A recommended guidebook for foreigners

Appreciate the author, I can feel his great passion and enthusiasm in this book. I especially like the sketches which effectively bring up a humorous, joyful and alluring reading experience.
For foreign tourists, I believe this book is a very useful and helpful advisor to have a great trip in Vietnam.
To me, a Saigonese who has come to Hanoi hundreds of times, this book really brings me some interesting information (about the history, the originality of the food...), but that is not enough to satisfy me because it lacks great insight into the local culture and traditional customs (maybe I am a bit demanding).
All things considered, this is the book to read for foreigners if you aim to immerse yourselves in the local culture in Hanoi.

Great book. Was reading it to prep for trip to Vietnam. Great recommendations on places to visit, food to eat and best places to get egg coffee. Also provided helpful hints on dealing with vendors and crossing the roads.

It's so funny to read this book. Trung Kien Le did a very good job to introduce you the most popular things in Hanoi which are somehow typical in this city. I would recommend this book for you if this is your first time in Hanoi, it's funnier and easier to read than a Lonely Planet travelling book, and still informative.

I won't rate this book because as a Hanoian, this book is not for me and it includes many things which other Hanoians and I would not do in reality. However, as a traveller, it's well informative and worth reading to get the very first idea about this city.

If you have plan to come to Hanoi, Vietnam, this book is recommend to be with.
Easy to understand and search for information when you don't know where to go, what to eat, how to act properly in streets in Hanoi. The author explains in detail for each section. The book is illustrated with nice doodle drawings. It looks funny and easy to understand.

Funny, creative and informative. However, the book needs updating some minor details (e.g. GoViet has changed its name to GoJet).

It's good for someone who wants to travel to Hanoi in a funny and hilarious way. For a travel tour guide (newbie), yes, it's a good book to use some language to introduce Hanoi to foreign.

A BRIEF INTRO TO HANOI

I must said I was late read it. b'cos I bought it in Hanoi but read it when I came back. Such a waste wkwkwk.

Seperti kebanyakan buku panduan wisata, buku ini dgn caranya yg kasual dan fun mencoba mengajak turis yang berkunjung ke Hanoi dan Saigon khususnya untuk menjelajahi kota dgn berbeda namun tak kehilangan sisi touristy nya. rekomendasi tempat wisata, cara pesan tiket pertunjukan hingga tepat makan minum diberikan dengan singkat namun informatif.

sangat berguna untuk first timer.
