Journalist, caterer and lifelong equestrian, Amy Simone enjoys writing about Acadiana-based romance, mystery and fantasy. She lives in the southwestern part of Louisiana along with her understanding husband and many pets.
For someone who isn't part of the horse world, this book put me right in the middle of it. It's full of eccentric characters, twists, and horses with a mind all their own. This is a great addition to the Dressage Queen series. Can't wait to read more!
What I liked about this second book is the variety of shady characters. All of the different plot threads interweave and tie together somehow, but you have to trust it when you are first wading into the book. I particularly loved to follow Camille's story, and Esmeralda was a character I loved to hate. Really hated her because she's a user. Lots of shenanigans and easy, leisurely reading.
I wanted to like this book. I really did. The characters were weak and the narrative sophomoric. Worst of all the book was littered with errors. An editor any editor would be helpful.
