Excellent Story

The author did a very good job in developing the story by describing the relationship s with all the people in the story. I have read many of Mr. Pierce*s books and in my opinion, this is the best one he has written, (although I doubt if I have read all of them). It was well written and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

Not predictable

I was pleasantly surprised that neither Girl, Alone, or The Perfect Wife were predictable. I don't really feel the title for The Perfect Wife is really fitting, but the story was good. These are my first reads from Blake Pierce and I look forward to reading more of his work!

Catches you and reals you in

Bought this two pack without noticing they were both book #1 in a series. Girl Alone ended and I easily moved on to The Perfect Wife which ended with a lot of unanswered questions. I have already purchased the second book, and I hope it brings the closure I want.

Two interesting story told in very different ways.

The story is a little strange in that one is about an new F B I agent and the second one is about a student completing her masters. FB

Many unanswered questions!

How did incarcerated murderer Clayton get his knowledge of Jessies personal life if he had no other visitors? And he was so closely guarded 24/7/365.25?????

Well written.

This 2 book offering was good. I had several interruptions which made reading a bit challenging but I was able to recall the stories flow quickly. I enjoyed each book with good mystery in each. The second book took some clever turns. A very tricky story.

Blake Pierce never disappoints!

I have read several Blake Pierce mysteries. Every one is unstoppable. I can't put them down. Once I get into the story, I don't sleep, eat, answer the phone or the door. I am lost in the book.

Loved these novellas...

Especially The Perfect Wife. Fast paced and easily read

Girl Alone builds the powerful back story for future tales and includes lots of twists and turns.

Great beach or rainy weekend reads.

Typical.

Why do books always have the hero or heroine always do something stupid near the end of the book. It's a recurring theme and it ruins the whole book. Total waste of time. Do not recommend.

Good stories

I liked the first book (Girl, Alone) better than the second book (The Perfect Wife). However, I like these types of mysteries and enjoyed reading them both.

Double trouble

Really enjoyed the first novel, Girl Alone. Suspenseful mystery. The second, The Perfect Wife, not so much. Found the second story some what ridiculous.

Not the most exciting book I’ve read, but fun and imaginative. A good holiday read or something for a quick read.
