Warning: purchasing this book will lead to an exorbitant amount of cute crochet amigurumi figurines in your home. Proceed with caution if you do not want to devote all your free time to reproducing these cuties.
As usual, Justine of the Woobles delivers a fantastic product! I learned to crochet from a Woobles kit (shoutout to cutie pie Emilio the turtle), and my passion for crocheting has taken off from there!
Learning and reading patterns through Woobles is an excellent experience for anyone, but especially beginners. Picture tutorials are provided at the beginning of the book for any and all stitches used. There are also progress pictures included throughout each pattern.
The best part of purchasing from Woobles is that there are VIDEO tutorials you can access through their website and YouTube. They have tutorials for right and left handed people, too (for the visual learners out there that depend on YouTube).
I appreciate Justine’s dedication to user experience (UX) and accessibility in her patterns. If anyone is interested in learning how to crochet, I 110% recommend learning through Woobles.

I am a big Woobles fan. I have about half of the kits, which is incredibly expensive (they don't sell patterns outside of kits except for a select few). This was the chance I was hoping for to grab a bunch of patterns. Except, of the 21 patterns there are four that are already kits and were sold. So I have already purchased some and more than one was "limited edition" so you have to carefully watch the site for any chance of getting it. Which makes the limited edition ones feel less special and more like a ploy to sell more.
outside of my issues with how the company is selling products, the book is about half explanation. It is great for really, really new beginners. It will help you get that leg up, which Woobles has made a name doing. It however took 69 pages from all the pictures and descriptions to get through that. It was a lot. I appreciate how thorough they are, but it also felt like overkill considering everything else about the book.
Overall, the book is pretty and great for beginners. It felt not as great as it was hyped up to be in the Woobles group on facebook though.

Coming back to crochet after years meant I needed an easy to understand book with well illustrated instructions for creating the various cute creatures found inside, which this book delivered. The tone is friendly and fun, with good photos and simply described steps. I was successful in creating a few little stuffies for my desk.

Clear instructions, good pictures, variety of projects for special occasions, although most can be made just for fun. I am making the bee, which is in the baby shower section, but I’m making it just because. The octopus might be my second favorite. They recommend using their own yarn and other products, but the pattern is working well with supplies I had available and worsted weight yarn.

What I liked: An excellent introduction to amigurumi crochet, with clear instructions and lots of photos.
What I disliked: More than half the book is just devoted to crochet skill instruction. Needed to provide more patterns.

Facebook wouldn't stop showing me Woobles ads, but I couldn't quite bring myself to take the plunge and buy one of the kits. Then I started attending a local fiber arts meet-up and decided it might be worth it to get this book.
So far, I've made two of the projects. Well, technically 2.12. The book doesn't say which projects would be best to start with, and I made the mistake of going with the lamb blanket first. I figured it'd be easier for me because everything I'd learned at the fiber arts meetings involved rows, not rounds. Then I got to the bobble stitch part of the pattern, looked up the bobble stitch, and gave up when it referred back to more stitches I hadn't yet learned (I only knew how to do chain stitch and single crochet).
I gave it another go, this time trying the frog baby rattle pattern and then the cactus pattern, both of which I managed to finish. I found the patterns to be pretty easy to follow, and as I've moved on to patterns not in this book (I'm currently working on my second non-Woobles project), I've referred back to its explanations of the basic stitches multiple times. The author also has some very helpful demonstration videos on Youtube.
There aren't actually a lot of patterns in this book that I really want to do - very few of the Woobles patterns I most like are included (at least the dinosaur is there, but not the fox, cat, or shark), and I have zero interest in creating the book's various amigurumi accessories (like the balloons and birthday cake on the cover). Still, it was an excellent way to dip my toes into reading crochet patterns, and the step-by-step explanations of the basic stitches and techniques are great and have helped me become confident enough to try patterns from other sources.

I have bought one of the Woobles beginner kits to try, and if that works out, I will likely be buying this book. Right now, just borrowed to see if I liked it. Why would I buy?
1) The patterns are clear and the instructions are (relatively) easy to follow. This is from someone who considers crochet instructions like math which defeated me throughout my school years, so I'm sure they are super easy but I'm just daunted because .... math-like.
2) The patterns are very cute. There are a few that I was less enthused about like the frog rattle and the lamb blanket, but for the most part, I would make all of these at least once.
3) There are bright and colourful photos to outline the steps and to show key things as you are working.
All in all, this is a very good crochet book for patterns and ideas as well as learning the ropes. My only complaint is that I kind of wanted to see some more seasonal ones (perhaps that's book 2) and some options to mix things up even with just some alternate colour options.
I also saw that they have a new anniversary dragon pattern. ARGH. I really want it. But after paying $27 for the sets at the grocery store, hard to stomach a $40+ purchase of the same set online.

I am just learning to crochet, thanks to a couple of kits from the Woobles, so I heard they had a book and I wanted to look through it. It's a nice collection of projects with similar easy-to-follow instructions for others who are learning to crochet using their kits as well as others who have various skill levels.
I like that they offer very clear instructions, lots of pictures that show exactly what they are talking about for more complicated stitches, and QR codes that point you toward tutorials and references. While I have a few projects to try (& retry), I am definitely looking forward to making a few of the projects in this book and I'm glad to know that it's available as a reference when I get stuck as I continue my amigurumi journey.

I was so excited to finally get this (via the library) - I enjoy the woobles patterns and this book is fun. My only true complaint is that I was not able to access the video content as it requires a specific word from a specific part of the book (as a password) and the ebook must have been formatted weird or something (maybe due to electronically borrowing??) and I was never able to actually find that word. MADDENING. I spent most of my lending period trying to access the video support instead of just enjoying the book and crocheting the cute little projects. It’s still fun, though, truly. The team over there at the Woobles house has a legit goldmine business, imo! (: 4/5 stars. Cheers!

I got this one as part of a Humble Bundle purchase and would probably not have picked it up on its own because it's very beginner-oriented and as a seasone crocheter for a couple decades, most of these patterns are a little too simplistic for my taste (although I did make one stinkingly cute dinosaur, and I love him!).
That being said, I think this is a great resource for beginners with very detailed instructions, and even I could pick up a tip or two. The patterns themselves are nicely written and easy to follow, and their is a good range of designs that *can* be made for the occasions listed, but are also just fun all on their own!

I first discovered Justine Tiu's Woobles earlier this year. I bought a few of the Woobles kits to try out. Each one is packaged with everything you would need to make the amigurumi toy. There is also a note card that gives you the link to the online video instructions on the how to. Great for visual learners! They offer instructions for both right-handed and left-handed crocheters. The instructions can be okay for beginners, but I can see how some people can still find the instructions to be hard to follow. The Crochet Amigurumi for Every Occasion is a book that would be a great addition once you've mastered a few of their kits. The book includes some of their amigurumi minus the tools needed to make the actual toy.

I don't know how to crochet (yet), but I have been seeing these cute little Woobles advertised to me and I can't help but swoon over them. I checked out the book to see if I could even make heads or tails of the process and loved the many step-by-step photos. Deep down, I was hoping to learn by osmosis, but that didn't happen, so I'll have to put in the work and I may cave and buy one of the little kits to start the journey.

I like this a lot.
All of the patterns in this book are great beginner patterns. They're easy to follow, easy to understand, and any confusing segments have pictures to help explain.
Overall I think this is a great book. I wish it talked more about how to properly pick a yard to use for the patterns beyond the yarn the company itself sells and I wish it had some slightly more complicated patterns. I also wish the patterns themselves had been sorted by difficulty

My new obsession with crafting. As of right now, I have 8 completed projects, and I have 7 kits left to do in my stash. I also bought the book. Some companies are so smart...they see me coming and whisper my name, and I'm all in. I'm just so in love with these little creatures. And thanks to The Woobles I can crochet and read patterns. I'm set, let's go!

This book has 21 fun patterns, lots of colorful photos, and step-by-step instructions for the basics—along with QR codes with links to video tutorials. The patterns are fun and move from easy to more challenging in each section.

The details in this book are incredible! The patterns are easy to follow. The directions show how much thought Justine put into the process of crocheting. I adore this book and all the Woobles I have created.

Bought this book on day two of learning how to crochet amigurimi (with no precious crocheting experience) and with the detailed how to's and the stitch reference pages, I managed to crochet the little birthday Dino on the cover for my son's first birthday!! Solid 5 stars, highly recommend.

This is a great book for beginners in amigurumi. Very cute projects that stitch up quickly, with excellent instructions for each and detailed instructions with photos for all stitches. I'm hooked!
