Good triumphs over evil
Ghost squadron are pitted against the deadliest opponent's they have ever come across,and have to travel across the globe with a new secret Royal who is the last hope of bringing peace to the world and finally ending the rule of the other evil secret Royals.
Matt and the team transport him from Tokyo to California where the final confrontation awaits them,and even though they are totally outnumbered they prevail and dish out justice to those who thought they were above mere mortals and pay with their lives.
Another fantastic storyline that I loved reading.

Outrageous Adventure
Sometimes these books can get a little wordy and the action get lost in description and expository, but not this time. The action begins quickly and never stops. In fact I would have liked more time to hear Darius’s story. I have to wonder if we won’t see him again soon.

As team SPEAR becomes the privately funded Ghost Squadron, they are sent to escort a valuable target back to Washington. The problem is he can bring down the hidden royal kingdoms, that rule the world and they want him dead and have the power and resources to achieve this. Fast moving story as usual from David and a new direction for the team.

This was an excellent ending to the shadow royals. To believe that the ones they saved their lives in New York would call them ants would pass me off to. They deserved everything the Ghost Squadron put on them. If Darius can deliver on his promises they will be good. 10 stars plus!!!! Thanks Carl Clause

Good fun read
I bought Matt drake #1 on a whim in a book store over a decade ago and have read all 30 books in the series. During that time I have become acquainted with David and he's a good guy..especially able to answer my esoteric auto questions.

Brilliant Series
Ghost Squadron (Matt Drake Book 30) by David Leadbeater. They are no longer Team Spear, they are now The Ghost Squadron. This time they take on the might of the 8 shadow families to get one very important man across the world to America.

It was ok. As the series has gone on the books have become a bit 'samey'. One good thing is that the 'Shadow Royals' have finally bitten the dust. Not sure where the rest of the series can go with new adventures for the team. Still, onwards to the next 'A Cold Day In Hell' - No:31 in the series
