JMC North (Jo) is an author / retired Assistant Prof. of English. Born and raised in Wyoming. She taught writing and literature in Colorado and Wyoming. She studied at the Colorado Mesa U. and Utah State U, and one summer at the U. of Oslo, Norway. With her family, she traveled across America from coast to coast, toured the other Scandinavian countries, and cruised the Mediterranean islands and countries. Liked this new to me author

Kept my attention and I learned much Nordic history and lore. Look forward to reading the next two books in this series.

Best Viking story about the historical and cultural aspects of their Nordic life. Even though the warrior class dominates the story, the smith plays a key role in the village as well as other craftsmen. A great unexpected story of a heroine.
