Rate this book
A Wall Street Journal bestseller. The happy life Faith McMann knew as a wife, mother, and teacher was destroyed when vicious criminals murdered her husband, kidnapped her children, and left her for dead. After paralyzing grief, fear, and despair, there was nothing left for her to feel…except fury. But striking a staggering blow against a brutal ring of human traffickers was just the beginning of her uphill battle. Though her daughter remains missing and her son is lost in the wilderness, Faith’s relentless efforts have reunited some children with their families. They’ve also made her and the rest of her family the targets of a sadistic crime boss. But Faith has learned plenty about survival in the lawless underworld she’s storming. And she’s forged an unbreakable bond with two no-holds-barred allies in the war against evil. As they dodge assassins and take down predators, Faith travels deeper into the heart of darkness, determined to rescue her children at any cost.

Okay read.

T. R. Reagan writes good stories, but too many things are happening. Takes it away from the plot. Human trafficking of boys and girls, and one families struggle to find their missing children. To understand all the characters and what's going on you must read the first book. That's if you're really interested reading this series. Hopefully next book has a good ending. These books comes with audio and they were free with my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

The second book in this series. The first was so great and a five star read for me. I was disappointed in this next book, felt it lacked in a few areas. A bit gutted to be honest as I was expecting it to go to even higher levels than the first book.

I highly recommend still the first book and don't believe this was a bad read at all, just in comparison it paled (for me). I felt the plot here was a bit sloppy and all over the place instead of having that tightness it needed, some of the sub-plots I think detracted from what should have been a suspenseful follow-up.

I do adore Faith McCann's character. Her children are still missing, abducted and in the hands of the very unsavoury and Faith and her friends are doing all they can to track them down and bring them home. Its SUCH A GOOD PLOT but this second book lacked in execution, thrills, something, anything. Oh I don't know. Underwhelming but not horrid. It looks like book three will be out and I will absolutely be reading it to see where the author takes the story and I hope, I really hope that more of that oomph and suspense is in book three. 3 stars from me for Outrage.

Second in this series, you're really missing out if you haven't read Book 1... FURIOUS... This is definitely one of those series you really need to read in order.

In Furious, Faith McMann loses her husband to murder, and then the same men who killed her husband take her two children.

She's made it her mission in life to find her children ... dead or alive.

In Outrage, her friends Rage and Beast join to help her in her search. Following one thin thread after the other, and working her way through pedophiles and other unsavory characters, this is the story of Hudson, her nine-year-old son.

There are several plots that dovetail back and forth. Rage has a terminal illness and her time is growing short. All she wants is one look at the son she gave up for adoption 2 years ago. Faith's family is in a turmoil. Her brother's wife and 2 children want to leave, his wife is terrified that someone might come after them. Faith's father is recovering from heart problems. Her sister is pregnant. And the detective in charge of her case has a daughter that's being terribly abused by her husband.

OUTRAGE has some severe emotional scenes that will stay with you long after the book is read.

Many thanks to the author / Thomas & Mercer / NetGalley who provided a digital copy in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.

Outrage is the second installation of the Faith McMann Trilogy. It was a pretty good audio that kept me entertained and second guessing myself.

Faith, boy does her family go through an emotional roller coaster. Not only is her life in danger, but it's her entire family now. Also, her two faithful friends that will do anything and everything in their power to help find her two missing kids.

Man, Hudson and Lara (I think that's how you spell her name - not quite sure since I'm listening to the audios), well either way. These kids are smart. Heck Hudson is basically outdoors man for kids because of what he went through. Then there's Lara who's kind of wasting time by reading books. Hoping and praying that she can some either get away from these bad guys or that her mother will become a total badass and find her.

I'm sure that day will come.. like the next book. I'm so freaking pumped to dive into that audio because I need Lara found!! I need to know who has her. I have so many freaking questions and not enough information to solve it!!

Then there's that ending, hot damn. I almost cried because of what happened and I can only hope that will life everyone's spirit in her family. They needed this and now they need to find her darling baby girl.

This is the second book in the Faith McCann series which focuses on human trafficking. The same characters are back and I grew to like them even more. Faith is still looking for her children who were taken and now the bad guys are seeing her as a real threat and coming after her, her family and friends. This book is very hard to put down and has some utterly heartbreaking moments in it. If you like to have a good cry and get really angry, drop everything else and get into this.
Make sure you read Fury first though!

Outrage starts off where Furious, the first book in the Faith McMann trilogy, ended. These really should be read in order.
Faith's children, Hudson and Lara, have been kidnapped and are believed to be in the hands of a human trafficking ring. With the aid of her family as well as Beast and Rage, two people Faith met at an anger management class, Faith is trying everything to find her children and bring them back home.
Outrage was non-stop heart pounding action and emotion from start to finish. I loved the dynamics between Faith and her family and their extended group. Beast, his dad Vinnie, and Rage are wonderful characters that add that extra little something to this trilogy. The story is told from multiple perspectives including the children's and some of the criminals' involved in the trafficking. There was a lot going on! I finished it in no time at all because the plot kept moving at breakneck speed and simply gripped you, but it did have a couple of flaws that stopped me from giving this 5 stars.
My main issue: I just couldn't picture Hudson as a nine-year-old boy. His thoughts, language, and behavior always made me think of a much older teenager. As a result, I didn't actually feel worried about him at all.
For Wrath, the final book, I'm hoping that Ms. Ragan is not going to veer off too much into over-the-top, suspension-of-disbelief drama with some of the story lines. In particular, Miranda's exploits and the background of one of the crime bosses and his relationship with his mother came a bit close to some eye-rolling moments for me in this installment.
Overall though, an entertaining and enjoyable thrill ride, but the first book had more of an impact on me.
I received an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

A good second installment in the trilogy. Faith McMann continues to fight to find her children along with the help of a motley bunch. This was a quick, page-turning read.

I received an ARC from NetGalley!

Outrage is the second book in the trilogy about human trafficking. I had just finished Furious, the first book, when I started this one. Ragan spent little time rehashing the events of the first book and quickly started advancing the plot.

Again, the fierce love of mother, Faith, for her children shines through. She and her family and friends demonstrate extraordinary courage and determination to find the still missing children, Lara and Hudson.

But again, the young children are too brave, too knowledgeable, and too plucky. They are each living separate nightmares, but their focus on survival is the same. This focus might be more believable if there had been anything in their past to justify it; there is not.

Despite this, readers will be invested in this story

This story picked up where the first book ended. Faith is determined to take down the child trafficking network. She finds an unlikely ally in a group of women who are fighting the same scourge through the system. These are lawyers, advocates and social workers etc. They are ready to take the fight to the next level and assist with research and intelligence.

Faith also comes across Miranda who herself was a victim but managed to escape. Miranda has sworn revenge on the brutal old man who she was sold to for a night of torture and abuse. As the fight against the traffickers escalates the criminals are not taking the challenge lying down. They are fighting back, threatening and harming Faith's band of allies. This book fleshes out the original story a lot more and the third book will give us the climax.

At the end of book one, Faith has scored against the traffickers that took her kids by shutting down a house full of kids before they were sold. However, her kids were still missing. Hudson managed to run away from the house he was being kept in but is lost in the woods, and Lara was moved from the house just before Faith and her friends raided it. In this book, the traffickers fight back by attacking the rest of Faith's family and by eliminating all the leads that Faith is following. The hospital is practically full of characters by the end of the book.

On the one hand, this book makes me feel uncomfortable. The despicable acts of men against children are described in detail, and I also have a hard time understanding the women characters in the management of the trafficking ring. These are things that I don't necessarily want images of in my head; however, Faith's story is inspiring. She's just a mom, a teacher....yet, she becomes a vigilante taking on a dangerous crime ring, all to get her kids back. Most people would just hope the cops will come through, but she is determined and she has a great group of friends who support her. We get a little more of Rage's story in this installment and it was nice to see her get a happy moment despite her issues.

Only one more book to go. I have to read it to see if Faith succeeds in getting her daughter back before it is too late. I just have to find time to fit it in.

One's suffering helps to reveal one's true self. Without suffering, it is difficult to see the true glory of a rising sun or imagine the struggles of a single blade of grass as it pushed its way through the soil.

If you had to use one word to review and draw others- it would be INTENSE. The intensity is real when dealing with Human trafficking and the suffering it brings to many who are unseen and unheard. This book is a voice! Read it and know what is going on.

Faith McMann's family is suffering- the death of her husband, the kidnapping of her two children, and her drive to bring them back home and the forces that hurt her family to justice. But how can she? With so many consumers of Human Trafficking, is it possible. Faith will be not be deterred and neither will her family that includes her parents and siblings as they join forces to find her children and to stop the sufferings of others. It is without fanfare and the criminals will stop at nothing to protect their own interest. Will her family survive? How much will they take? How do you draw the courage to go on? With great character development and a plot that won't quit, you will not be able to put this down.

This is written so well that you have to question yourself. Would you be able to see a victim of human trafficking or would you look away to avoid conflict? It does not shy away from the brutality and the horrific of evil that human trafficking represents. Being aware might save a life!

What is nice is that this can be stand alone but I would recommend to read the first one as well. You empathize so much more with Faith and her children as they too are fighting to survive.

Can't wait for the 3rd.

Wow. I think I like this book even better than the first book. The story moved along quiet well and never dragged. Fast-paced, heart pumping, movie like quality book. Kind of surprised the ending was so abrupt. Definitely will be reading the 3rd book.

This was a cliffhanger..

I knew as good as the first book was this would be better. I started it late last night and just finished it. It was sooo great I couldn’t believe it. So, I know the last book will be the best. I’m telling you, this group of simple family members were just awesome. And the family friends, Rage, Beast and Little Vinnie were phenomenal. Together they kicked all kinds of ass, and I can’t wait to read the last book.

There was no sex but the F-bomb was used 39 times.

As to the narration: Kate Rudd! I can never get enough of her narration. Her voices and emotions when she reads are the very best.

I enjoyed this book but I should have read the first book in the trilogy. There is little reference to previous events in book 2 .I loved the characters, Faith is one strong lady. I dont even know where to begin with this review. If you have not read the first book I highly suggest reading it before getting into this book.

**Some spoilers**
I absolutely love Faith and her growing friendships with Beast, his dad and Rage. It really goes to show that friends can become just as close and important to you than family is. We see the support between the friends throughout the entire book, never letting up.

Her family is thrown a bunch of curves when some start to challenge her will to find her children with the safety of her family members who are home. We see how she has to come to terms with herself and question everything that she has been doing. Thankfully with the support of her parents and friends Faith doesnt stop looking for her children.

Speaking of looking for children, Rage's son is being found through one of Jana's friends. Now that Rage has finally met him, will this be the end for her?

Great continuation of this trilogy!

This series just gets better and better. It's a great continuation of this trilogy. This book follows Faith through the awful world of human trafficking as she tries to find her children. The book is a great next part of the story and I can't wait to read on. In some ways it is better than the first book or maybe I got used to the graphic description of this seedy world of human trafficking.

In "Outrage," the second of the Faith McMann Trilogy by T.R. Ragan, the protagonist must deal with the fallout from her battle with her nemesis, the organization that kidnapped her kids. Faith enlisted the aid of Beast and Rage, a couple people she met at court-ordered anger management class. Their names reflect their feelings, kind of a stab at therapy they class uses. Both understand Faith's feelings toward those who stole her kids and prove invaluable on her nonstop push to uncover the clues that will lead her to wherever her children have been stashed. The first book ends with Faith and her band of vigilantes storming a farmhouse where a criminal enterprise holds girls and rents them out to high-paying johns looking for underage girls to exploit. Faith's daughter is being groomed to be sold because she's a virgin. She's not even in her teens. A woman, a former mistress of the crime boss running the show, insists the girls call her mother. She runs the house with an iron fist, and abuse is regularly handed out. There is little chance they will be discovered. However, Faith's group, which includes her family, is relentless. But Faith misses finding her daughter. Mother is arrested, and she alone knows where the girl is. Faith gets increasingly distraught. Nothing she's done has worked. Ragan provides insight into her antagonists' motivations, providing chapters devoted to their perspectives. To them, the flesh trade is simply a means to an end. Young girls are a commodity to be exploited. They detest the fact that Faith has remained in the public eye through the media. They try at every chance to kill her. But Beast is a bounty hunter, and Rage, his ailing sidekick, knows all about the seedier side of life. The group enlists the aid of an escaped sex slave, Miranda. Faith treats her like a daughter, something Miranda has some trouble accepting. Ragan doesn't cloak any of her story line in panacea. She prefers the cold reality. Faith's family comes apart. Her decisions endanger everybody. She continues to go a little nuts. Yet, she retains her resolve to continue the hunt, despite the many roadblocks. She's tough. And that's probably what I liked best about this series. She doesn't want to be a victim. She's done that. She's tired of it. And she will get those kids. No matter what the odds say.

Once again I was granted access to another great read from NetGalley in exchange for my review.

The first book in this trilogy, Furious, was such an intense ride through all sorts of emotions. With that cliffhanger at the end I was itching for the second one to come out and super excited when I was able to start reading it. Outrage started right where Furious left off so you're brought right back into the heart pounding, nail biting feeling while reading.

Faith McMann went through so much in the first book and still ended up without her kids. Now she continues to fight and search for them with every breath in her. I once again like the multi person point of view in this book. We get a grasp of each person's feelings and what is going on with them in relation to everything around them. Through the main plot in the book of Faith trying to find her children there are several other little branches of stories, some mentioned in the previous book that are now being explored a little more. Faith's friend, Rage, who is dying really wants to find her son she gave up for adoption. The detective has a little going on here too with his daughter and son in law. These other little stories are good, but the whole time you're reading those you're wondering what's going to happen next for Faith and her children.

I enjoyed this book, if you can say that about such a tough subject matter. It's kind of eye opening to know that these things as human trafficking are out there. In the end, not as much of a cliffhanger on this one but you're still left with that "Oh no! That's the end!" feeling. Can't wait for the conclusion of this trilogy to come out. 4.5 stars

Thank you again to NetGalley as well as publishers Thomas & Mercer for this opportunity. And to T.R. Ragan for such amazing storytelling.

Faith McMann - a mother tiger trying to protect her cubs - and don't get in her way!

To get the very most from this book, you owe it to yourself to read the first book in the series FURIOUS. I had read FURIOUS previously but I went back and re-read it before starting OUTRAGE, this second book in the Faith McMann series, and I'm glad that I did.

Faith is a mother who has been through hell. She saw her husband, who she loved dearly, killed in front of her and almost dies herself. And her two young children are kidnapped at the same time. This all happened in the first book.

This book starts out right where book one ended and Faith, along with the rest of her family and a motley crew of dangerous, dear friends are still trying to move heaven and earth to locate her children.

This series takes place around Sacramento, California - a huge hub where human trafficking takes place. And this story doesn't pull any punches so be forewarned. It is terrifying, gut-wrenching and terribly hard to read. But it's a story that needs to be told. This book might be fiction but it's based on fact.

I think the scariest thing to me about this series is that Faith is just a normal woman. She was an elementary school teacher, lived a simple life and loved her family. If this could happen to her, it could happen to any of us.

WRATH, the third and final book in the trilogy, is due out on March 14, 2017.

I am so glad that I received this book from Thomas & Mercer through Net Galley in exchange for my unbiased review.

This is a really good book for a second installment in a series, but I didn't feel that it had the same amazing zest as the first book. While I liked the growth of the main character and the story line itself, I felt like the writing could have been a bit ore fluent in some places and that some of the dialogue felt a little false.

Still, this is a mental endurance race that will keep you wondering what is going to happen next and make you want to turn the page. It is easy to relate to and sympathise with Faith, and that made it easy for me to keep reading this book. I think any parent that reads this will be rooting for justice to be served.

There are some tough, brutal parts of this book that the reader must be able to digest, but let it never be said that the author wasn't realistic--clearly she did her research before writing this book. In the end, I thought this was a great way to escape the reality of daily life and delve into something that captivated my mind.

This review is based on a complementary copy from the publisher, provided through Netgalley. All opinions are my own.

Great Book and narration by Kate Rudd (audible review)

This is an excellent Trilogy. You do have to read them all in order as they are cliffhangers until the last book. But wow what a great story!

The story line and plot are amazing. There are bad guys, mystery, determination, great dialogue and fantastic writing! I don't want to give any spoilers away but trust me this is a great captivating listen/read and I highly recommend it!

Love Furious, Rage and Beast!

As for the narration it is amazing. Kate Rudd does a superb job. The men sound like men and everyone get's their own distinct voice. She reads with emotion and has a great reading voice.

This was also a free read free listen. Excellent deal. The first book was free read and free listen too with KU subscription

In the second instalment of TR Ragan's Faith McMann trilogy we see Faith continue the search for her children who were snatched from their home while their father was savagely killed in front of Faith.

The reasons behind this become clearer but this doesn't take away the fact that it's so far-fetched and unrealistic that I found it a bit of a chore to read with the only intention of finishing it so that I could plough into the next book on my ever-growing TBR pile.

Having said that, I may be tempted to read the third book as I'm intrigued about what happens to the kids (and Rage).

Thanks to Thomas & Mercer for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Wow! This series is edge-of-your-seat good! About sex trafficking and a mother whose young children were stolen for that reason. The mother is after revenge and to get her children back. I will be delving into the 3d book of the series next. T.R. Ragan has become a favorite author of mine!
