Histoire super sympa et addictive. Abigail et Nicholas sont très mignons.

Abigail a pas mal de soucis et a du mal à avoir la vie qu’elle veut.
Nicholas au contraire a tout ce qu’il veut mais il se lasse de sa vie parfaite.

Les deux procure a l’autre ce qui lui manque et ils trouvent leur équilibre.
En plus de leur relation, y’a pas mal de chose autour comme les problèmes de famille de Nicholas, les mensonges, Ben, l’avenir d’Abigail qui dynamise l’histoire. On s’ennuie pas.

Des coquilles un peu relou comme la même infirmière qui un coup s’appelle Emily et un coup Sandra, on se perd un peu pareil avec Ben qui de temps en temps s’appelle Brad.

Un casino. Pur partendo da presupposti interessanti questo libro è un pastrocchio sia dal punto di vista della trama, che della conduzione della stessa e anche dal punto di vista stilistico. Le note a fine libro evidenziano il fatto che non abbia un editor e questo l’avevo capito, perché molti punti andavano tagliati e molti altri corretti, migliorati.
Parto da ciò che mi è piaciuto ; principalmente la caratterizzazione di entrambi perché come ho sempre detto quando si tratta di una determinata professione che è una vocazione come quella medica o la caratterizzi rendendola tutt’uno con il personaggio o è meglio cercarsi un altro tipo di mestiere. Qui devo ammettere che il personaggio principale Nick è medico a tutto tondo, ben caratterizzato con motivazioni importanti e tutta la parte “medica” per cui loro, dopo l’incontro fatale si separano giustifica perfettamente la storyline.
Anche lei, Abigail mi è piaciuta… alla fine è una ragazza come tante,con problemi di tutti i giorni, compreso quello delle vessazioni sul posto di lavoro. Facile dire “io denuncerei”,ma nel momento in cui non hai alternative è difficile avere tutta sta intraprendenza.
Anche l’idea non mi è dispiaciuta affatto nel senso che l’incontro fra di loro non è stato giocato sull’instant love che detesto ma su un’attrazione tenace, Che chiunque nella vita ha provato almeno una volta che porta direttamente al concepimento non programmato. Avrei preferito un incidente con il preservativo invece di non vederlo affatto,specialmente per il fatto che lui è medico ma ok, posso anche sorvolare.
Bello anche il fatto che dopo otto mesi lui si ritrovi in un’emergenza fare nascere quella che non sa che è sua figlia.
Giustificabile anche l’equivoco, il fatto che lui non realizzi immediatamente di poter essere il padre della bambina… ma dopo che scopri che l’accompagnatore/amico di Abigail non è il padre della creatura ma cavolo te li sai fare due conti?
Non ti passa neanche per l’anticamera del cervello che possa essere tua figlia? Onestamente poco pochissimo probabile.
Quasi da idiota.
L’espediente narrativo di Trevor che da amico diventa Stalker onestamente A mio avviso andava smussato, corretto e utilizzato in altro modo. Poco credibili anche i personaggi secondari: La peggiore migliore amica mai vista in un romanzo!

“Non sono ancora arrivata a quel punto, in tutta onestà,» dico. «Al momento sto solo cercando di non uscire di testa, per tutto questo.»
«C’è anche la questione della situazione abitativa, Ab,» continua, come se non mi avesse sentito. «Non so se voglio vivere nello stesso appartamento con un bimbo che urla.»
«Credimi, ti capisco,» dico. «Davvero.»
«Non voglio sembrarti stronza, Ab. Sai quanto ti voglia bene,» mi dice.
«Lo so e tu non sembri stronza,» le assicuro. «Nemmeno un po’.”

Ma che daverodavero ?
Cioè la tua migliore amica a stento riesce a mantenersi da sola,ha appena scoperto di essere incinta e tu praticamente la minacci di metterla fuori di casa e in tutto questo dici anche di non essere stronza? Ma a calci nel sedere a due a due finché non diventano dispari !
Lo stesso vale per il fratello di lui,un altro espediente narrativo cliché classico… non mi è piaciuto.
Stilisticamente ho trovato due difetti macroscopici :il primo troppa introspezione, È bene utilizzarla per caratterizzare il personaggio, ma molto spesso sono stata costretta a saltarla perché era troppa e ripetitiva. Il secondo è stato la descrizione delle scene di sesso che di per sé sono state anche abbastanza descritte bene, ma tutto lo stile del romanzo era piuttosto tranquillo e la volgarità delle scene di sesso e delle parole dette all’interno anche delle descrizioni e non solo dei dialoghi stonava completamente con lo stile narrativo delle scene non erotiche.
Insomma una buona revisione avrebbe aiutato il romanzo essere più godibile, più credibile e meno legato a cliché e espedienti narrativi triti e ritriti.
Non posso dire di voler buttare tutto via perché tutto sommato a fine lettura bene o male è stato piacevole. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ sufficienza di incoraggiamento, e chissà… perché no,potrei leggere qualche altro lavoro sperando in un margine di miglioramento.

Nick ist ein mit Leib und Seele Arzt und so verpflichtet er sich bei eine Hilfsorganisation ehrenamtlich nach Syrien zu gehen. Er wird dort mehr gebraucht als zuhause SchönheitsOp´s zu machen ,sehr zum Leidwesen seiner Familie.
Abi hatte ihre Ausbildung als Krankenschwester begonnen ,doch als ihre Mutter krank wurde musste sie abbrechen und verdienrt nun ihren Lebensunterhalt als Schreibkraft bei einem Anwalt.Dort wird Abi ständig gemopt und muss sich den Avancen der Juniorpartner erwehren.
Abi und nick begegnen sich auf einer Spendengala und verbringen eine unvergesßliche Nacht zusammen ,bevor Nick wieder Syrien fliegt.
In dieser Zeit ist Abi sein Ankerpunkt und wenn er heimkommt will er versuchen sie zu finden. Auch Abi findet Nick super ,doch ihre Freude wird schnell getrübt ,denn ihr One-Night Stand hat Folgen und Nick ist unauffindbar.Trevor , ein alter Freund aus der Schulzeit steht ih r bei und als Nick sie dann endlich findet ,denkt der das Baby sei von Trevor .Doch Nick kann Abi nicht vergessen und so kreuzen sich erneut ihre Wege.
Ein sehr berührendes Buch das zu lesen es sich lohnt

When You Know, You Know -
Abigail’s life wasn’t a bed of roses, but she tried to do everything within her power to survive, so the last thing she expected when she had her one time sexual encounter with Nick at the gala, was for that night to change the trajectory of her life. Nick may have been brought up with wealth, but his life was all about helping people. From the moment he met Abigail at the gala, he felt am inexplicable pull towards her, which even continued whilst he was working away.

However, Nick and Abigail didn’t realise when they parted after the night of the gala, was that they were fated to be together. Furthermore, Abigail received life changing news after Nick departed and she didn’t know if he would be returning or how to contact him. Her friends supported her whilst Nick was away and once he returned, they were able find their way back to each other.

Whilst they were building their relationship they both encountered problems, as not everyone was happy with their union and Abigail was still keeping a secret from Nick. Luckily, they were able to overcome all the chaos caused in their lives and get back on track towards a happily ever after. This is a delightful and steamy romance between two seemingly unlikely people, who just fit together perfectly. Reading this book will take you on one heck of a rollercoaster ride, but I can assure you, it will definitely be worth your time.

Verlasst euch nicht auf den Klapptext. Sie verliert ihre Unschuld nicht in Vegas, bei ihrem ersten Mal. Das erste mal hatten sie auf dem College, und als sie in Vegas sind, hatten sie vorher schon Sex.
In Sin City, Vegas, kommen sie sich nur noch näher und sie trinken viel, haben Spaß und am nächsten Morgen sind sie verheiratet und sie ist schon schwanger, was sie am selben Tag noch erfährt. Also kann sie nicht jungfräulich mit Aaron in Vegas im Bett gelandet sein und da erst schwanger geworden sein.
Lest euch das Buch einfach mal durch. Nick aus dem ersten Buch kommt darin auch vor.

tutta la prima parte del libro è a mio avviso noiosa, ripetitiva, un setup eterno e asciugabile al 50%. Quando poi partiamo con l'unico evento di nota del concept, cioè Nick che fa nascere la bimba, allora si riprende un po' anche se gli snodi sono molto visti nella narrativa di genere e non sufficientemente sviluppati. Si poteva tagliare il setup e concentrarsi sul rendere più complessa e movimentata la linea sia dello stalker che del fratello, e, perchè no, la reazione negativa di Nick sul finale si poteva giocare di più: in pratica dopo saputa la verità ci sono ben poche conseguenze.

Coquilles.

L'histoire est originale mais les erreurs de noms propres sont ennuyantes. Pour le même personnage il y a Trevor, Ben et Brad ainsi que des noms de famille différents. 2 autres personnages subissent le même sort. Donc il faudrait relire attentivement avant de publier.

Dieser Roman ist mal so ganz anders , als ich sie von Riley gewöhn bin. Klar steht die Liebe im Vordergrund , aber er hat auch Tiefgang durch Nicks Einsatz in Syrien. Er ist sehr emotional, spannend und sexy. Es gibt viele dramatische Situationen, sodass ich den Roman nicht mehr weglegen konnte.
Nick ist ein Arzt aus reichem hause, was er aber nicht raushängen lässt. Er steckt in seinem Leben fest und sucht eine neue Herausforderung. Er geht nach Syrien um zu helfen und seinem Leben wieder einen Sinn geben.
Abbi wollte eigentlich Krankenschwester werden, aber sie musste die Ausbildung abbrechen. Nun arbeitet sie in einer Anwaltskanzlei , wo sie gemobbt und belästigt wird. Sie kann nicht kündigen, da sie auf den Job angewiesen ist.
Auf einer Spendengala begegnen sich Abbi und Nick und verbringen eine unvergessliche Nacht zusammen und verstehen sich auch sonst sehr gut und vertrauen sich Gedanken und Geheimnisse an. Dann muss Nick für 8 Monate nach Syrien - ins Kriegsgebiet.
Abbi merkt bald das sie schwanger ist und plötzlich steht ihr EX vor ihr. Sie will aber nur Freundschaft. Er angeblich auch und steht ihr in der Zeit zur Seite. Dann kommt Nick wieder, er konnte sie nicht vergessen und will sie sofort wiedersehen, doch er glaubt das Trevor der Vater ist und wendet sich ab. Nun zeigt Trevor sein wahres Gesicht.
Spannend und dramatisch ist auch die Geburt ihres Kindes , wobei Nick versucht sie und ihr Kind zu retten. Er weiß nicht das er seinem eigenem Kind das Leben gerettet hat, denn Abbi hat Angst das er ihr das Baby wegnehmen will . Auch sein Bruder hat da seine Finger mit im Spiel und setzt sie unter Druck.
Wer auf diesen sehr spannenden und berührenden Roman neugierig geworden ist, dem kann ich diesen Roman nur empfehlen. Daumen hoch !!!
