Oh man, I had to read this one. Knew it was going to be excellent, she blew me away with Possession, the suspense and sexy scenes! Made the bar high for this one that's for sure!
Sebastian's past has made him a stronger, more compassionate man who's no stranger to loss. His impulse to hire an ex-con may just turn out to be a decision that changes his life in more ways then he could imagine!
Evie's childhood left her with plenty of her own problems, thanks to her world being thrown into chaos when she was twelve. All she has to show for it is a teaching degree, questionable taste in clothing and no real friends.
When these two meet there's definitely something there but two wary people, both damaged in their own ways don't scream relationship do they?
Just when you think all is golden trouble from Evie's past pops in, way to throw a spanner in the works!
I read this through in one sitting, couldn't put it down, had to know what happened, cause you know, she gets me all the time. Never get what I expect! Lol, so just gonna say, read it, enjoy the hot sexy scenes, and don't get too complacent, surprises may happen! Very much recommend!

Saving Evie is a sweet romantic suspense. Evie has had a tough life but has succeeded at getting through foster care and college. She is now a teacher in Bitter Creek Montana. She has a good heart and is stronger than she knows.
Sebastian lost his leg and military career and is now starting over too. He doesn’t want to like the little teacher but something about her touches him. When she is in danger he knows he has to save her.
These two are perfect for each other and will leave you with a smile.

Great novella. Evie grew up in a foster home when her dad went to jail for robbing a story for money to get food for them. He spent 12 years in jail. Once out he was looking for a job for 2 years when Sebastian happen to hear him get turned down for a job. Evie and her dad just wanted to start over. Sebastian is starting over also. Evie's past starts to make appearances. The twist at the end is something LK Shaw has done in the past. A must read. HEA and standalone. Can be read in 1 sitting.

I loved this story so much. Evie's dad goes to jail when she's ten.so she spends her time growing up in a foster home. She cant wait to escape to go to college and make something of herself. Her dad has a rough time finding a job when he gets out but luckly Sebastion is all about 2nd chances and gives him a job.Sebastion wasnt looking for another woman since his wife died but Evie just does something to him. things get dicey when Evie starts getting calls and there maybe a stalker. will sebastion be able to keep her safe.This is a standalone with a HEA

When I saw the cover of this book, I just knew I had to read it. Evie's life was forever changed when her father got arrested, but 12 years and a new town later, her life is whole again. Sebastian doesn't know what prompted him to hire an ex-con, but he certainly didn't expect to be blown away by Evie. Just when she thinks she left the past behind, it resurfaces. This time she knows she's not going to fight alone. I encourage to read this book. It has the perfect amount of suspense and romance and I just love it.

I enjoyed my time in Montana with Evie, her dad and Sebastian! Loved, and didn't love Sebastian; but, he was having an internal struggle. When his protectiveness kicks in, is he done for? What about Evie's past life? Will it catch up to her? How? This was a short one-sitting read. Fast paced. Great dialogue. Good book!

What can I say? LK Shaw has managed to blow me away again with this book. When Sebastian gives Evie's dad a job after he's released from prison, little does he know that he will be fighting his feelings for her also. He never thought he would love another woman after his wife passed away. When Evie's past catches up with her, he knows then he will do anything to save her, but will it be enough? This story has all the feels and emotions!! I loved it and was sucked into it from the first page!!!! Hot sexy times and suspense and intrigue make this a book that begs to be read! Go ahead, pick this book up!!! It's well worth it!

Sebastian medically discharged from Delta Force, has recently inherited a ranch which is in dire need of repair. Since he is currently working on rebuilding his future, along with his recent hire with the Brotherhood, he decides to hire help with ranch repairs. A wonderful book by an amazing author. Evie and Sebastian are characters you will fall in love with. Both of them have had to deal with unfortunate circumstances in the past. When they first meet they are very cautious of one another. As time goes by and they are around each other there is a lot of tension. Evie thinks Sebastian hates he, to find out more read this book you will not be disappointed.

I know when I pick up an LK Shaw book, I am going to feel!. This book definitely makes you fee!. Compassion for Evie and her Dad. Sadness for Sebastian. Anger and fear also come to play when someone is After Evie. There are some sexy scenes. I could not put it down. From a True Fan... Pam James.

A little bit of suspense, a little bit of heartbreak, a lot of healing and the authors delectable twist on sexy times. I really liked the characters and the premise of the story. I could see these characters growing into a full series (even though The Brotherhood is already one). The romance is fast, but the storyline is a fast, easy read and you'll be satisfied.

What a delightful story and just in time for Father's Day. Evie is a school teacher and her father Paul, an ex con focusing on being honest meet a lonesome rancher named Sebastian Nichols. Sebastian Nichols is ex military, computer expert, and soon to be hero. This is a quick paced story that draws the reader into the story. Outstanding novella.

I like that Sebastian gave Evie's father a second chance with a job. He only got desparate to provide for his daughter. Evie has some self esteem issues in my opinion and when she finds out she has a problem, it's Sebastian to the rescure.

Good read
Salvation met Evie and they instantly felt and attraction between them. When he hires her dad she is so thankful. Then when he asks her out sparks begin to fly. Will it work out of not? I really enjoyed this book.

This book was shallow. There was nothing about it that grabbed me. The characters are likable but much of the story was rather boring. I guess maybe I've read too many in this series.
