A Dash of Spice

Full disclosure - this is not a book I would normally purchase it was in a Dangerous romance Club subscription box, and while I am stuck at home with COVID I am reading unread books from my home library.

This is a new to me author and this book actually has two short stories stemming from the same event with two different couples. They were both quick and easy reads but they are both complete Insta Love which isn’t my thing but for those of you out there that are into this trope I recommend you pick this up. You will certainly learn new ways to get good at baking 😉

3 insta stars! A perfect read for the smutty lovers!

Unbelievable! I absolutely regret that I didn’t read Rolling in the Dough by Jessa Kane as soon as I received the book. When I unboxed the winter box from Dangerous Romance Club, I was curious and intrigued to read the exclusive edition of this book. Previously, I read that Jessa Kane usually writes wild, smutty and short stories. I went through her backlist and found a lot of short novellas featuring mobsters, billionaires, stalkers, priests, daddies, bosses, teachers, convicts… pretty much every kind of hero you can think of, and all of them are insanely obsesses for their virgin heroines.

Rolling in the Dough includes two short novellas: A Pinch of Sugar and A Dash of Spice, both set in the same event with two different couples.

A Pinch of Sugar features Alice and Sebastian insta love story. Alice is a successful woman who finds herself on a television baking show as a prank for the worst bakers. She is petrified, but when her eyes land on Sebastian Cove (a British celebrity judge) she finds the moral support to stay even though she can’t bake to save her life. Sebastian is a dream. When he realizes Alice’s fantasies sway toward a man like himself, he makes his move and plan on fulfilling all her kinky desires.

A Dash of Spice features Lola and Aidan insta love story. Aidan is a hockey player who meets Lola on a reality baking show. Aidan was so freaking hot and possessive as hell and Lola was game for what Aidan was offering. She thought that one night was everything they could share, but fate and Aidan had other plans.

To be honest, I don’t usually read short stories, but Rolling in the Dough was a smutty surprise. I actually like this more than I thought I would. If you are in a mood for smutty novellas, Jessa Kane should be a must-read author for you.
