A mysterious message from her mother has Zandra and Juno hurrying to Crimson Cove. When they arrive at Adrienne's apartment it is deserted and no sign of her mother but her neighbor gives her a key that doesn't fit the apartment door. Zandra and Juno are determined to find Adrienne and staying in Crimson Cove may not be so bad.
This is a good start to the series! It has some characters that will definitely add to future books. I am looking forward to learning more about Zandra and her familiar's powers. There is also a good element of mystery. I received a free book but my review is honest and voluntary.
Super fun start to the series! Juno is the cat familiar of the witch, Zandra Crypt. They rush to Crimson Cove when Zandra's mom, Adriene, calls for help. Except when they get there, Adriene is gone. She left a key with a neighbor, which opens a box that she's been saving, storing all kinds of magical things for her to use. Worried about her, Zandra and Juno decide to stay in the town to search for Adriene. They manage to secure a job as part of animal rescue, and a place to stay with a book store owner. Now, they just have to find Adriene. If only it were that simple.
Definitely pulled me right in and I can't wait to read the rest of the series!
Finding temporary accommodation in Crimson Cover leads to way more than either Zandra or her cat Juno expected! Trying to find out where Zandra's mom, Adrienne disappeared to it became apparent that mom left a trail of unpaid bills that folks expect Zandra to pay. This leads to a place in Zoranda's basement along with room for her Mom's stuff is a blessing twice over! The two bond right away and the town is really starting to feel like home. With Juno's help Zandra found a job with the local animal control officer. Things are looking up and hopefully more will be resolved in the upcoming Every Which Way But Ghouls.
A fun read with a snarky cat and lots of surprises.......
Cute prequel to a brand new series. Ms. O'Connor did a great job of world and character building in the prequel. Introducing us to the main players and laying out the plot for the first book in the series while still telling a fun story with lots of humor and a little snark. I enjoyed the prequel tremendously and I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. I would certainly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a mystery with some paranormal activity.
I received this book free through a promotion from BookFunnel and this is my honest and unbiased review.
What a delightful story. A witch and a cat as a familiar bonded and both could do many magic spells while helping her witch. Zandra had zapped herself with a spell to age her from an eight year old to a teenager overnight. Zandra 's mother Adrienne didn't have much money and she was always helping her mother with money, but now Adrienne is missing and no one knows what happened to her. Get ready for the next in the series!
Cute story about a young witch that used an aging spell on herself. She missed growing up through her teenage years. Add mystical creatures harrassing the town of Crimson Cove, where her mother Adrienne lives; a missing parent and a new beginning to start the next phase of growing Zandra into a powerful witch.
I enjoyed Every Witch Way but Meow. This is a fun read. I like the characters. I enjoyed how the book is told from the perspective of the cat familiar. This book is a great introduction to a new series.
I liked this cute witch story written from the familiar's point of view. I as disappointed that it was more of an introduction rather than a full mystery since we still don't know where her mother has gone.
An interesting new series is on its way and O'Connor has written an amusing yet intriguing novela letting us know the who, what, where and a little extra to wet your appetite for this witchy paranormal cozey mystery, mayhem of a series to come. 😉😀.Kat
A missing mother who is a witch and a daughter who doesn't know her very well. This is the gist of this story. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This in no way affects my opinion of this book which I read and reviewed voluntarily.
K.E. O’Connor is a new author to me . I will definitely be reading more of her books! This was such a fun book to read! I loved the characters and I can’t wait to read more books in this series!
Fantastic read!! I am so addicted.. I absolutely loved it. The witty humor and the banter between witch and familiar is fantastic and I love the characters. I can't wait to read the next book..
Promising series, just not sure if I like that a cat (even a diva!) is the main character... That seems a bit strange for me... But, the story is very nice, great prequel for the new series.
I loved this book! I thought the cat was funny! The story was sad also. A woman trying to find her mother. The cat and her witch get into trouble and meet new friends.
