About the author

Andreas Pittler, geboren 1964 in Wien, studierte Geschichte und Politikwissenschaften an der Universität Wien und wandte sich nach der Promotion zunächst dem Journalismus zu. Seit 1985 veröffentlichte er 23 Sachbücher, zumeist historischen Inhalts, darunter Biographien über Bruno Kreisky und Samuel Beckett.

In den letzten Jahren verschob sich sein Arbeitsschwerpunkt mehr und mehr in Richtung Belletristik. So sind seit dem Jahr 2000 insgesamt zehn Romane und drei Bände mit Kurzgeschichten erschienen.

Pittler ist Mitglied mehrerer literarischer Verbände, u.a. des österreichischen P.E.N.-Clubs und des "Syndikats", der Vereinigung deutschsprachiger Kriminalschriftsteller.

Kinda disappointed after reading this book. Nothing too deep. Not enough. Mostly you can read about every Bean and Blackadder episode / movie. So if you haven't seen those shows / movies and you don't want spoilers then don't read this book before. :D Author just wrote what happened every episode, every movie. Retelling. Weird.

23 aastat tagasi ilmunud raamat, millele autor mõne fakti Atkinsoni eluloost (pere ja lapsed) 2020. aastal eesti keeles ilmuvale väljaandele juurde lisanud. Ootasin enamat kui filmide kirjeldused, Mr Beani lugude ümberjutustused.
On tegelenud muusikaga, pärast 60. sünnipäeva kehastas komissar Maigret´d.

Do not be expecting it to be a biography because it simply is not one. It is rather a superficial reading about Atkinson's characters and different roles over times and a very little about his personal life. However I got a motivation to check out movies of Mr. Bean and other great ones of his one more time because I mean, what a wonderful comedian and an actor the man is!
