JUST WOW!!! This book was an emotionally CHAOTIC storm that I never saw coming. It twisted and wrecked havoc on my heart and then mended the mangled pieces back together in the most amazing way......
Welcome back to the Savage River Elite and buckle up because this is a hate to love you story that only Leila's devilish and devious mind could deliver! It's so EPIC! The push/pull between Maddox and Raven is so incredibly UH-MAZING! The amped up angst, sexy tension, suspense and drama had me on the edge of my seat throughout this entire book! Emotions run high in this story and it had me utterly enraptured watching everything unfold. I seriously couldn't turn those pages fast enough!.....
Oh boy did Leila make me hate Maddox for a while there! He's cold, cruel, brash, and so determined to make Raven's life hell at SRU. Although, when his assumptions towards Raven are shattered and truths are revealed though, you’ll finally find the beautiful and caring soul that he really is. One who's a force and will do anything to protect his "Angel." Trust me when I say that you're going to "MAD LOVE" him! .....
Raven was such an amazing heroine! Holy Moly what this girl had to endure! Her struggles and fears made my heart hurt for her. She has a quiet strength and tenacity that I couldn't help but champion. This girl is fierce, resilient, and I couldn’t help but want to protect her from the challenges and situations she has to face.....
Perfect Chaos is another completly enthralling and gripping romance in the Shadow River Elite series! It's so addictive that I had a hard time putting this down! The characters and stories that Leila creates are SO AWESOME that I can't help but say "GIMME MORE!" This is definitely one series everyone needs to read. You are guaranteed to sigh, swoon, rage, and swear at your reading device! In the end though, you're going to be SO GLAD you did!! 😘❤

Perfect Chaos is the second book in Leila James’s ( Shadow River Elite Series ) a series that just keeps getting better and better . I honesty did not think I could love a book more than I did Beautiful Nightmare the first book in the series but man was I wrong . I don’t know how Leila does it but she has this way of knowing just how to hook you from the get go , grab onto all your emotions and pull you so completely into the story .Maddox and Raven were just perfect together, the off the charts chemistry, the intense attraction they shared was undeniable and so freaking hot .their has it all , emotion, angst , steam , intrigue, friendships, romance, second chances, love , happiness , joy , heartbreak and many twists and turns you will not be expecting. Im not going to give anything away but what I will say is that once you meet Maddox and Raven you will not be able to stop yourself from falling in love with them . Both so likable, so relatable and multi layered . I honestly cannot remember the last time a story made me feel as much as this one did . It’s truly a emotional rollercoaster.

Wow…. Perfect Chaos had all of my favorite elements (twist, turns, drama, angst, surprises, revelations, secrets, things going sideways, emotions, and lots of heat)that I love in any book I read. Another thing that I love in the books I read is the way Perfect Chaos (any book) make me feel so many different emotions and feeling invested in the characters. Perfect Chaos is the perfect blend of everything that I look for in a book and is a fun, emotional roller coaster ride! Raven and Maddox both had so much to overcome both individually and as a couple and they had the perfect blend of characteristics and history that makes them come alive in your mind. Perfect Chaos is anything but dull or predictable which makes it an excellent book to read. Leila James, author, writes books with lots of heart and her characters definitely have me (and other readers I am sure) invested in them and have me rooting for the characters to find their HEA. Most romance books usually have the heroine go through most of the angst and in Perfect Chaos you can see that Maddox struggled the most with his emotions which was a nice change. All of the above makes Leila one of my favorite authors. I highly recommend Leila James as an author, Shadow River Elite series, and Perfect Chaos (although it could be read as a stand alone but to get a better experience Beautiful Nightmare, book 1 of Shadow Elite series) as a book. As for me I can’t wait for Sweet Punk (book 3 of the Shadow Elite series) to be released. Happy reading!

Perfect Chaos is the second book in the Shadow River Elite series by Leila James. It can be read as standalone but I HIGHLY recommend reading the series in order. If you read Beautiful Nightmare then you have met Maddox (Hawk’s suite mate and friend) and Raven (Lux’s suite mate and friend).
Maddox can’t stop thinking about the blonde pixie who lives across the hall. The way she moves. The way she carries herself. Even the way she carries her cello. She may seem perfect to her friends but he sees right through her. She is nothing but a whore in his eyes. He hates her. Hates her for being in his head. In his space. He hates that nothing he does recklessly keeps her away. She is everywhere. He especially hates the way he wants her…
Raven is doing what she has to do to accomplish her dream. She works hard at every turn. She sees the way Maddox looks at her and she doesn’t understand it. They have never even been alone in the same space so it’s intense when it finally happens. It’s both hot and cold. What she does know is the way he makes her feel…on fire. She shouldn’t want him. Especially after the names he calls her but there is something there. Something she can’t ignore. She wants to understand the hate.
I really can’t get into the story without spoilers but hot damn! Not only is their story hot but it is intense, emotional, and full of twists. I loved every second of it and if adulting didn’t get in the way I would have finished in one day. I loved the characters, the writing, the twists, the intensity. Everything. I can’t wait for the next book. I have been slowly falling for Kellan so I know I am going to fall hard in Sweet Punk.

I couldn’t put this book down. From the beginning, we are pulled into this emotional rollercoaster of a story, with the angst and mystery of why Maddox is so upset by what Raven does in her free time. We are taken along for the ride of watching him get angry based on his assumptions but we also see what looks like feelings for her, which he undoubtedly tries to fight. There is clearly something there between them and Raven is so confused by Maddox’s words and actions towards her. My heart hurts for both of them as the truth comes to light and we learn of Raven’s struggles and witness everything that she has to endure, as well as the reasons behind why Maddox is the way he is.
I’m a growling grizzly bear. A deadly storm. I’m perfect chaos. An unstoppable force…
Leila James is one hell of a storyteller. Perfect Chaos will have you on the edge of your seat, at times hurting for the characters, wanting to jump into the book and take action but other times you’ll be swooning and falling in love. There are twists and turns, that will have your heart pounding so fast, you won’t be able to turn the page quick enough. Just when you think you have it all figured out, Leila proves that you don’t. I fell in love with Mads and Raven so damn hard. Their story is one that is a bit painful yet beautiful and so perfectly chaotic…in the best of ways, of course!!
I can’t wait to see what Leila has in store for us with Kellan and Star’s story, in book three, Sweet Punk!!

Seeing Maddox’s reaction to Raven’s, shall we say, extra curricular activities at the end of Beautiful Nightmare, I couldn’t wait to dive into Perfect Chaos to see why he reacted the way he did. Having read enough of Leila’s books by now I knew that she would make it interesting, and boy did she ever.
I love Raven’s character so much. She’s talented, compassionate and brave, and while she goes through some unspeakable things in this book it makes her courage shine through. Not to mention I don’t think anyone else could handle Maddox the way Raven does. Speaking of our slightly unhinged broody boy, whew...that boy brought out a mixture of emotions in me. There were times when I wanted to punch him in the face (even though he probably would have liked that too much) for the way he was treating Raven, but at the same, knowing why he was acting that way just made me want to hug him. It should come as no surprise by now that Leila likes to throw these hot, broody guys at us and make us completely fall in love with them. Needless to say, she did the same with Maddox. And their chemistry is absolutely off the charts! Seriously, if you thought Luxe and Hawk has some serious chemistry, theirs is nothing compared to Maddox and Raven.
Clear your schedule, grab a cozy blanket and get comfortable because when you start this book, you’re not going to want to stop reading until you finish!

I am absolutely here for this series. The first book blew me away, so I went into this book with high expectations and Leila did not let me down! I'm not sure I have the right words to describe Maddox and Raven's story, it's just...wow!
Raven is a scholarship student and is intent on paying her room and board, taking on multiple jobs to do so because her parents have fallen on hard times. You can feel the weight on her shoulders, but she does it all gracefully. She plays a mean cello and her main goal is to study under the amazing Professor Riddick.
Maddox has a lot of childhood trauma that impacts him and he seeks outlets for his pain as a result. He makes assumptions about Raven (Rae, as he calls her) based on his past experiences, but of course, he can't get her out of his head. The chemistry between Rae and Mad (her nickname for him) is off the charts (fans face)! I love it when you can feel the chemistry coming off the pages.
There are definitely some twists and turns that I didn't expect...bravo Leila! I love that this series isn't predictable, the stories suck you in and don't let go. I absolutely loved Rae and Mad's story!

Perfect Chaos is book 2 in Leila James's Shadow Elite Series and follows Maddow and Raven's story.
This books is the pure definition of an Enemies to Lovers trope. You could feel the hatered coming off the pages and at times I wanted to jump into this book a punch Maddox. This book will take you on an emotional roller-coaster as Leila does best.
Maddox and Ravens story is full of angst, seriously sexy moments, suspense, emotional drama and surprises. Like book 1 ends in a slight cliffhanger to bring us into her book 3 characters story.
I highly recommend this read but be warn there a few triggers in this book.

OMG so goooooddddddd. Second book in the series. Love all the characters and the appearance from the first book. Love this series. Leila has knocked it out of the park again. Cannot wait for the third one. You will not be disappointed.

“OMG! This book got me on my knees”
If you read the first book of the shadow river elite, then you know it ended with a little cliffhanger, or with an outlook on what happens next. Therefore we are immediately drawn into the story of Raven and Maddox. I think I cried more often than the character themselfs for their stories. I really and absolutley love Raven. What a beautiful human being with the heart and soul of a caring daughter, friend and roommate. And Maddox? Boy, I never read about a male character who was so full of everything and stands by it. He has flaws, issues and a temper problems, but that is what makes him him and I Loved it. His roughness and edges are real. Their way with each other was hard, rough and sometimes painful. Trust issues, angst and lack of communication are in the way. There were things I didn’t see coming, again. Things I thought would happen, but gladly didn’t and things that were unbelievable.. Ravens passion is impressive but also her weak point. Maddox does everything other than impress this family, more the opposite. But how far are you willing to go. And what happens when in the end the percfect chaos comes to your rescue? Wow. Highly recommended.

Perfect Chaos by Leila James is book 2 in the Shadow Rivers Elite University Series. After reading Beautiful Nightmare, I was extremely excited to read this next book on Raven and Maddox.
I was not disappointed! Just like the first book, this one held my interest and lead me right through the chaos and into the other side. What a road these two characters had to go through was excruciating and heartbreaking. I felt every emotion and every tear Rae and Mad experienced.
The mystery in this story had me guessing through out the whole book. The steamy scenes had me fanning myself from all the heat. The mischief in Maddox had me laughing out loud. The loyalty in their friendships had me wishing I had those friends in my life.
I most certainly enjoyed Perfect Chaos by Leila James and I'm looking forward to book 3 with Star and Kellan.

This book right here is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. The love/hate relationship between the both of them had me

When he finds out what Raven is doing behind closed doors, you understand it even more. Poor Raven you just feel for her from the very start. I’m glad how it all worked out in the end and revenge they get on a certain someone. When Maddox came in to safe the day, that was just pure fire!!! Im so excited for the next book! Just when I think Leila James can’t top her last book, she goes and does just that. Perfect Chaos is just… perfect. Who doesn’t love a Hero that that is broody but still feels the unwavering need to protect a girl he doesn’t even like. That is Maddox in a nutshell. He has Raven all over the place emotionally with his mood swings. But the chemistry is undeniable between them. You need to grab this and you will have a hard time putting it down.

HOLY HECK! The chemistry coming off of Maddox and Raven is explosive, between the roller coaster of emotions with these two you get thrown for a loop de loop throughout the book. I thought I hated Maddox at first but the way he protects Raven when stuff hits the fan, makes you love him. This book is so good. Leila does it again with her writing everything. I am so looking forward to the next book.

• …And I thought book 1 was amazing. Perfect Chaos hits the ground running right out of the gate: a steamy intense college bully romance that's a full on 5 star read. As always, Leila James builds tension by leaving the reader hanging at the end of each chapter. It was addicting enough that I stayed up until 3 am reading.
Both Raven and Maddox harbor secrets they’re trying to hide, especially from each other. The attraction between them builds into this push/pull tension that takes you on a rollercoaster ride. Maddox’s broody angst is so palpable it practically leaps off the page. I can’t recommend this book, and the series, enough. And I won’t get into details because there’s a lot of “whoa!” moments in this book that can be spoilers.

This is book 2 in the Shadow River Elite series. I HIGHLY recommend, well, no you need to read book 1 before this. The MC’s from book one play a big role in this one too.

Can you fall in love with a book over one line written? “Mad? I think I love the way you hate me.” Yassss!!!!!!!! This line is everything!!! 🤩🔥This absolute incredible line sums up this fantastic book!!! Literally falling for someone you don’t want, but going back time and time again is the story of Maddox and Raven. These two have so much chemistry, that they fight hard!

Leila is killing it with this series!!! Leila James’ writing is incredible! She is an absolute favorite of mine. This book throws incredible twists at you. You think you figured out the storyline, nope, she totally goes in a different direction. I was literally on the edge of my seat the entire book! This book is extra steamy too! 🌶😍🔥 I am sooooo excited for the next book in this series, Kellan and Star are gonns be fun. This is a must devour of a read. 🤩⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🤩

I wish we could rate this more than 5 stars, it deserves it!! I did not see this book coming, sweet and sassy Raven, who so many collage kids can relate too. Maddox who is a bully, but oh did we find his sweet side. This story unfolded in the most sexy way, and I did not want to put it down. I love at how protective Maddox is of Raven. She pulls out a side of him that very few people get to see.

Leila has this way of making you fall in love with her characters from the start.
Maddox was such an asshole and I was sure that Raven will be run right over by him. As always I am caught hook, line and sinker. The love I have for these characters was so great and when it was over I was sad but thoroughly satisfied. So hot and so sexy. A MUST READ.

Okay, so I'll be honest: I really didn't think Leila could top Beautiful Nightmare, because I really loved that book, but this one? OMG, I LOVED it, maybe even more than BN! It had the perfect combination of jealousy, angst, and drama.
I swear, it seems like every book I read of Leila's becomes my new favorite, and this one was no exception! The chemistry between Maddox and Raven was off the charts, and I loved that he was crazy obsessed with her before she even really knew him. I also loved seeing the change in him throughout the course of the book. I just honestly loved everything about this book, and it's now my new favorite! Highly recommended with more than five stars!

Okay, I loved Lux and Hawk from "Beautiful Nightmare" but... but! Maddox and Raven are fire!! Maddox is what dreams are made of and Raven is so sweet and strong, the perfect combination!
Oh this is a fun, steamy, healing enemies to lovers tale that equals the first book easily.

Leila James is a master story teller! Her characters are well developed and real. It was like I was sitting in the suite with them as if they were my new bffs.
I read to escape and escape I did. I got lost in the story so much I couldn’t put it down. There weren’t any big plot twists but there were a few turns in the road and enough spice to keep me wanting and reading.
I enjoyed beautiful nightmare but perfect chaos was far better imo and that’s hard to do in a series. I can’t wait for book #3.

If you are looking for a broody, angsty, protective man to fall in love with look no further. I wasn't quite sure I could love 2 characters in a book more than I did Beautiful Nightmare and then came Maddox and Raven. Leila had me craving their story before it even started (thanks cliffhanger queen!). Their chemistry is seriously explosive and chaotic. You are constantly being whiplashed into loving them both. Set aside time for this one because you won't want to put it down.

Perfect title for Maddox and Raven. Maddox is that super hot and broody guy that every girl longs to tame. And Raven is just the right girl for the task! These 2 will leave you wishing you had attended Shadow River. The group of friends and the story lines are amazing as always. Another epic book by Leila James!

Wow, this one threw me for a loop. Maddox wow, I never saw him coming like this. Talk about doing a COMPLETE turn around !!! And Raven, someone who was very relatable for sure. This tough guy (Maddox) totally shocked me when their story started but you soon realize he is OBSESSED with Raven and can't get his head around his feelings. He is haunted by his past and let's that almost ruin any future with Raven. Raven is quite a laid back girl, with some baggage of her own. She keeps secrets about herself and what she is doing to get by, she is caught up in a spider web with no other options out. There were some twists at the end that surprized me for sure. This relationship WAS meant to be, they are perfect together !!! Happy to see this second couple from the first book with a happily ever after. ❤️❤️❤️

I could not put this book down once I started. A perfect follow up to the 1st book, Beautiful Nightmare, the twists and turns will keep you so sucked in, you won't ever want it to end. My heart goes out to Raven and all the chaos she has to go through to get through this book. Maddy is so perfect for her even though it takes time for him to see it. They find solace and love with one another, just not without a bunch of angst, adrenaline rushes, a bit of hate, and a twisted plot.

WHAT A HEART POUNDING ROLLERCOASTER OF FEELINGS IN THIS BOOK! I love Maddox with everything I am! He is brooding, angry, violent, loyal, caring and PASSIONATE! An enemies to lovers book that will keep you reading through the night!
It made me laugh and actually made me cry! I love the way he loves Raven!!! So wholeheartedly and all in! So much happened in this book that after thinking back… I thought it was longer than it actually was!
Now to wait for Book 3 of the Shadow River U Elite - Kellan and Star’s story! This book does contain some trigger warnings, but if you can get through them… whew it is definitely worth the ride!
