Very helpful simple guide for how to read the Bible book by book. Perfect for a new reader of the Bible or somebody taking Bible study more seriously for the first time. Good basic reference tool for any Christian to look back on, too. Only criticism would be that it uses KJV for Bible quotes which is not helpful for most people, considering nobody speaks or reads 400 year old English anywhere else… But still, would recommend. Most importantly, I think the book does a good job at highlighting the Bible’s central thread in each of its 66 books: Jesus Christ, God’s Messiah.

I have to admit, over the course of my sixty plus years here on Earth, I have strayed from my childhood's Christian teachings. Not out of spite, or disbelief, or anything like that. It's just that life gets busy. As I age, I spend a lot more time wondering about "what's next", or "what comes after". I'm as much as anyone else in the dark, but I am continually searching for answers.
This book came along at a good time for me. It is an easily understood look at each chapter of the King James Bible. Both the New Testament and the Old Testament. Along with a short history of the bible, and how it is organized, and why.
Each chapter is covered in an easily readable manner. And a very short synopsis of "key takeaways" from the reading.
Whether you are a lapsed church-goer like me, or just someone wondering what all the fuss is about, this is a good, easy way to help you figure it out.

This brief and brisk outline of the Christian Bible highlights the major features of the book, interestingly, the text uses the ordering of the Hebrew Bible (Torah, Prophets, and Writings) rather than that of the Christian Old Testament in its discussion of that portion of the Bible … great refresher course …

You're better off just reading the Bible. But if you don't have time for that, this is a sound summary and interpretation.
