I liked this one more than the first, maybe because Asaichi is a little more likable? Also I really like the art. There were some panels that were really yummy and I love.

Their relationship is pretty toxic though and not in the juicy way. It's just :( I want to like it. There were some good parts. Like when Asa was getting jealous and they had their soft moments. He's still mostly a jerk though. It just felt like he cared about Yoru and Yoru is really cute. There were some great panels of him. I thought we were going to go deeper in his past, but that barely happened. It seems like the author is trying to do some sort of satire mixed in with serious shit. I mean I don't actually know if that's what they're going, but that's what it feels like. It's just not pulled off well. God, I just want it to be betterrrrr. UGH.

È il seguito di The Song of Night & Day - La canzone di Yoru e Asa.

🤔 Devo capirlo meglio.

I have no clue why I decided to read this sequel like a full year after I read the first one, when I didn't really even like the first one. Oh well. Yay for libraries!
I definitely found this one more enjoyable than the first but god, everyone in this is so toxic. Especially Asaichi. These people would be so insufferable IRL. Yoru and Asa have their own rhythm, and I'm happy for them because they love each other so much, but Asa hit or smacked Yoru sometimes, and I didn't really like that. He doesn't deserve that!!

Also, sometimes the way this author writes women feels a little misogynistic or slightly malicious. This volume introduces a hardcore stan named Hiyori, who (massive trigger warning for self harm) For the rest of the volume she's a majorly annoying presence. She felt like such a hateful character, like the mangaka just included her to say "Look at how annoying this girl is, she sucks and is weird". I just thought that was mean-spirited, though I would say both volumes of Yoru and Asa are very mean-spirited just in general.

Better than the first volume. Asaichi was much more likeable this time around. There was still some stuff I wasn’t a fan of but for the most part I enjoyed this. I also really liked whenever they talked more about the band.
(Also still wish more manga was uncensored like this, the people don’t want white out over the goods !! Lol)

1. I love all of Harada's work. Their art style is so unique and dynamic, and I was captivated by it the moment I first saw it, which was a shocking number of years ago now.

2. The Song of Yoru and Asa was my first BL manga ever, which definitely explains some things about me as person. That aside, that fact as such, and because it is literally just amazing, it has held a special place in my heart for years, and is my favorite Harada manga to date. (And, yes, I know. Look, Harada is NOT for everyone. You need to have a pretty high tolerance for messed up stuff in order to get any of their manga, but lucky me, between this and DMMD in my formative years, I have that high tolerance).

3. This is an amazing follow up. Asa grows SO MUCH in this volume, to the point where I was almost shocked. I didn't expect him to undergo such a sweeping character development. Did he need it? Absolutely. Look I love this series, but I even I will admit that volume one Asa is a piece of shit. But anyhoo, his development was amazing. He did not change so much that he became unrecognizable as a character, but he did mature in exactly the way he needed to in order to become a better person, a person worthy of Yoru's obsession love, and a better member for the band. Yoru continued to be my sweet perfect, head empty baby; I love him, and I have no notes.

4. Asa and Yoru continue to be a perfect example of the relationship dynamic "damn, there is something, like, fundamentally wrong with you, and I am glad you found literally the only other person who could deal with you, so cheers, I guess." And I continue to love it.

Me encantan.

I'm a huge Harada fan, from the art 🥵 to the story. This volume is definitely on the sweeter side, compared to some of this authors' works. Harada definitely writes on the darker side, and I'm here for it! Harada just has a way of pulling the rug from under you, plus the art and smut is top-notch. I just picked my own copy of this yesterday. I've read volume one but don't own it, now that they sell this at my local book store I will have to pick up number 1 for my collection. I'm so happy to own some of this authors work!

This book was quite interesting. I enjoyed the first one, although it definitely had its moments where I was slightly concerned, and this will definitely develop better than the last. It was a continuation of the first one. It was like I start off exactly where I did last time, and I love that. I wish I could’ve seen the other relationships that the band members were in but that is OK. I was kind of concerned about one specific character who is new in the story. It was very weird but I’m glad I didn’t really go anywhere.

i read the sequel for the sake of seeing yoru. his overall character traits might be boring but to me he is so my type of migi. i can be content enough just from seeing him, knowing a little more about his lore, people that genuinely support him and such. reading this series was a torture sjsgsjshshgs *kisses the winds* i did it for you yoru.

Well, I wait to end reading this story a long time ago, but (as usual on me) I forgot about it and... ends like meh.
We continue the stiry of Yoru and Asa, their adventures and how they grow up as a couple, even progressing as human beings.

Not the best, but it was cool and funny to read.
