It's never too early...it's never too late. Building a lasting legacy of faith is a lifestyle, not a time of life. God has a race marked out for you to run. (Heb. 12:1-3) It doesn't matter who you are, how old you are, or where you are in life.
You may be running your race already, or maybe you feel like you're already done, or think you are too busy to run. But your race is waiting. God has put people in your everyday life that are looking for hope and longing for someone to cheer them on.
Building A Legacy Of Faith is a Bible study that will help you recapture the joy of being a child of God and teach you how to infuse that undefinable love into the lives of others. You will be challenged to rejuvenate your relationship with God and establish lifestyle habits that will build a lasting legacy of faith
Also included in this study is access to an online bonus chapter that walks you step-by-step through the process of building a map for your own legacy journey. This bonus includes videos and online tools to get you up and running, and a community to support you in your race.

There is some really good, thought provoking content in here with some solid practical suggestions. However, I had to drop the rating for a few reasons. The first and foremost is that Syme used a variety of translations when quoting scripture and even used a paraphrase (the message) to "quote" scripture. It is a personal frustration for me when authors do this. I don't mind people using paraphrases in their own private bible study as a study aid, but it does not hold the authority on its own to be used as scripture to support/promote ideas. As for using multiply translations: it is just a personal preference for me that we are looking at all scripture (within the context of a particular Christian non-fiction book) through the same lens. That doesn't mean an author can't say "hey I know we are using translation x in this book, but I happen to love the way translation y says it ...", but only occasionally. Adding on to the poor scripture choice, I found that a few times the scriptures referenced didn't really seem to fit what Syme was trying to say. Not to say that I disagreed with what she was saying, just that her choice of scripture didn't really provide biblical support for it. Furthermore, I found a few inaccuracies when talking about bible history (what language the OT was originally written in) and church history (when the inception of church buildings to meet in began vs meeting in homes or at local synagogues).
Why am I so excited about this book, because right now is your time to start writing your legacy. The author writes in the introduction, “It is my heart’s desire to help you build a legacy of faith that will bless the people God has put in your life now and for generations to come. That you would be confident you can be an influencer for God no matter where you are in life: as a grandmother or a caregiver, alone or surrounded by family, in a mission field, in your living room, or in a prison cell. Whether your main space is at home, in the workplace, or in your community, building a legacy of faith is a life lived on purpose.” And isn’t that what we Christians want to be, influencers. In this book, the author guides you chapter by chapter through the process and she starts first by dividing it up into three parts: The Spiritual Foundation: The understructure for building a legacy life that lasts is the first and most important step. Training for the Race: Whatever path we are building needs tools, habits, practice and perseverance. Your Personal Legacy Plan: Putting it all together, building your custom journey, picking up your baton, and getting to the starting line.”
This was and is an important study for everyone and in particular for those who are in a new stage of life and who want to continue to grow and be a Godly influence. God has a plan and purpose throughout our lives not just a portion of it, and this book is a guide to keep us focused on being who God called us to be until He calls us home. I loved it!
