Story: Charlotte (h), the head of HR, and Theo (H), the CEO of the marketing agency where they both work, are drawn to one another but neither acknowledges their interest in the other. After joining Curvy Cafe book club and confessing her feelings for Theo to her new friends, she gets the nudge she needs to go after Theo. Sweet office romance with a side of heat.
Audio: The author does her own narration for this audio book and does a really good job with the intonation, pacing, and inflection. For me, the audio would have been even better with a male voice for the male character – I think it really helps when dialogue is going back forth between female and male characters.

This was an awesome start to a new booknerd series 😍😍😍 Charlotte is new in town and has a new job. She works in HR and her boss the CEO is a fine piece of man😉 Both Charlotte and Theo have a crush on each other and their chemistry is off the charts.😉 With a bit of help of her new friend and her new Book Club she finally goes after what she wants 🥰🥰🥰Instalove, sweet,steamy, romantic and safe with a sweet HEA😍😍😍 Can't wait for the next story in this series 👍👍👍

Not Much To It; Narrator is Best Part
Audiobook Review:
While I've listened to nonfiction books narrated by the author, this is the first time, I think, I've listened to a novella narrated by the author. You can definitely tell she knows her characters and story inside and out, and I would actually go so far as to say she's a better narrator than writer. This is a super short audiobook, just over an hour long, so there isn't much space for character or plot development. Essentially, they’ve both liked each other for a long time, and it only takes the slightest impetus for them to act on those feelings: one date and into bed they go. I wouldn't quite say this is erotica, as there is only one sex scene and there is a semblance of a plot. However, it is a plot without conflict or tension. I nearly stopped listening after the first few minutes because it had some of the hideously icky and crude phrases used way too often in contemporary romance. I swear, if I never read variants of “panty melting” again, it will be too soon. Apparently, too, of course, the hero looks like a god. Gag me with a proctoscope. I'm very tired of that one as well. I wish authors would come up with more creative ways to discuss things or not even focus so much on looks or specific bodily actions. But I guess that might be a bit too much for an author who can't even include any conflict or tension in her story. If you like stories where the couple are already both attracted to each other and act on it quickly with little else happening in the story, you might appreciate this quick read/listen better than I did.

This was a quickie Insta love that I enjoyed. I love the concept of the Cury Cafe Book Club. This was an office romance as well and normally I am not always a fan of office romance. Theo was so sexy, handsome and the boss that I probably would be fantasizing about. His feelings for Charlotte was cute. I really enjoyed this book. It was a fun quick romance. I liked Charlotte and Theo. They were both really attracted to each other and thought the other didn't know. Charlotte can't help staring at him and even loses her train of thought. Theo thinks about her all the time to the point of distraction, and wants to change his company's rules so he would have the opportunity to date her. When Charlotte made some friends at a book club in the Curvy Café (those women were amazing!) and revealed her crush on her boss, one of them set her up to come in when he was there, and they finally hit it off. It was really cute seeing them together.
I listened to this story on audiobook narrated by it's author, Flora Madison. I thought she did a great job. As Charlotte, she actually made me laugh a couple times, and it was impossible not to smile when Audrey spoke. I would have preferred a male to voice Theo because it's harder for women to portray a deep enough voice, but overall a very fun audiobook.
This was the first I've read/listened to by this author and would love to come back for more.

As Charlotte, she actually made me laugh a couple times, and it was impossible not to smile when Audrey spoke. I would have preferred a male to voice Theo because it's harder for women to portray a deep enough voice, but overall a very fun audiobook.
This was the first I've read/listened to by this author and would love to come back for more.

Shelf Control is the first book in the new Curvy Cafe Book series. This is a fast-paced, fun, quirky, entertaining and smexy workplace romance. Charlotte Ramsay is the head of HR for Theo Burke's company. He is the CEO of the biggest marketing company outside of NYC but more resembles a superhero with his massive, muscular frame and chiseled jawline. Ever since Charlotte transferred tot he new office she has been daydreaming about Theo. But she knows his is off-limits and they can never be anything other than employer/employee. Although, Theo has also been daydreaming of Charlotte and trying to figure out if he can rewrite the employee handbook so that they can have a relationship. All it takes is a chance meeting at the Curvy Cafe one lunch time and things are about to lose control for both of them as they write their own story and HEA ending.
This was a fun read with a nice story-line and very likeable characters. A great start to a new series that I am looking forward to reading.

They are both crushing on each other. Charlotte heads to the Curvy Café and ends up talking to the barista about the same book that they both are reading. Audrey invites Charlotte to the book club that they have at the Café. I love how Audrey ends up getting Charlotte and Theo together for a lunch date at the café. From there it leads to a wonderful dinner date and then to Theo's apartment where they both let their hair down. Beautiful steamy, sexy love story. Can't wait to read the next book in the Curvy Café Book Club.

First things first; I like the cover of this book!

This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Theo is a successful businessman that is attracted to his employee. Will they ever take a chance at love?
The chemistry between Charlotte and Theo is clear to see and I liked them together.
I liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.

Ah, these two were so cute together! Charlotte and her attraction to her boss leading her into this book club. But the ladies help push her out of her comfort zone with Theo. He is just adorable, crushing on her but not comfortable to pursue her because he is her boss and a workaholic. Once Charlotte made her move, things heated up fast!

I like these quick reads. Been reading for a while now and sometimes starting a new long novel gets hard to do especially if that novel does not grab you within the first few pages. So you go thru several books before you find one. So quick reads are fun and they get right to the point

No Actual Sex?!
I love this author she’s usually pretty detailed with love scenes but ****SPOILER AGEAD***** they finally start to have sex but then he pulls out….that’s the ending before the epilogue! Does any one else find that weird or at least make you feel let down. Now I’m nervous to keep reading this series….maybe I’m being unfair but this book really let me down

Loved It

This is my first book by Miss Flora Madison and it was a nice quick read.

Flora Madison painted a sexy, sweet picture with Theo and Charlotte's story. The were perfect together. Their chemistry sizzled off the pages! This was a great story with a sweet HEA.
