Etwas enttäuschend war dieses Ende des Zyklus um die Proxima-Logbücher ! Ich hatte mit dem Besuch der Erde von Adam & Eva (Eine Rückkehr war es ja nicht) etwas mehr erwartet als ein weiteres Enceladus-Abenteuer...
Außerdem war es meines Wissens der erste Erstkontakt der Menschheit mit einer anderen Spezies, das wurde als völlig nebensächlich abgehandelt; wie gesagt war das für mich enttäuschend und der bisher schlechteste Band des gesamten Zyklus...

Find out what happened to Marchenko 200 years ago and how that impacts now
The Majestic Draght is heading towards Earth. However just before passing Saturn, they veer off course to orbit the moon Eucleides. Meanwhile the UN has a station nearby preventing landings on the moon, but someone evades their outreach and manages to get through to land on the moon and attempt to interact with entity there.
This concluding novel in the Proxima log files brings everything full circle as we find the origin of the Omniscience, what happened to Marchenko 200+ years ago, how Earthlings will react to Adam and Eve and more importantly, the alien Gosnips. Adam and Eve's story may have come to an end with this tale, but Marchenko's is still in its infancy! An entertaining and thought provoking finale to this series of novellas.

Great finish to the series
Another great read from Brandon Q Morris. Only wished for a little more at the end. While the book is great, I highly recommend the author. I always grab his new releases as soon as possible. I think I've read everything he has written and have never been disappointed. Enjoy this and all his other reads.

The story of Adam, Eve and Marchinco Continues to get sillier and sillier. But I keep being entertained, think I've read about everything by the author, but I doubt it. Mr Morris is pretty prolific.

Gerne würde ich diesem abschließenden und längsten Teil der Proxima-Logbücher fünf Sterne geben.
Aber es gibt ein paar Dinge, die den Lesefluss störten.
Zum Beispiel ..
.. Eva bekommt den Kopf rasiert und hat (auch wenn wohl ein paar wenige Tage vergehen) wenig später nasse Haare als sie aus den Sanitäranlagen ihres Schiffes tritt.
.. Die Lichtquelle des Raumanzugs deckt wohl nur eine Sichtweite von 50m unter Wasser ab, und dennoch stößt einer der Protagonisten im letzten Moment fast mit einem Objekt zusammen.
.. Die sonst so neugierige Eva ignoriert, nach einem nur halbherzigen Versuch, den einzigen und selbsterklärenden Aufenthaltsort des Allwissens.
.. und obwohl das Bestehen der Intelligenz im Ozean von Enceladus auf der Erde wohl unter Verschluss vor der Menschheit gehalten wird, gibt es dennoch religiöse Anhänger auf dem Heimatplanet und wohl genug andere Parteien die von der Existenz des Wesens wissen. Dieser Punkt wurde meiner Meinung nach von Beginn an des Buches vernachlässigt und unzureichend erklärt. Wer und wann wird auf der Erde im Traum vom Enceladus-Wesen berührt?
.. Astronauten, wenn sie nichts mitbekommen sollen und es die Handlung von Nöten hat, schlafen einfach neben ihren Kollegen ein.
Leider wirken auch die Konversationen der Protagonisten immer öfter viel zu gestellt und etwas unnatürlich.
Die aufgelisteten Begebenheiten sind nicht sehr dramatisch, lenkten mich aber von der schönen Story ab. Es scheint doch ein kleines Problem zu sein, dass Mr. Morris zu viele Bücher auf einmal in der Pipeline hat und ein guter Editor wäre eventuell nun von Vorteil.
Dennoch.. das Aufeinandertreffen von Menschen und Grosnopfen bereitete mir Gänsehaut. Adam und Eva sind nun endlich auf der Welt ihres Ursprungs angekommen. Ein Kreis schließt sich nun, ein neuer tut sich auf, und es bleibt abzuwarten was Marchenko in seiner Zukunft so erwartet.
