Wild Harbor Beach #4

The Inn at Wild Harbor

Rate this book
Her first rule for a picture-perfect romance: Don’t fall for your best friend’s brother.

For most of her life, Aspen has hidden her feelings for the striking firefighter who is the older brother of her best friend. But when she quits her job to pursue photography full-time, she’s certain that getting away from her beach town is the answer for moving on with her heart.

It’s the perfect plan until her beloved great-aunt dies, leaving Aspen a beautiful inn on the beach. To complicate things, Matt has been living there in return for being the resident security guard and handyman. Moving in was not part of Aspen’s plan, but she’s left with no choice.

Despite her best efforts, she can’t get away from Matt, but there’s no way she’d risk her friendship with him to reveal her true feelings.

It’s only when he offers to help her win a photography competition will she consider breaking her first rule of love. But she’s not sure she wants to take a chance with her heart.

Matt has always been tough under pressure. So why did he have a soft spot for Aspen? Despite his attempts to avoid her, their two worlds collide when Aspen inherits the inn. Now, he’s not only living down the hall from her, he’s bumping into her at every turn. In the hallway. At breakfast. In the middle of the night. It’s enough to make his defenses crumble. But is he brave enough to confess his feelings and compete for her love?

Helping her sell the inn and pursue her dream would be the perfect gift for Aspen. Except now that he’s near her, he doesn’t want to let her go.

The Inn at Wild Harbor combines forced proximity, a romance between best friends, and a tough but tender hero to give you a sweet romance story with a happily ever after.

The Wild Harbor Beach Books are standalone clean romances with interconnecting characters. They can be read in any order, but you'll enjoy reading them as a series!

The Inn at Wild Harbor is the 4th book in the Wild Harbor Beach series. But I read this book as a standalone. I haven’t read any of the books in this series before.

The Inn at Wild Harbor was incredible. Beautifully written by Grace Worthing. I just loved every word that came out from the author.

Aspen and Matt friends since they were young. They secretly having a crush on each other. Matt is Matt. He has the feeling of being a protector for Aspen. Like a bodyguard. Aspen sometimes don’t get why but she always feels that because that is Matt’s job to protect everyone because he is a firefighter.

Aspen and Matt never ever wanted to risk their friendship so they kept their feelings to themselves. But everyone can see how they love each other. But Aspen has an on and off boyfriend, Ryder. Ryder and Matt don’t get along.

When Aspen’s Aunt Lizzie dies, she left Aspen, her Inn. That’s where when Aspen and Matt brought back together.

I couldn’t write anymore without spoiling this book. This book is fast paced, lots of great characters and Aspen and Matt are just two human beings that are so hilarious to me.

If you enjoy romance book with friends to lovers trope that is clean and sweet and has family themed you could try reading this book.

Sometimes things just don't work out the way you want them too. That's what I loved most about Aspen and Matt. Two of the funniest people you'd ever want to get to know. I'm telling you this couple cracked me up! I really loved this story and this new to me author! I mean I just love how the words flowed from her pen making you a part of the story! You'll be invested in this book from page one. It is a fast pacer That's for sure! I've never enjoyed a contemporary such as this one. I would have liked to have known Lizzie a bit better though. Sounds like she was a real firecracker. I really felt that the author describes me through Aspen. I definitely felt a connection with Aspen. Felt like she could be my twin! Matt well he's just Matt. He reminds me of my husband Kevin in many ways. Lots of great characters! Lots of good stuff going on in this wonderful book. I had fun reading it! There's places that will make you laugh, cry and feel hopeful all at the same time. The writing in this book is excellent and in my opinion exciting too lol. I highly recommend! 5 stars! Well done! My thanks for a copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own!

Aspen and Matt were best friends who secretly had a crush on each other. Neither wanted to risk their friendship so they continued to keep their feelings private. When she inherits the Inn they are brought back together and have to face their feelings. A good clean read that will grab your heart. This is a great addition to the Wild Harbour Series and a wonderful love story. I read a free advance reader copy and voluntarily chose to review it.

Sweet, intense, and oh so lovely. I’ve never read where a handsome, almost model man could wait so long for his real love. Inspiring and full of great examples of unselfish love. What a thrill to read

Read if you love:
- Friends to lovers
- Lakeside settings
- Forced proximity
- Cozy BnBs
- Home renovations
- Fake dating
- Riddles
- Photography

I'm starting to love the friends to lovers combined with fake dating trope more and more. My favorite thing is when one of the characters is explaining when they first fell for the other person, and they use a true story from their friendship. As a reader, in that moment YOU KNOW in your heart that there is nothing truly fake about that story. Ugh, my heart! Matt and Aspen did not disappoint!

This story was full of so much emotion. Aspen grieving the loss of her great aunt. Matt pining and secretly loving Aspen. Aspen having the same feelings but trying to push them aside so she can put her sister's feelings ahead of her own. Matt giving into his emotions and finally forgiving himself. Aspen coming to the conclusion that it's okay to change the path you're on and that dreams can change. Y'all this story is one of growth and discovery with angsty romance throughout. Sometimes I wanted to just smack Aspen and Matt and make them realize that they absolutely, positively belonged together, but at the same time I loved how their forced proximity slowly forced them to face their feelings. The riddles that Aunt Lizzie left behind also added a bit of mystery to this story that I thoroughly enjoyed. I really just loved this book...it gave me all the feels, all the angst, all the pining. Just all the things I love in a friends to lovers story as two friends come together to renovate a BnB while finally facing their feelings for each other -- read it!

This was my first Grace Worthington book, and quite possibly my last. From the first two chapters I was bothered and had to quit. I hid the rest of this because it’s my opinion and a spoiler.

Yeah…I could tell right away this was not a book for me.

The Inn at Wild Harbor is the fourth book in the Wild Harbor Beach series. Personally I had not read the previous books in the series, and found that it read just fine as a standalone.

This was actually my first book by Grace Worthington, but it most certainly will not be the last. I always enjoy a friends to more story and this one was done so incredibly well. I loved the chemistry between Aspen and Matt. It was believable, and so incredible sweet... There was a little bit of a mystery added into the story, which always makes me enjoy the story all that much more. I will say that I had figured it out pretty quickly, but that didn't really impact my enjoyment at all... the romance was really the key part of the story. Overall, this was a fantastic romance that definitely has me wanting to go back and read more in this series! I'll certainly be looking from more from this author in the future.

**I received a complimentary copy for consideration. All thoughts are my own.

I have read all of the books in this series, and have liked each of them. This one was no exception. It was an enjoyable friends-to-lovers story, and I loved the main characters, Aspen and Matt, but didn’t care for Aspen’s boyfriend Ryder, or her sister Jessica. I guess you have to have some villains in every story to balance the good with the bad. I certainly had a hard time understanding why Aspen didn’t stand up to either one of them. Matt was a real sweetheart, although he was grumpy a lot to Aspen when he was trying to hide his true emotions. It was very satisfying to see him finally give in and admit his feelings for her. I really loved the ending, and look forward to Ms. Worthington’s next book. I received an advanced copy of this book from the author, and have given my voluntary and honest opinion.

This book is a sweet romance between Aspen and Matt. Aspen has inherited an inn from her Aunt; she isn't sure what she wants to do with the inn as she begins to redecorate and clean things up in the inn. Matt is a firefighter of Wild Harbor who helps take care of the inn, after Aspen takes over the inn, he helps her fix the inn up. While doing so, they both have feelings from their pasts about each other; Matt is having a hard time not admitting his feelings for Aspen. While Aspen is trying her best not to have any feelings for Matt but to have little success. I loved that they both finally admit to their feelings for each other. This no-spice romance is a he falls first, childhood-friend relationship.

Aspen and her sister Jessica inherit their great aunt's Bed and Breakfast. Jessica is going through a divorce and wants no part of it. Aspen with her friend Matt's help wants to fix it up and sell it. Then Jessica puts a monkeywrench in everything. Loved when the writers were there and assumed Aspen and Matt were a couple, and they played along. Great Story with likable and relatable characters. Great way to spend an afternoon.

I was given this advanced copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is the story of Aspen and Matt. Aspen is Megan’s best friend, who is Matt’s sister. Aspen has crushed on him for years. She dates Ryder on and off and Ryder and Matt don’t get along. When Aspen’s Aunt Lizzie suddenly dies, Aspen moves into the inn, also where Matt lives. I won’t leave any spoilers, but I will say if you enjoy a romance about family, friends that has wonderful characters, you will enjoy this book. Grab your copy and see what happens.

After quitting her job Aspen has to decide what to do, should she run the Inn that she inherited from her Great-Aunt Lizzie or should she sell it and start a new career. She finds herself being pulled in different directions, her sister wants her to sell but Aspen is enjoying the work she is doing around the Inn, she is broke and her choices are dwindling. I enjoyed this friends to lovers story, very sweet and romantic.

Reading this felt like watching a hallmark movie! It was the same cozy cuddly feeling that I get when I curl up in front of my TV with hot cocoa and a blanket. Aspen and Matt are adorably in love even when theyre both too afraid to act on it. It was a very classic love story, and I love that Aspen brought to the table some representation for chronic ilness

Aspen and Matt have feelings for each other for ten years. After all these years she's going to leave to see the world. She thinks he don't want her but he's been waiting for her for ten years to tell her. Things get bad with her sister thinking he'd be good for her and the baby by her ex. Wow great read😊😁

This was my first visit to Wild Harbor. I am charmed by its inhabitants. Typical small town busybodies add to the challenge. Friends to lover trope was well presented. I am eager for more and will go back to read the ones I missed. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley.

I loved this sweet, funny romance. When a beloved aunt dies and leaves Aspen her Inn, she moves in to fix it up with plans to sell. Matt is the brother of her best friend and she has always had a crush on him. They are already close friends but their relationship grows and it is beautiful to read.

book 4 was just as emotional

Matt and Aspen worked through riddles, an Inn, awkward roommates and dates with Luther people and the best friends finally became a couple, after everyone knew it would happen.
