I thoroughly enjoyed this story it is fast paced and filled with emotion but there is also the dark side of life, how do two people who love each other overcome their pasts and move to the future with the things that are happening around them, with trust, love and honesty, but can they find that.
Sarah Darcy’s childhood was not always the best but she moved forward and found herself working towards a job that she would move to London and create a new life but there was Alex the only man she loved even after he had broken her heart, he was the man who stepped in and saved her one night and together they loved for a while. Living in London she has created a new life and is happy until everything changes in an instant.
Alex Hollywood Riley knew nothing of a normal life growing up in the Devils MC he has been the enforcer for years now and has done some terrible things but that was his life until he met Sarah, gorgeous, generous and loving she made him think, made him want change, but that was beyond him he must do what he could to keep her safe even if it meant breaking her heart.
One year after their break-up Alex is now ready to move on even though he knows how dangerous it will be but he must make sure that Sarah is safe, so he leaves Australia and travels to London but here things go downhill fast as members of The Devils arrive to search for Alex and Sarah, This starts a journey fraught with danger as they travel Europe trying to find safety.
This is a fabulous story the love these two have is strong and there is a lot to learn and open up about in this dangerous journey there were many times that I was holding my breath, but Sarah, she shows such strength and courage throughout this journey and she never gives up on Alex. I loved seeing Alex truly find himself after all that he had been through and Sarah was his strength. A fabulous story that I loved and would highly recommend and I do look forward to more in this series.

I feel like I missed something with this book, don’t get me wrong the story was very good and I enjoyed it, however I think I’ve come in part way through the series, entirely possible tbh, I’ll have to go looking for others.
As I said the story was good and the writing too, I was unsure about the male lead character for a while but he grew on me.
It’s a book that has a lot of action and there always seems to be something going on.
If that’s what you like I’m sure you’ll love it.
This was my first from this author as you probably guessed, and it’s not put me off her books just intrigued me more.

I had the pleasure of receiving an advanced copy of this book from Ms Nellestein. The Devil Within is a fast-paced, gritty novel that explores the depths of the Australian underbelly - in this instance, the Devils motorcycle gang.
From the first page, you are lured by the author into a web of intrigue and secrecy, as innocent Sarah is tracked down by Devil members in London because of her former relationship with ex-Devil, Alex.
Their love reignites as Alex races to London to save Sarah, battling not only the Devils that hunt them down, but his inner-demons too, all the while fleeing the UK with Sarah. Alex is a brooding, handsome, misunderstood rebel, and Sarah will surprise you as a feisty heroine!
The pages turned themselves and I was surprised at how quickly I finished the book. There are many twists and turns that will keep you invested, especially towards the end, so strap in and enjoy the ride!

When I first saw this book I thought for sure it was some erotica/fantasy type biker thing. Because just like cowboys, who doesn't want a bad boy biker right? I was wrong. I loved this book.
The author definitely got a few things right about MC clubs. As a person in that world I was really pleased with the way the story was portrayed and the character Alex was as well.
Sarah and Alex have burning chemistry. The very first few pages drew me in. Is it a love story? Is it a thriller? It eneded up being both. I love that Sarah wasn't the normal "save me" character. She helps Alex not only become a better man but stands beside him during everything. That's what makes this story work. That's what gives it the realistic value it deserves that other don't get in writing biker MC type books. This author nailed it.
Sarah starts off defenseless but soon is gathering the strength to help him defeat their enemies.

This was my first read from this author and I enjoyed it.
I would call this more of a suspenseful romance, as a lot of this book centered around escaping past choices and actions. The MC is certainly integral to the story, but for me, I expected a bit more of the brotherhood and club life. That said, I was perfectly happy with the story's direction. This was easy to read and the pages turned themselves.
Alex and Sarah are well designed characters, and easy to enjoy. These two have great chemistry, and they were equally matched. I really liked their HEA, and recommend this read.

What a mess. This book goes really fast in the beginning and then barely gives any information. There's no connection to the characters, the story, and no chemistry between the couple and they're supposed to be exes... Just a giant NOPE. I was so incredibly bored.

What a book! You have action, adventure, twist and turns and romance. All of this is going while Alex Riley and Sarah Darcy, the main characters, love is growing. Alex grew up in the Devils MC, their enforcer, and Sarah does not belong to the MC world.
Once you start the book there is so much going on and it continues throughout the book until the end. So many MC books have the female character always giving in to the male they're in love in with. Not this book! Sarah questioned, stated her thoughts, provided options, and stood her ground. It was a nice change!
Their are several stories going on while you read this book. You don't realize it until you get about halfway through the book. This make it very interesting. The
love Sarah and Alex have for each is beautiful and special. At times you wonder if this would be the time it was going to break them. You will have to read the book to find out what I'm talking about.

4 1/2 Stars for this suspenseful romance!
Normally the MC genre isn't my style ... but I really enjoyed this one. Even though Alex was the club's enforcer, I found him to have a good heart. And Sarah is just so sweet and innocent ... having no idea what goes on in the dark side of life. The banter between the characters is realistic and the chemistry between Sarah and Alex is off the charts. The twists and turns just kept on coming and I didn't have a clue what was going to happen next. I love it when a book can surprise me and this one sure did. I can't wait for the next book in the series!
Alex was never supposed to fall in love ... that is until he met Sarah. But he breaks her heart so that he can protect her because as the MC's enforcer, she would be his weakness for others to torment or kill. A year after breaking her heart, he takes a chance at trying to get out of the MC world. He just wants to make sure she's safe first. But his MC already know his plans to break away from the club and have made contact with Sarah. Alex has no choice but to take Sarah with him. Will Alex be able to keep Sarah safe and will the MC hunt them forever?

Not your normal mc book. Sarah and Alex were in love but then he pushed her away to keep her safe. She loves on but he can’t stay away and by finding her he puts them both in danger. Reading what they do to get to the other side keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time. I was a nervous wreck they wouldn’t find their happily ever after. This author knows how to do suspense. Absolutely perfect.

This was a nice start to what I think is a new series. This is my first book from this author. It was pretty decent. It was an interesting twist on an MC story. MC stories have been my trope for about 18 months. So I’ve read a lot of them. This book was better than a lot of what I’ve read. I will read others from this author.

Wow, this book is filled with so much action, lies, deceit and throw in a couple of murders! I really got into this story and had a hard time putting it down, I needed to get to the end to see how Alex "aka Hollywood" and Sarah made out.

I loved this book. The action hooked me in from the start and as the characters and plot kept twisting and turning, I couldn’t put it down. Nellestein has delivered a hot, action-packed, romantic thriller and I can’t wait for more!

This is a new to me author and The Devil Within was the perfect start in my journey with her. It's intriguing, gritty, gritty, gritty, dangerous, exciting and fast paced. There's never a dull moment and from the very beginning this story pulls you in and holds on tight, right to the very end. Alex and Sarah are great characters. Alex, flawed, running from his past, then there's Sarah, innocent but fierce in her own right. The Devil Within is definitely a wild ride!

Two people in love but separated by circumstance, these characters are genuine and true. The writer does an amazing job of bringing you into the feelings and emotions running wild with the main characters. The storyline keeps you hanging on the entire ride. It is truly a captivating story that keeps you entranced the entire time!

Leaving her past in Australia behind, Sarah has just gotten her dream job in London. She wants to forget about her ex, Alex, and cut ties with an abusive childhood. Alex can’t forget Sarah. He must check on her for his own piece of mind, and then walk away from her and his past with a motorcycle club in Australia. But the past won’t remain in the past for Alex and Sarah- they can’t stay away from each other other. There’s no leaving an outlaw MC alive and when The Devils send killers after Sarah and Alex, they must go on the run to stay alive. This book was extremely violent, which is not personally my cup of tea. . The book was fast-paced and kept me engaged. Alex and Sarah both develop during the story, in a realistic way. The romance is not well fleshed out, unfortunately. We are more told than shown. But many fans of the second chance , MC Romance genre will enjoy this. This novel wasn't for me, unfortunately. The main problem is that there's a lot of telling and not a lot of showing - from the get go, the main pair are obsessed with each other. They were in love before but have been apart for a year, though that has done nothing really to change their feelings for each other. Sadly, this doesn't leave them a lot of room to grow nor does it let the reader actually feel invested in their relationship. Most of what it is based on seems to be looks focused and not much else. It doesn't help that Sarah is very much a damsel in distress, despite constantly saying that she doesn't want to, and that Alex seems to change personalities based on who he is talking to. When he is with Sarah, unfortunately, he's just not that interesting.

"The Devil Within" is a good book with tons of action but not a lot of dialogue. Someone put it perfectly when they said they felt like they came in the middle of a love story, where you missed half of the book. So while it is advertised as a standalone, I couldn't help but feel I was missing another book. I enjoyed Sarah and Alex, as characters, but I couldn't find what connected them. I wish it had started when they met or at least given us a glimpse of their former relationship and how they connected. It felt very abrupt.
I enjoyed the action and suspense. I also liked how Sarah transformed herself into a badass. I would definitely read another book by this author!

I absolutely loved this book it was amazing, the author has done a brilliant job and the characters and their chemistry was great. Sarah and Alex were their lives in Australia had been hard, Sarah did not have a happy childhood. When she met Alex she was hoping he was going to give her the love she so much needed. Alex was put in the foster care program after both his parents died then he went back to his only home he knew was with the Devils MC, when he was young his father was the Prez for the MC so for Alex never showed emotions the new Prez made him the Enforcer. Alex dated Sarah for a short time he didn't want her involved because it can be dangerous, for her to go he was very cruel to her. Sarah moved on to England got her dream job and moved in with a friend she was happy living the life she had always dreamed of. Alex ended up in England checking on her from a distance after he left the MC he knew they were after him no-one leaves and still lives, he seen someone was after Sarah so he grabbed her and pleaded that she go with him that her life was in danger. They both went all over Europe not staying in the one place their life was full on so much action, suspense, violence, murder, struggles, trauma, secrets, pain, enemies, anger, fear, determination, frustration, strength, threats, twist and turns, courage, lust, passion, romance and love. (Alex & Sarah) RECEIVED THIS FREE ARC FOR AN HONEST REVIEW! TRIGGERS: murder, attempted rape, stalking, assault. This book was a slow burn and I have to admit that it jumped around a lot, from past to present. It is not your typical MC romance. The book starts off with something happening to the MC's clubhouse and then we find out that "Hollywood" is M.I.A. Hollywood is Alex's road name. The author never really explains what happened in that part of the book which is actually the prologue. So it feels like, what is the purpose of the entire book. The book picks up some time later in London where Sarah is now living after her breakup with Alex. This is a second chance romance. She's moving on with her life. What she doesn't know is that Alex is watching her to make sure she's safe or that his MC is coming after her to get to him. Still we don't know why. After an attack on her and her flatmate, Alex and Sarah go on the run. The book gets a little more interesting while they're on the run, random threats, plus the stress of being on the run. What I didn't like was that parts of the story had no real resolution. We never find out why he left the MC, or what happened to her flatmate. The story is a slow burn and I loved that Alex was very prepared to go on the run but I didn't like how he made her feel like a burden when he brought her into it. The book was ok, I just expected something different.

This had a fast-paced plot that kept my interest. Two people on the run for their life, one a MC enforcer, the other his innocent girlfriend. What I needed more of was the feeling behind their relationship. I can’t explain it but I know within a few pages if a couple have the chemistry I like when I read and unfortunately these two didn’t. I liked the story but the emotional intensity I like was lacking. If there had been more angst expressed from their year apart I would have connected more. However, that’s a me problem liking angsty romances, not a problem with the book.
This had a fast-paced plot that kept my interest. Two people on the run for their life, one a MC enforcer, the other his innocent girlfriend. What I needed more of was the feeling behind their relationship. I can’t explain it but I know within a few pages if a couple have the chemistry I like when I read and unfortunately these two didn’t. Not what I would call a MC Romance. More a Romance Suspense with a side of Outlaw MC.
Great storyline with lots of twist and turns. Characters are well developed, plenty of internal conflict and growth.
Well written and plenty to keep you entertained and reading into the night.

Alex Riley was the enforcer for the Devils MC. Zep, the president, was dealing with a fire at the clubhouse which he knew had been set deliberately by the cops. He needed his enforcer and he was pretty certain that he knew where he was. He knew that Alex had been really close to a girl, Sarah Darcy, who lived in London. He sent some club members to check on her. Alex still had strong feelings for Sarah and was in London hoping to see her and to keep a close eye on her. He knew that some of the Devils MC members would be looking for him. Alex had broken Sarah's heart to keep danger away from her and watched her walk away and move to London without him. Unfortunately danger had already reached her. Alex took Sarah to some safe places that he knew about but it wasn't long before it all caught up with them.
The attraction between Alex and Sarah was very obvious and Sarah believed that they would be able to be together again. Alex knew that there was a high possibility that they might not make it out alive, being the previous enforcer he knew what the members would do to them if they were caught. All the running away from the bad guys went on too long for my liking. Also, Sarah really started to get on my nerves with her ridiculous actions as she tried to 'help' Alex. Sarah was too irritating which made it only an ok read for me

I enjoyed this book but there are some trigger warnings: murder, attempted rape, stalking, assault.
As much as i enjoyed the storyline, I have to admit there was alot of jumping around from the past to present. I did find myself get confused at some parts. There are several stories going on while you read this book. You don't realize it until you get about halfway through the book.
The book starts off with something happening to the MC's clubhouse and then we find out that "Hollywood" is M.I.A. Hollywood is Alex's road name. The author never really explains what happened in that part of the book which is actually the prologue. So it feels like, what is the purpose of the entire book.
Although the book picks up some time later in London where Sarah is now living after her breakup with Alex. This is a second chance romance. She's moving on with her life. What she doesn't know is that Alex is watching her to make sure she's safe or that his MC is coming after her to get to him. Still we don't know why.
So many MC books have the female character always giving in to the male they're in love in with. Not this book! Sarah questioned, stated her thoughts, provided options, and stood her ground. It was a nice change!

The Devil Within is said to be a standalone novel but it feels like starting in the middle of a love story. I want the fuzzy feelings that I get from romance novel characters, but the start of the story is so abrupt that I’m missing that until way into the middle of the novel.
This is a decent book, but not my favorite as I really don’t like the format. It doesn’t flow well in the beginning. I wish it would have started where Alex and Sarah started and then jumped forward. There really isn’t much about the MC which was also disappointing considering it says, “A Devil’s MC Novel.”
I just didn’t care for it. It’s a lot of just being in danger and asking how they should get out of danger. It’s the same premise throughout the entire novel. For being edited and reviewed nearly 9 times by multiple people, I’m surprised with the errors, typos, and sentences that don’t quite work. For a romance novel, it had some love scenes, but it was rather mild. Just wasn’t my cup of tea.
