Jessica Peel. The name itself, it’s image, it’s sound, and the way it felt in Kyle’s mouth caused a change in his physical body. It wasn’t just the psychological impact that imagining the owner of that name had on Kyle; it had a physical impact as well. His heart rate made a rapid adjustment, as did his breathing. His eyes and ears became simultaneously more receptive, and more focused, disregarding superfluous information. His skin felt more alive, more aware, sensing even the gentlest movement of air. Jessica Peel.

Kyle will come to know a level of service to a woman he has, heretofore, only imagined. And when Jessica introduces him to the full spectrum of her dominant nature, it will be all that Kyle can do to adjust to his newfound position as her houseboy. He will have to go above and beyond in submitting to her authority. Her natural superiority will permit nothing less.

Houseboy

This was a great story and very erotic book. This story was very entertaining. I thought the guy in IT didn’t really have to be in the story as it just complicated ir.

This book gives absolutely nothing.

The writing didn’t work for me. The book feels robotic - I questioned if it was written by AI at one point, but I don’t think so - it feels like reading an formal emails or an essay that you have to study for a class. It is entirely told in summary, even the “sexy” parts are - which was surprising since this is supposed to be erotic. In fact, the “sex scenes” were never really present. The book tells you what they’re going to do, then goes to the next scene. (I wonder if the author might be able to correct this mistake if the story was told in first person. First person sometimes makes it easier to show and not tell). There are parts where there is a little more description, but it fails to explore how the characters feel about the scene outside of grateful, proud, etc. There is no depth to the characters, they are all very one note. And there is not really a plot to make up for this.

In regards to out main character, Jessica, I did not appreciate her approach to this lifestyle. She did not really ask the men if this is what she wanted, she commanded it - even before she actually knew it’s what they wanted. And I really didn’t like that she didn’t establish a safe word. I might have been able to get past it, but she is a sadist and wants to whip them and she doesn’t care if they don’t want it. Like Kyle said he doesn’t like pain, but he is willing to do it to satisfy her… I would have liked to explore his feelings around that more before then being told that he gets hard from the whippings now. I never got the sense that she cares about her subs - even though she gave them the ~privilege~ to decide if they were going to conform to living with her and her other subs. And she views life in a horrible way: claiming that men need to know that they are inferior to women; and she can’t have a relationship with a man unless they do exactly what she wants when and how she wants. This is exactly the behavior/thoughts we don’t want to see from men… so why would we want to see it in women? In the bedroom is one thing… but as a general rule to life…

It’s not giving.

Good read…..

I read this and while reading this enjoyable novel, I vacillated between a 4 and 5 rating. I based this mainly on storial (my own word) rudiments; story arc, pro and antagonist usage of the main characters etc. I did think their could have been more friction between the Mistress and eventual sub (which there was actually no “eventual”. He was pretty much 1 note from the beginning, as the Mistress at least had a little more growth). Now, having gotten that out of the way, the story was wonderful read. I don’t know what the author’s life is a/o is about and it is none of my business, but I couldn’t help noticing a/o feeling as I was reading that the author put a lot of herself in the writing. The female protagonist was very real, very powerful; stated her case, turning the story on her own, particularly in chapters 8 and 9 and then carried the story with ease to the final destination. I really enjoyed going along for the ride.😉
