Reread this in less than a day (about 4 hours) after finding out the second book of the series has been published. I’m excited to see this author grow and cannot wait to read the second when it is delivered.

Fresh and Original

What a great book!

Filled with fun, intriguing characters and a new twist on magic. The attention to detail and the variety of characters is amazing. The peak into some of the realms is a tease; and I can’t wait to get to know more about these characters and the gates/realms they protect.

Lastly, I love how the next book is going to be written by another gate keeper and I can’t wait to read it!!!!!!!!

I don't know how to accurately rate this book. As of right now, I think it's sitting around a 4.5 out of 5! I really did enjoy this story and these characters. But let me give you a little backstory. This book, was written by a small business owner, and a very creative one at that! Wren Havyn is the owner of the gatekeepers shop on tiktok, and she sells these really fun and unique pieces of jewelry and general collectibles! So from what I've learned so far, Wren the author is also the main character in this book. In her world she is one of 12 gatekeepers of other realms, and she travels across all of these realms and brings back these pieces to sell in her shop! Isn't that one of the most fun and creative retail ideas you have ever heard? So reading this book, was almost like reading her journal of all of her adventures in both this world and the others! I absolutely love a good portal fantasy, and this story definitely gave off Wayward Children vibes! It was so vibrant and colourful and it was filled to the brim with all of these loveable characters! The only reason this isn't a five star is because sometimes the writing felt a bit clunky to me. However, I feel so bad faulting her for that because the narrative she is spinning is so creative and different! I'm definitely hooked though, I absolutely plan on reading all 12 of these novellas! Gate 1:Fantasy was only 181 pages. The first book is free on Kindle unlimited and $16.00 on her website. Please go check out her shop on tiktok! I am dying to discuss this book with other people!

I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!

I’ve been following the journey on tiktok for a while now and I fell in love with it, so obviously I had to get the book.

The book is amazing! It’s fast paced, easy to read writing style and everything is just incredible about this book. It made me want to read it non stop. The characters are loveable and the plot is mind blowing.

I absolutely cannot wait until the next book comes out because I’ll definitely buy it!

Be aware, it does have an open ending as it’s an ongoing story. If you don’t like such endings, this might not be a book for you. I’d still recommend you’d give it a shot though.

I heard about this book through the author’s TikTok and was intrigued by their concept, so I ordered it from their store.
The storyline is interesting and I do want to see where it leads, however, the writing when it comes to the romance arch comes off a bit clumsy and juvenile at times, so there were a few moments I cringed.
As I said though, I do want to continue with the series and am curious to see how the author’s writing improves and/or changes with the next books, especially since they’ll come from the other gatekeepers’ perspectives.

Reading this book felt like a breese, because it's such a comforting world to just dive into. It's written really nicely and I love all the creative thinking and imagination that went in writing this story. Also the whole concept of 'wren' actually having a shop in the real world makes everything even cooler.
And lastly I love all the quotes from well known movies in the conversations between Grayson and Wren.

The next book will be written from launch’s pov i’m so exited about that!!
I can’t wait for the next one to be finished. 💙

I honestly want to hate this book but i'll admit the story grew on me. Not sure about the characters on the other hand nor the love story going on..

I love this book. It was easy to read and not very intimidating especially if you’re just getting into reading or maybe struggle with it. And it’s also awesome that you can watch some of her TikTok’s about the book where she has a more in-depth explanations as well as character paintings. This was the first book that I have read in seven years and it sparked my love for reading again. I love all of the characters I love the story and I cannot wait for the next book!

The concept is so unique and it's really exciting to dive into this new world. I like how the characters are introduced and it feels like we are learning with Wren as she goes out into her realm and it is truly a magical read.
