Control. Obsession. Alpha.

Mateo’s soulmate may be out there, but Mateo has no intention of finding him. Being bound to Mateo would be a punishment. He doesn’t have the charm or patience of his pack mates and he refuses to let fate force a person to be with him. As the mission to save the world continues, his once small pack is growing and Mateo can see there is no place for him and his disdain. The day was always coming when Mateo would say goodbye to his pack brothers and he’s put it off long enough. It’s time he did everyone a favor and disappear.

Bruno learned as a child that family didn’t mean forever. Not when every time he falls asleep, he becomes a danger to everyone around him. With a body that has more padding than muscle, he looks harmless. But beneath his curvy exterior lurks a monster that doesn’t care who it hurts. Bruno lives separate from the world, avoiding anything that might make him lose control. Until he meets Mateo accosting a vending machine in the middle of the night. The man is assertive and hotheaded. And, for some insane reason, decides Bruno’s protection is his responsibility.

Bruno is exactly the type of man Mateo should stay far away from. He’s gentle, sweet, and in trouble. He’d also be a good liar if Mateo couldn’t hear his heart patter each time Bruno tries to tell Mateo he’s fine. He isn’t, but he also won’t tell Mateo what’s wrong. Too bad for him, Mateo is stubborn, and he’s not leaving Bruno’s side until he finds out.

But Bruno isn’t the only one with secrets. He has no idea Mateo is a wolf shifter or that shifters exist. Ignorance is bliss—and safety—except, when Mateo’s interest becomes a full-blown obsession, keeping his hands to himself is not just impossible, but unacceptable. He wants to do more than touch Bruno’s body, he wants to claim him. But first, he’ll have to convince Bruno he’s powerful enough to face the monster lurking in Bruno’s nightmares.

Wrath is the third book in the Wolves of Resurrection Road series. It is an action-packed, unrestrained romance into a world of angels, demons, mystery, and mpreg like you’ve never seen before. For maximum enjoyment, this series should be read in order.

Another good edition to the series, though I have to say, Mateo annoyed the fuck out of me for most of the book. I realize he's grumpy and brittle and rough. But I grew tired of him talking that way to Bruno. Bruno was such a sweetheart. He should have smacked the shit out of Mateo for snapping at him like he did. He does get better, but by then I was over his behavior.

Bruno and Mateo are both so damaged, they've been all kinds of horrible stuff in their lives, and they both are sure that that means that no one is going to ever want to be with them, but then they find each other.

That's one of the things that I like best about this series and the world that Kiki Burrelli has created. All the guys in this series have some profound hurt or damage that they are trying to handle, but when they find their loved one, they slot into each other's broken spaces, and it's all better. They accept each other and all the parts that don't work well.

I really like the fact that they find a good use for the hell hound in this one and make him part of the family.

Mateo and Bruno are two lost souls in this world Kiki Burrelli has built. Both are convinced for perfectly good reasons that they don't belong with other people or with their pack. When they meet and they feel the connection of mates, they must learn to trust each other with their complete selves in order to forge the bond they are fated to haveI felt so sorry for both of these characters in the beginning and it was wonderful to see them find each other.

There isn't a single book written by this author that is not just phenomenal!!!

The way the characters are written feels like they are alive and breathing beside me, it is so easy to climb into the heads of them and become them.

The story ARC the way it moves and flows, and the world building that is created throughout the series.

**********Contains Spoilers**********

Man, Kiki has done it again. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The chemistry between Badger aka Mateo was completely off the charts. Mateo doesn’t want anything to do with the Archangel’s messages, he doesn’t think he’s a soul guardian that’s lived multiple lives nor does he want a soul mate, as he’s lost his family and the last thing his dad said to him and his mum was to protect each other and not even 24 hours his mum died protecting him. He has so much guilt because of her death even though he was just a child. He’s been training ever since to make sure he’s at his peak as he never wants that to happen again. He’s very angry (no one deserves his anger) as he doesn’t really want anyone to get close to him, he even keeps his pack mates Mongoose and Abel at a distance and he considers them his brothers.

Bruno has been living in constant fear of his nightmares, he has to keep himself chained every night otherwise he’ll fight to the death. He has no idea that his nightmares are actually him reliving his past lives. He came back to California for the first time in years for his father’s funeral, which was a risk as when he was only a teenager he hurt his friend who was completely freaked out and ran away and wasn’t paying attention and ended up being killed after being hit by a car. His parents sent him away to live with his Grandfather in New Mexico. He blames himself for his friends death and his friends brother Joachim still blames him. As he’s waiting for the bus back to Tumbleweed he meets Mateo who keeps him company. Mateo is instantly attracted and intrigued by Bruno but he falls asleep on him and when he wakes up he’s gone. Luckily he finds out where the bus that Bruno took was headed and plans to head there but then he gets a call from Camel telling him that they’re under attack and they need help. He’s angry with Mongoose as he had to help Camel who was bl*eding heavily and Mongoose was protecting his cherub. He knows that they deserve his anger but still.

When the pack get a message from the angels saying that they need to head to New Mexico he jumps at the chance as that’s where Bruno is. Mateo arrives just in time to help Bruno from being hurt any further by three men. He knows that Bruno isn’t being truthful about something but he knows he needs to protect him, he just doesn’t realise that he’s walked straight into the angels plans. Man, Bruno is a complete and utter bada*se when he’s fighting while he’s asleep. I definitely think Ford is right and that his brother Fulton is up to something to either help tip the scales in their favour or find answers in Hell to save both Jake and his and Claus’s baby who happens to be part demon. I really don’t think he’d betray Camel or his brother like that considering he’d not long ago saved his life. I’m really looking forward to reading Camel and Fulton’s book next and I loved the sneak peak at the end of this book. I’d definitely recommend this book, series and author to everyone.

Mateo is Badger an alpha wolf shifter and a guardian. He has lived many lives as a guardian fighting against demons and evil. He has a destined mate, a cherub who he is expected to find and mate and together they will continue their fight. Mateo wants nothing more of this life. He never wants to find his mate and put his life in danger. He knows he is angry and distrustful and no one should be stuck with him. Now that his long time friends are finding their mates and starting a family, he knows it is time to leave. He is taking off on his own when he stops at a bus stop to hit the vending machines. When the machine doesn't give him his snack, he starts to take his anger out on it. He is interrupted by Bruno who gets him his snack. The two talk and Mateo feels compelled to hang out with Bruno and protect him until he boards the bus. Bruno is so calm and relaxing that Mateo falls asleep deeply, the first time in awhile. Mateo wakes to find Bruno gone and he wants to follow but his friends are calling for help. Mateo goes and does his duty but still misses Bruno. When someone needs to go to Bruno's home state, Mateo volunteers. He just has a gut feeling that Bruno needs him.

Bruno looks like a calm, sweet omega who couldn't hurt anyone. That is true when he is awake, but when he sleeps what he thinks off as his monster comes out. When he was a child, he hurt a friend at a sleepover and his parents sent him to the desert to live with his grandfather. Bruno has learned not to have weapons in the house and to sleep chained up. When he heard of his father's death, he snuck back home to say goodbye. Then he took the bus home when he met Mateo at a stop. When he arrives back at the desert he finds out he wasn't as sneaky as he thought. Some wolves were after him to get revenge. On his second run-in with them Mateo shows up and protects him. Bruno is thankful for the help but is afraid that he will hurt Mateo so he keeps pushing him away. Mateo won't go and is even calling him mate.

I was surprised when the next book in the Wolves of Resurrection Road series was going to be Badgers aka Mateo. I know I wasn't the only one who saw vibes between Camel and Fulton in book 2 and I guess I just expected them to be next. That was fine with me though, because I love myself a grumpy and gruff MC and Mateo puts the GRUMP in Grumpy.

I liked how Mateo didn't really change when he met his mate Bruno. He was still his usual rough around the edges self, but his actions spoke louder than his words. Mateo's love language was doing things to take care of Bruno and I was so glad when Bruno acknowledged that about the man. He may not have flowery words to offer Bruno, but Bruno never doubted he was cared for and cherished once their relationship got going.

We are getting closer to the culmination of the series arc. Three Demon Kings down, with the big one left to go. We still have Jake's pregnancy to worry about. And on top of that we have a missing Fulton. I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series and what is going to happen when Camel catches up with him. Based on the little snippet we get at the end of this one, it ain't gonna be pretty!

Okay, I am not gonna lie. Matteo is an asshole, like a major one. I realize he has issues that he needs to work through but he needs to learn to control the wrath a little….snicker. His pack doesn’t deserve his anger and honesty, neither does he. Once he starts to realize that, he becomes a better pack member, better person, and a mate that Bruno deserves. Bruno has lived in fear, never understanding what lurks in his dreams. It makes him angry when he realizes Matteo has answers and has been running from them. These two are more alike than they think and are a perfect balance for each other. I was glad to see Matteo settle over the course of this book and I can’t wait to see what happens with Fulton and Camel. And I still have a large soft spot for Jake and Claus. I want to see everything turn out right…I know it will…I just don’t have a lot of patience! I do love this whole universe of books starting with the Wolves of Walker County.

Wrath takes off immediately following Lust. Badger/Mateo doesn’t really believe he’s a soul guardian and leaves the pack. He sees Bruno waiting for the bus and cannot help himself but must stop and talk to him. Bruno lives in constant fear, he’s afraid to fall asleep. He’s worried the monster will come out and hurt someone. Bruno is called back to the Cathedral, but feels the pull to go to Bruno. Bruno is in trouble and Mateo will do anything including sacrificing his own life to safe Bruno. This was hot and steamy, so full of action, and so freakin good!! The story kept me engaged, hooked me from the beginning and didn’t let go. Overall, a fantastic read, I cannot wait for the next one! The story was really well written, the pacing flowed smoothly, highly recommend. I am voluntarily leaving a review form an advanced copy that I received. Wrath is the third book in this series and it's really amazing.
I love that despite the fact that Mateo is somewhat rough and does not want a stable relationship when the situation arose, we were able to discover another side of him. Protective and loyal to whom he has his heart and will not go out of his way to protect him.
I loved the character of Bruno, how he could be so sweet, aware of what's going on with him, and take action on it, even if it hurts him.
The relationship between Mateo and Bruno is fantastic, I love how it progresses, where Mateo makes Bruno see that he is perfect just the way he is, at the same time that Bruno makes things clear to Mateo and makes him realize that there are people who care about him and there is nothing wrong with that.
There are secrets and revelations that leave you with your mouth open and you don't see it coming.
Mythology is used as always, I love it and can't wait to read the next book.

Wrath by author Kiki Burrelli is the third book in the Wolves of Resurrection Road series. I have not read these books in order, and I was not lost at all. This story is told in dual POV and it works really well for this story.

Mateo/ biker name Badger has a rage that builds up inside him. He fights with the pack Alpha a lot. Right when we meet him, he is taking on a vending machine and losing. Lucky for him that is how he meets a cute little human named Bruno.

Bruno is scared but intrigued when he meets Mateo. He reads MM novels. Sensitive about his weight. A little bit of a germaphobe. He is an artist who sells paintings for a living.

I loved these two together. Mateo needs Bruno so he has the peace in his soul he has never had and Bruno needs the protection and love Mateo has to offer. I loved this story. There is a ton of action and love. I cannot wait to read more from this series in the future.

Mateo and Bruno story was exhilarating, packed with danger and adrenaline, and with so much love and acceptance that changes one perspective on life and learns to love and accept itself.
It was a highly emotional read with numerous ups and downs that will take your breath away constantly.
More secrets and mysteries are brought to light, new possibilities arises and new hope blooms. The characters has to unite to defeat the demon, and a new addition join the family.
Mateo and Bruno relationship blooms beautifully and needs nurturing, love and support from friends and found family. The way they connect and begin to trust in each other is sweet and heart warming.
It was an amazing read and can't wait to read what happens next.

Mateo will not let his pack be harmed because of him. One day he decides to leave them and that brings him to Bruno. Little do they know but each man hides a secret of their own.

I am enjoying this series and each book is another great addition to it. Mateo and Bruno are good together and I loved watching the two men work towards their happy ever after. As their relationship grows the men find so much more than just attraction to each other. I was quickly immersed in this story. The characters are strong, and the plot only thickens and gets more exciting in each book of this series. I enjoyed seeing not only the building of Mateo and Bruno’s lives together but also the pack and the connection that they all have.

A Cherub a Guardian and a Hellound walk into a Cathedral...

What a stunning fourth book in the Wolves of Resurrection Road! I love this series. This segment reunites all my old friends: the Walkers, the Wolves of Royal Paynes, the cherubs and their guardians. A new demon king will be fought, an old enemy shows up, and a fated pair will find each other. Come. Join Mateo and Bruno as they untangle lies, solve a mystery, fight demon spawn and find family. There is a happily for now, as the story continues. You are gonna love this book! I can't wait for the next one!

Who doesn't love a book where two broken MCs find their happily ever after and the love they so desperately deserve. Mateo is definitely a jerk, he'll be the first to admit it, but with Bruno, he's the sweetest, the most protective, and absolutely the alpha Bruno needs. Bruno has been through a lot, is battling a lot of demons, and is not what you'd expect after meeting the previous cherubs but he's absolutely perfect for Mateo. There were a lot of big reveals, twists and turns, and so much going on that you can tell this series is ramping up to an epic finale. Sad to know it's all almost at an end, but SO excited for Camel's story.

An mm book about trust

Wrath is the third book in this series based on the seven deadly sins. You don’t need to have read the other books to enjoy this one. I hadn’t read them but I will definitely be going back to start at the beginning. Alas there are too many books and not enough time. The story between the two main characters who have problems with trust is a great romance and is very spicy, but the overall story is fascinating which is why I will be reading books 1 & 2. I don’t want to give anything away besides which I need to catch up on the story so I will just say that if you like mm romance with urban fantasy I recommend this book.

OH, this was goood! Bruno and Mateo/Badger, each drag a heavy weight of baggage behind them. Mateo seems to have anger issues. He was going to battle with the metal machine holding his corn nuts hostage. Bruno, was a curvy man, very self conscious and defensive about it. Mateo felt instant appreciation for Bruno. Bruno was afraid of his gifts. He lived a life of fear. Badger was protective of Bruno. Will Bruno relax and accept Badger? Will Badger defeat the demon, Gula? Does Bruno, let go of his fears? Good story. Lots going on. Excellent adventure. Well done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is one of the best series I’ve ever read.

Mateo unexpectedly finds his mate and it’s pretty much a wild rollercoaster ride from then on.

Bruno was sweet and had his own secrets. The poor guy was a wreck and desperately needed someone to love and protect him.

Bruno and Mateo were beautiful together and needed each other a lot more than either realised.

Absolutely loved this instalment. Looking forward to the next one.

This book took a while to get going, and I was still a little confused about Bruno’s “monster” by the end. Bruno’s and Mateo’s “voices” were too similar to easily be able to tell them apart, so I had to keep checking the beginning of the chapter or reading super carefully to see which one’s name was used. The only thing I really enjoyed about this book was the relationships and protectiveness of not only Mateo but the hellhound and the whole Cathedral pack toward Bruno, because he really needed that in his life.
So…is Fulton Camel’s cherub or not?!?

ARC received from GRR for an honest review.

Mateo was a grumpy, angry mess that took out his issues on the pack and Bruno. It was beginning to get on my nerves by the time he started acting like a decent person. When he did start to change it was a nice change. Bruno was a sweetheart. I really liked him. The story did move a little fast and I felt like it lost something in the telling for this. The ending of the book was a mess. It was a ok continuation of the series and I'm looking forward to the next book.

Bruno is a sweetheart, he would rather hurt himself than another person. Due to a mistake in his past hes been persecuted, and never really protected.

Badger didnt want his own cherub, but when he meets Bruno alone waiting on a bus, the two find eachother comfortable. Hes so relaxed he lets his guard down.

Obviously they keep secrets, but by doing so, they make the other think they are interested.
I loved Brunos cinnection with the hellhound

I absolutely love this series. Badger and Bruno are complicated characters who need each other because each can't see their own worth. There were a lot of big reveals, twists and turns, and so much going on that it keeps you engaged from beginning to end. I can't wait to read the next book in this series. I love reading Kiki's books they always keep you on the edge of your seat. I received an ARC of this book for my honest review. I highly recommend Kiki's books.

more interesting

Big bad alpha with a secret soft side (very well hidden) meets his match, a plus sized guy with his own issues.

Badger comes with lots of baggage, and the author has to put in overtime to make the guy likeable, which makes him deeper and more realistic that most other alphas we meet.
Pace was a bit off, with slow build then race to conclusion in the last few chapters: Demon kings read like RPG bosses, with specific strategies needed to beat them.

It’s that time for Badger. While he is a very angry guy, he has a good heart. He is not in any hurry to find his Cherub but Fate puts him in his way anyway. While demons are lurking and archangels working, Bruno is alone and suffering until Badger comes along. I enjoy this series, it has chaos and suspense, while mates are coming together and fighting together. It’s exciting! Another awesome story for Kiki Burrelli.

Accepting the Monster Within.

MM, Shifter, MPREG, Paranormal, Thriller, Suspense, Romance. Easy to read page-turner with great characters, an enthralling read with twists and turns throughout. Ideally needs to be read in series order for maximum enjoyment as although each book features a different couple there is a a main plot that follows on throughout the series. I thoroughly enjoyed reading their story. Guaranteed HEA.

exciting

I loved how much Badger and Bruno fit each other. I was also glad to see Bruno didn’t have a five second pregnancy like Micah.

The hellhound needs a name. I liked him as a character before but now I love him. And I’m dying to see what happens with Camel. I still feel like Fulton must be his cherub. And what about Jake? I can’t wait for the next book.

Badger is a hard one to understand. With something that hits him out of the blue and when he laugh at mates dropping all around him. What will happen when that chemistry knock him flat with his mate. There is more mystery going on the everyone thought at the cathedral. Will the ancient one finally answer some question. This was action pack and nail biting at time with the suspense

Good Read👍

The last chapters of this book made this book worth reading!! The storyline was slow and confusing at the beginning of the story but it got better and better as the book proceeded! Cramming all the characters from the previous storylines was hard going as I tried to remember which story they were in🤔😓 but loved the ending anyway! Can't wait for the next book!
