Roses are red. Violets are blue. You came for me. Now, I’m coming for you.
A year ago, I thought my whole world had ended. My family was dead. The life that I knew had been changed forever. Now I know that was just the beginning. I faced down the devil who destroyed my family and I fucking lost. I’ve become the thing I hate most in this world and there is no turning back. Even a contract with a demon couldn’t save me from the creature that now inhabits my body.
Arrius Priest is planning something big. Something that threatens not just the society of hunters my parents belonged to, but the existence of the human race as we know it. Even though none of us are completely human anymore--not even Maverick--we won’t abandon it. I may have failed once before, but I won’t fail again.
It takes a monster to destroy a monster, so a monster I will become.
This is a hard book (and series) to rate because of its genre but within its genre I’m going to give it 4 stars. Really it’s a 3.5 because my enjoyment of this book and the series were patchy. The world is one which as described, feels like Ms Dark is making it up as she goes along- and d’you know what? It works!a as long as you just go with it! This volume provides a great finale. Exhausted by all the high jinks, I’m now going to find something nice and quiet to read!
The conclusion to the series managed to carry the momentum forward and here we deal with the initial aftermath of the boys life-changing decision and Barbies not best pleased that’s for sure. Back home a back-up plan will need to be formed as they all know they are living on borrowed time and the shadow of Torin’s father is definitely biting at all of their heels. Maverick definitely comes into his own here as he fully embraces his beast and Barbie is mastering control at a fast pace. There were some shocks one of them very emotional until we finally arrive at that final showdown that I’d been anticipating.
I loved how In tune Maverick and Torin were here both on the same page when it comes to protecting the girl they both love and the three have fantastic chemistry together. This managed to provide enough closure whilst also leaving the door open for future stories set in this supernatural world. On the whole an imaginative series that I’ve enjoyed a lot
I love the premise of this story, but I REALLY struggled with Barbie’s personality. She shows pretty much no character growth throughout the series. I get that she’s supposed to have the independent and bitchy vibe, but she’s SO stubborn and ornery and you really don’t see any softer side to her at all. She’s pretty mean to both Maverick and Torin and pushes them away every chance she gets (she doesn’t stop fighting their relationship until around 50% of book 3 and she continues to be pigheaded and reckless all the way until the end). She also constantly fights her demon and her vampire even when they’re offering sound advice. She’s mean and rude to her one and only friend for the entire series. I understand the character who pushes people away, but Barbie does that to the extreme and ultimately she never really lets down her guard. I just didn’t see any redeeming qualities in her character to offset her abrasive nature and give her a little more balance.
I anticipated we’d see a big breakthrough for her in this book, but the little moment at the time of the funeral wasn’t really big enough.
The actually story is really good though! I loved Torin and Mav. If you can handle a super frustrating female lead then I’m sure you’ll love the series.
Okay, so I liked Ashes to Ashes but the ending was kind of a disappointment. I mean Torin's dad was made out to be this bad ass hyped up supervillain of a vampire douche canoe.. and he went out so freaking easily. Or maybe that's just how I'm seeing it right now. I was expecting so much more before we got to the very last page.
Other than that, I did like the romance blooming between her, Mav, and Torin. I laughed so hard with Beth was like I know what you are doing and choosing might be hard. Then Barbie blurts out that she is sticking with both guys and Beth is just like okay dang girl. As for Olivia dying, it seemed really pointless for that to happen (in my eyes) but at least it got Barbie to finally accept that she is girl/vampire/succubus demon.
In the end, the romance was probably the best part because it seemed to make things more balanced. Then Mav sort of being a part time dragon thing was kind of interesting but a bit random at times too. I'm just happy that I carved some time around this series to finally see it to the very end.
WOW! This is a fantastic and thrilling conclusion to this amazing series. Barbie and her kickass crew take us on the ultimate rollercoaster ride of adventure, love, suspense and intrigue. The whole series is one thrilling and bumpy ride from beginning to end.
Barbie is still the very sassy, extremely witty and total badass women we have come to love and admire even if she is physically facing some new and emotional challenges. She has her crew to help her and to maybe finally seek the vengeance that she is looking for.
Once I started this book I couldn't put it down. This series is a must read for anyone who likes strong female characters that kick butt and take no prisoners! Highly recommend.
This was a stunning conclusion to a fun, super hot trilogy. The relationship between Barbie, Torin and Maverick is super hot, but also tender and beautiful. Barbie's sarcasm made me laugh out loud several times. The three heroes working on their plan for vengeance kept me on the edge of my seat, and I was in love with the way Lucinda Dark wrapped things up. Overall, the book was impossible to put down. The series is complete now, so if you have been waiting to read the whole thing, your time has come.
This was an amazing read, that I could not put down until the last word was read. It moves along at the perfect speed, not too fast nor too slow making for a relaxing comfortable read. You cannot help but fall in love with these characters and you cant wait to see what they are up to in book 3. The story is amazing and will keep you turning the pages as you cannot wait to see what will happen next and when you finish the book, you will be wondering what do I read now? This has to be on your list of books to read, no doubt about it.
Ashes to Ashes by Lucy Smoke / Lucinda Dark is an amazing story to read. This is book number three in this amazing series that I can not get enough of. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about fantasy and patanormal romances.

I really love this series, it was non-stop from beginning to end and this last book was so much fun! I love Barbie and the way she grows throughout the series but especially this book! Characters and story are well written and it was just an overall fantastic story!

A okay read, last book was the best. More action, steam, smut, angst, emotional hits and snark.
The whole demon half vamp half human thing flew over my head a little, but it was a good concept. I think I liked the book and series more for Barbie and the and the easy read than the fantasy romance RH story.
Amazing! A great wrap to an excellent series. The drama, emotions and power within this book blew my mind. The connections of ménage de trios finally came through and didn’t disappoint at all. A book that keeps you on your toes with each page while also making you swoon with love sick butterflies when the sweeter and sexier emotions came to. My only complaint.... that there isn’t more.
Barbie (FMC) is one of my favourite characters. Full of sass and sarcasm. With Satrina (her friendly internal Demon and source of giggles) they both had me cracking up throughout this book and most of this series. Add to that one Vampire - Torin and one hybrid - Maverick (who were both by the way hot in this book) and the last book in this series was absolutely killer!! Quite literally. It was just a sheer joy to read. Loved it
Hmm, not sure how to feel about this book. Full of action. Lots of heat. The loss of her best friend Olivia was brutal. Then it felt like this epic ending but it was a bit flat? I liked the fact that Katalin was the one who got Arrius but what significance did Torin merging with his vampire have? Same with Barbie and her vampire. It was suppose to be this big moment but had no impact? Or did I miss it? Loved the appearance of Satrina at the end, but it would have been great to have her doing some commanding of the hell gate? Maybe an appearance of Lucifer? I mean, why did she do all that negotiating on the hell side if there was no outcome with that? And no closure with Esperanza? Even Mavericks dragon was a bit underplayed. It would have been good for the 3 main characters to save the day but they didn’t. A bit strange. Still enjoyable but I didn’t love it. I gave it 4 stars for the drama factor at the end with the showdown.

Less than a year ago Barbie lived with her vampire hunter parents and brother. She was homeschooled and isolated from the world. Now her family is dead and she's out for revenge. She lives with the family of her mom's one-time best friend. She's a hunter herself, however, she's no longer fully human. She made a deal with a demon and now houses her within her body and then after being nearly killed she was turned into a vampire. So now she's a human-demon-dhampir hybrid. Oh, and she's in love with two men, one a dhampir, the other part demon. And she still wants her revenge but now it's a matter of life or death. Kill or be killed. Arrius Priest has plans to take over humans and Barbie plays a role in that. He must be stopped.
Barbie, Torin, and Maverick. This story is entertaining. There's always an element of surprise. When Barbie isn't fighting the attraction her relationships with Torin and Mav are fantastic. Steamy. These guys are wonderful. They put her first in every way. I like silly little Olivia. She's actually a really good friend. I like Barbie's demon and vampire. Now I know I am in the minority but I don't like Barbie much of the time. I find her immature and too confrontational. I love the hunter in her, it's her personality I take issue with. She behaves too mean and nasty. Torin, Mav, and Olivia humored her bad tamper way more than I would. Every once in awhile her inner voices would convince her to control her and I would really like her during those times. The rest of the time, I was just not a fan. As much as I loved this story, I would have loved it so much more if Barbie's character had been a touch different.
-Ashes to Ashes- Book #3 Vampire hunter Trilogy 5/5⭐️
Barbie is now a vampire her whole world is shifting on its axis she is now something she despised since they killed her parents.
She is mad at two single beings Maverick and Torin what they did was kinda f*cked up but let’s see how it plays out…
My favourite line in this whole series “I don’t have a inner psycho” “I wear that bitch on my sleeve”😂
Barbies vampire came out and had a talk with her, and if I’m being honest I love the vamp 💜
Maverick ended up going through a change one night so painful talons and slits I thought he was turning into a werewolf but no the man is a dragon, a very rare mythical creature I laughed not gonna lie it was funny.
Olivia found out Barbie was a vampire on there weekend getaway and was cool and f*cking cucumber because she saved them from drunk assholes probably that we’re gonna traffic them.
Barbie, Maverick and Torin had a 3 some what the holy sheep sh*t that was everything to them they all came together literally😂
Olivia died she died why how could u do this to me Lucy Torin father Arius sent a message and told vampires to kill her she was so sweet she was the perfect best friend 😭😭😭
Katalin all the time was good she was pure she killed Arrius even while he ripped her heart out and her last true words were “I think it would’ve been a joy to fight u Barbie I wouldn’t of won but it would’ve been fun” 😭😭😭
I’m broken absolutely positively broken I finished I don’t know how I’m going to recover this series was everything to me

Barbie was so unbelievably childish in this book, her character seeming to have regressed to the state of book one. Torin as well had slowly became more moulded into the gruff bad-boy archetype rather than the more sensitive person he had been in book one which I hated. Maverick was the only character who's acting in this book seemed to be normally developing normally and the author seed to prefer Torin as he was obviously prioritised.
The death of Barbie's friend was so unnesscary; they could have easily turned her which annoyed me. She just died for no reason and after a moment in the book of grief, she was quickly forgotten about. It was a shame because I think that's what made Barbie's character more bearable throughout the books. As well as the succubus but she still had her usual charm which solidified her to me as my favourite character.
There was little plot in the middle of the book which really dumbed down the stakes as it felt they were more just sitting about, arguing with each other than doing anything productive which was tedious to read.
The fight at the end was rather anticlimactic, they couldnt do anything in the end and Torins sister had to finish it off for them, mailing it felt like they hadn't grown any since the battle in Italy as it finished in about the same way. All that nonsense they were spewing at the end about them being the strongest vampires now felt falsified because of the result.

This entire trilogy was just out of this world amazing!
I couldn’t have foreseen almost anything that took place throughout the entire series which was rather impressive considering you’d normally have somewhat of an idea as to where a book is headed. It definitely kept me on my toes and was a terrifying yet addictive roller coaster ride to be on! I looooooved Maverick and Torin, they adore Barbie and would do anything to help her but also put her needs and what’s best for her ahead of her wants and are willing to risk her hating them to keep her safe. The heat really got to fire engine red level towards the end of Ashes to Ashes due to the mating bond, you may want to have a cold drink of water on hand! Barbie is still as bada** as they come and won’t let anyone tell her what to do. She really makes you want to learn awesome fighting moves too... although I’d probably just end up hurting myself instead of my opponent so I think I’ll leave the fighting to Barbie. I absolutely love Satrina, she adds much needed humor to serious situations and while she may seem like she only cares about herself I truly believe she cares about Barbie and her wellbeing.
This series and it’s characters has made it’s way into my heart and become my favorite MFM to date. I’m sad to see Barbie, Maverick, and Torin go but I couldn’t have asked for a better adventure or ending to their story.
ONE INTRIGUING ROLLERCOASTER!!! Wickedly wild! Lucinda delivers one unique approach for this impressive storyline and gripping plot, ratcheting up the thrill at a smooth flowing pace, thrusting this baby into a tizzy with a life altering, mind-blowing culmination. A raging tempest chocked-full of nailbiting events and inexplicable circumstances thrusting those swirling emotions into play front and center. Anarchy, escapades and havoc run amuck riding the rail, fusing this baby together piece by jagged piece seamlessly. Unveiling a foray of drama, secrets, intrigue, danger and mounting suspense, blasts this baby into the eye of the storm, breaking it down, throwing it into a tailspin with staggering results. Seizing the moment, witnessing the trials and tribulations, shocking twists and stunning turns, tempting our characters in ways they could have never anticipated. The characters are authentic and realistic with personalities and depth that blew this baby wide open and exposed in all it's glory. The scenes are so vividly detailed and descriptive that it gives the illusion you were right there in the middle of ground zero with them. Remarkable job Lucinda, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.

This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believeable. Great suspense and action with wonderful world building that adds so much to the story. Can't wait to read more of these. Recommend reading.

I can not say how much I loved this series. I read book one and was immediately at a loss since book 2 was not out yet. And when it came out I made myself wait until book 3 was out and read the whole series from beginning to end in 2 days. I loved it so much I could not put it down.
Barbie is a total badass and her charter development was perfect. The relationship to her men was perfect and well developed. These was a real story with emotion which was amazing. Who doesn't love a good revenge story that has some steamy sex along they way.
The twists also in this series were not anticipated and were a great surprise that kept me and I am sure any who read it hooked into the series. The succubus demon being in her was perfect and comical at times. I hope to see more series like this because I loved it!
It was well written and developed. It would even say realistic because it made me honestly thing that there could be vampires and the way this is written it could be real. I highly recommend this book series.
Our heroine set out for avenge and lost. Now she has a second chance and the stakes (pun intended) are even higher. Can she and her friends make it happen this time, or will they go down for the final time?
This is book three in the series. While it works pretty well as a standalone, I recommend reading them in order to understand the situation.
This is an action packed urban fantasy story with a fast paced plot and lots of action. I found the story to be well written and easy to read with high stakes and lots of action. The characters are well developed and really come into their own in this final book of the series. I like our heroine's snarky attitude and the support of the heroes. The story itself is fast and furious, grabbing hold and keeping you going to the end, making for a highly enjoyable story.
Highly recommended.

Barbie wakes in a crypt weeks after her turn to now be a human-demon-dhampir hybrid, which comes with her own set of complications. She has to deal with feeding issues, emotion control, her relationship status, and coming to terms with her vampire and demon personas. Eventually Barbie acknowledges and accepts her relationship with both Torin and Mav. She finally accepts her personas in order kill Arrius. The group is always a few steps behind Arrius the whole time and falls into his trap. The ending is an ultimate showdown with an unexpected twist. The storyline is well written and moves at a break neck pace. All of the characters have grown exponentially, that they’re basically kicka**. I’m sad the the series has come to. an end.

I’ve really enjoyed this series, and I thought this was a good conclusion to the trilogy. This installment picks up essentially right after the events of the previous book - well, two weeks or so after. We finally see Barbie start to grow/mature a little and start temper her independence with the knowledge she’s no longer alone, plus she finally decided to stop fighting her attraction to both Torin and Mav, so we get some delicious steamy scenes. She still has her Barbie moments though, don’t worry. There’s a good amount of action in this one (both in the bedroom and out 😏), some heartbreaking moments, and angst. My only complaint is for all the buildup to it, I thought the main showdown scene with Arrius was over too quickly. But all in all, I really enjoyed both this book and the series, and would recommend both.
Ashes to Ashes is definitely everything I wanted from this series! Not only did I get more sassy Barbie, but got to see her relationship with Torin and Mav grow. Barbie really came into her own in this book and seeing how she handled the challenges of being turned. This series has made me laugh out loud while reading it wayyy to many times, and I love the insults Barbie uses. I am sad to see the series end, but so happy with the actual ending. If you like heroines with sass and spunk then this series is DEFINITELY for you.

Mmmm guys first time in a long time that I think the third book is the worst in a series. Still a solid 3 star listen. I did still enjoy both males in this book but Barbie annoyed me for 50% of the book, stubborn and mad she’s overly mean.
There’s a big difference between a sfc and a mean one. I also didn’t 100% follow the storyline. For so much build up the ending was average.
There’s also quite a bit that hasn’t been touched on or wrapped up considering this is the end of the series. But all in all a good series. I enjoyed it especially book two.
Good level of smut Good level of steam This series is Mfm
I am utterly speechless. This series is an amazing conclusion to a fantastic series.
Adventure, betrayal, love, kick ass fight scenes, suspense that has your breath catching in your throat, a kick ass Female MC with a sarcastic attitude, two hot male boyfriends/mates, evil bad guy that make you want to reach into the book and deal with him yourself.
Once I started this book I couldn't put it down. This series is a must read for anyone who likes a kick ass book.
