interesting Cinderella retelling

I thought this was a unique retelling of Cinderella. A girl with super powers falling for a guy that has super powers too. But for reasons she doesn’t understand he doesn’t seem to return her feelings. He wants to just be friends. Although she knows the star football player isn’t in her league. But she could have sworn at times they had a sweet connection.
Her life is resembling more and more like Cinderella’s. She has the evil stepmother, spoiled step sister, no other family. But wait… she also has a fairy godmother. Maybe she has a chance to restore some of what she felt was lost.

The twist with Cinderella's story was awesome. I adore the prophecy mixed in with powers mixed in with normal every day people. Gabbie was completely blindsided and didn't want to accept herself and who she was. Watching her struggle and then blossom was great. I'm curious to see how this series will play out with the prophecies and other girls with powers.
