Great guide to fun projects that don't rely on inkle or rigid heddle looms. Embroidery hoops, metal rings, cardboard, all kinds of ideas. There are tons of helpful pictures for instruction. This looks like great projects for even little ones.
I accessed a digital review copy of this book from the publisher through Edelweiss. This book was useful and informative. I have tried circular weaning before, without success. The instructions and information showed where I previously went wrong and how to improve. It was easy to understand the instructions. There were plenty of photographs and clear instructions. The projects that were included were easier and ones that I would want to make. The base instructions make it so that the reader can easily adapt them to their own projects.
The first weaving book I’ve checked out that contained examples I’m motivated to try. There are large color sequence photos and simple diagrams. Instructions explain the “why” as well as the “how,” and showcase different techniques as well as similar techniques used in different ways. I actually enjoyed looking through it, the design is clean, even with the many photos and knockouts, it doesn’t feel cluttered. I’m considering buying it!
I’ve made a few circular weaving sand have been itching to learn more so I could go further than I was able to my making up the rules. This lovely book does the trick. Instructions are given clearly (including charts) and the step-by-step pictures are not only useful but gorgeous. I can’t wait to get started.
