Happy hoes ain't hatin' and hatin' hoes ain't happy. That's how Moet feels as she steps into the role as Zane's fiancée. She can handle the blogs, but her anger won't allow Cabrina to keep disrespecting her relationship with Zane. When Cabrina takes things too far, will she and Zane bounce back from it or will this end their engagement altogether?
Tammy, is dealing with her dying husband but, if that's not enough, she has to deal with his family. Not being one to get along with Rick's family, she bites the bullet. But, when a stranger from her past comes into her life, it throws her for a loop. Will Tammy let this person in, or will she slam the door in their face?
After hearing the news about Monett, Hakeem rushes to be by her side, along with Johnathan. Hakeem can't help but to think he has something to do with it, but doesn't speak on it. Will Hakeem find out the truth? Or will Monett continue to hide the fact that Johnathan tried to kill her?
After finally getting her BAE, now Moet has to protect what she has. Will she fight, or will she let a good thing go and return to KI?
I like the down to earth dialogue this series delivers. There were some errors and inconsistencies within the writing but not enough to take away from the story. The holiday gifts were a bit much.. it was over the top and too soon in my opinion. If it hadn't been for the last couple chapters I probably would have given this book a 3. I enjoyed the unexpected change of course but it felt a little rushed and sudden without enough detail played out in between, it was more summed up and no timing given, you just knew some time had passed once all the details started pouring out. I plan to read the next installment so I'm hoping that it will be more played out there.
This series is a breath of fresh air....I love the storyline. Its urban fiction but doesnt include drug dealers or thugs. I cant wait to jump in on part 3.
If I thought the first B.A.E had me in a chokehold, book 2 came through like a thief in the night and robbed me of my peace and patience.
Let’s be clear: I thought I was ready. I really did. But the way Jahquel J snatched the little bit of emotional stability I had left and replaced it with chaos, heartbreak, and I WAS NOT PREPARED. Every time I thought things were calming down, here comes another bomb, another betrayal, or some unexpected mess that had me literally SCREAMING.
The characters leveled up, but so did the drama. The love? DEEPER. The betrayals? COLDER. The loyalty? TESTED. And the enemies? Even bolder.
Jahquel gave us plot twists with pressure. Gave us pain with purpose. And gave us love stories that don’t come with a bow they come with heartbreak.
This book had me STRESSED, OBSESSED, and emotionally POSSESSED. B.A.E 2 reminded me that sometimes your person is the calm and the storm… and that love before anyone else isn’t always pretty but it’s always worth it. 💥❤️🔥📚
This series is getting better and better. Zane and Moet's is still flourishing, well until that devastating news news. They were just cooling in the breeze, but all of that was Monet's fault. Hakeem and Monett got they thing going on and Hakeem is definitely doing it right. In a way I kind of feel bad for Jonathan when it comes to Nauti, but the think about how he treated Monett. The love in the story is really felt, so Tammy's reaction was really heartbreaking. Looks like there is so much going to happen in part 3, I hope Zane hasn't completely lost his mind.
Oh ..man first it was goin so well, but boy...did tht shoe drop! Hve mi i tears😭, tht was definiteli a curve ball! And i feel so sad for her! Moet🤦🏾♀️ js cnt get right, i understand wht she lost, but to blame the love of ur life like it didn't effect him, she pushed him away and nw... He's spiralin🤦🏾♀️ monett still hve a soft heart for Johnathan because she knw his background is the reason for his behavior but she gotta humble him because he doin too much, he should of took the babi steps to get monett trust enuf so he cn c his son, its his fault he in the situation 🤦🏾♀️. I cnt wait to c hw this ends👁️👁️🍿🍷!
I absolutely loved this book from start to finish. I recently finished another one of Jahquel’s books and decided to go into her older books and I was not dissatisfied.
She absolutely ate with the multiple POV’s - that alone adds depth to the characters to see how one character’s actions causes a reaction on others.
I loved the relationship of Monett and Monet to see them continue to be ride or dies for each other. But omg I literally was cracking up with the way Blake was really a whore 😂😭 girl had NO morals.

This was another great ready, a little on the slow burn side but overall great! The ending was heart breaking, I hoped for Rick to push through and to know that cancer played a part but was the overall reason for his ending just hurt. Moet does a lot of self sabotage and she just truly need some healing but Zayne is going to continue to make my girl crash out!
This book was definitely a great read. It was better than the first one. I loved the storyline and passion and romance, love and women camaraderie in this book. I loved most about this book was the everyday life drama we face. The ending of this book was a tear jerker and heartbreaking. I will definitely recommend this book if you like suspense and drama and romance.
Despite his overwhelming feelings for Moet, Zane is again caught up in a compromising situation that doesn't bode well with his and Monet's relationship. But I'm sure he has a very good reason! Meanwhile, Monette, by refusing to disclose the true reason behind her and Jonathan's parting of ways, now has to go to court and fight for her son. I would sing like a canary! Poor Tammy! That's all I have to say about that!
this book 2 was definitely a tear jerker. I cried and laughed so much I cried. I’m going to the next phase in book 3 I’m trying to get my head ready for fiesta Moët. She’s been thru a lot in 1 year.lets see wats next for her.monette and Tammy all have their fair share of roller coasters.........wats the path leading each couple to......
I can understand rick and tammy relationship dealing wit cancer. Its not a easy situation to deal wit, i can relate to that sadness. I love all the characters except for Johnathan and his mom they suck big time. I am happy i started reading this series and cant wait to read part two i didn't want to give to much away Lol
Yessssss I’m glad I started reading this series!!!
This book was right I just love me some Zane but that Cabrina can get it anytime! I like the unique names of the characters. If you need a new read start at Bae 1..nice work author a couple of grammatical errors but they can be overlooked easily!!!
I’m lowkey over here so hurt over Rick. The author built them up to only send it crashing down. Moët silly acting self need to get it together or she’s going to lose a good man. Monnett need to stop playing games and pull out all the receipts on Jonathan fraud self.
Everyone judging Moët but Zyaire is a problem too. It took him too long to put Cabrina in her place. Also, if she’s expressing concern about sec and losing the baby, he should’ve understood 🙄 There are other things they could’ve done besides sex, seriously. He needs to grow up!
This was a very emotional book. Rick and Tammy went through so much. Mort and Zane lack of communication was causing so much unnecessary stress for them both. Monett needs to get her ish together. Trying to protect someone that caused so much pain is mental.
This series is awesome. It continues to balloon into an invigorating fast paced five star banging read. With all the drama the good the bad and the ugly that's going on you'll stay with your anxiety on high wondering what's next. One click for what's next.
Man the story is a rollercoaster ride1 minute we up and then man down, I am however enjoying the ride Once again kudos to author and onto the follow up btw I didn't need all those little questions at the end.
The immaturity of the women is too much at times. Tammy shutting out family and friends. Monet protecting an abused. Moet selfishness and blaming Zane for something neither could control. It’s too much.
It only gets 4 star because of all the errors. Otherwise the story was good. I have all the questions that were at the end. I hope we get answers in part 3. But I think Zane and Moet"s relationship issues are her fault. She was rushing things instead of enjoying it.
Man my heart has broken for Tammy. I hope whatever depression she sinks into she can find the will to climb out. Monett needs to let everyone know what Jonathan did or risk the chance of losing her child to him. Come on Zane..... Really???
When I say I never expected this ending I mean it!!!!! Tammy and Rick oh my goodness! Moët and Z WTH! Jonathan take several seats sir! The roller coaster this book took me on was a lot, but I enjoyed it. On to the next because this cliff hanger right here!
Those sisters are so childish and annoying to me, they kept saying they were spoiled but most of the book was them doing stupid childish stuff this book was like a teenage romance smh
