave you guessing what happens next..being its an ARC I'm not spoiling this book ,but please read this one and im dying to see what you all think of this book to..Will def be purchasing minute it's released.
Veiled Treasure by Measha Stone Gregor and Hanna is brimming with full on chemistry and so much heat. You’ll love the banter and thrills this book bring on.
