4 Damsel in Distress Stars ⭐
Sinful and Sweet was an erotic novella that was as decadent as the title implies. An age gap romance between a much older ex-military hero and his friend's much younger sister. I really liked the writing and could only wish that the story was longer; it was that good.
The man I used to have a highly inappropriate crush on is standing within touching distance and smouldering. Whatever it is, a long-buried part of me wants to tug my panties down and turn around.
During her sister's wedding, Anna finds out that her fiancé is a cheat. Amid a breakdown, Jack comes to her rescue. Since Jack has been lusting after Anna all evening, he is more than willing to stand in and be the man she needs.
Experienced, confident, dominant. He’s like a vintage whiskey; rough around the edges, smooth on the rocks, easy on the eyes, and I want another shot.
This story is literally told over one evening with a definite happy ending ~ wink wink~ and it was damn sexy! I think there is a follow up to their interlude and I can't wait.

Holy smokes, Jack’s the perfect man. If you don’t believe me, read it for yourself.
I haven’t swooned this much, this fast in a long time. He’s just so effortlessly sexy.
And Anna is indescribably clumsy in both physicality and thought. Her inner monologue is hilarious and she’s easily relatable.
Together they spark off the page, they’re chemistry undeniable. They have nothing in common; he’s an ex-marine and she’s a kindergarten teacher. Even the 23 year age gap is nothing. If it works it just works.
And kids this worked on every account. Totally ticked every single box. My only wish is for more.

4.5 stars - I started my day with this book and let me just say, that was a fantastic plan!
It opens to Anna's heart being broken by her cheating fiance. Although, the biggest heartbreak for her is likely the knowledge that her best friend of two decades is the other part of that equation. I like that she found a way to hold her head high and stick it to them. It's not out of malice but she is bolstered by the support offered by Jack "Jackie" Temple.
Then there is her teenage crush who comes back into her life at the moment he is most needed. It is perfect. I love the dirty thoughts and talk and actions that follow. SO HOT! 🔥🎉🔥
My only complaint is that we don't get to see them past a single day in time. I could've happily enjoyed another hundred pages of them!

Jack, 49 years old and a retired veteran is at his friend's wedding and is not enjoying himself. Well unless you count the beautiful Anna that he can't stop staring at. He most definitely wants to get her in his bed but she's engaged and in her 20s to his 40s. Off limits...right?
When Jack sees Anna crying and realizes she's been dumped he decides to take full advantage of this blessing and Anna is on board. Where will their night take them?
I've been kind of in a reading slump...not really sure what kind of romance I want to read and nothing really grabbing my attention. This was the perfect hot as hell novella that I needed. I wish this was a full length novel because I wanted more Jack and Anna. Skylark is a beautiful writer and this story, while short, flowed nicely with a lot of heat, a dash of angst and a romance that was passionate and sweet. I wouldn't be opposed to reading more about this wonderful couple.

Well this was certainly sweet and sinful! Often these quick novellas don’t have much story to them but I was pleasantly surprised with this one. The story started with Anna being heartbroken and with Jack watching on, falling hard and just wanting to step in and take Anna for himself.
Secretly Anna had fantasised about Jack for years believing he was only interested in her sister while secretly Jack had loved what he saw in Anna
She was a bit shy and self conscious but I didn’t think she’d reached her potential, she certainly hadn’t with her cheating ex but Jack brought her sexy out. And oh my Jack was all sexy and hotness. I love an age gap with a sexy, hot silver fox and throw in the tall, dark and handsome and Jack’s a lethal combination and with his sweet Anna by his side these two certainly were very sweet and sinful.

Wow! Where was Jackie whenever I've been dumped by a cheating ex? This was a sensual slow roll throughout the book with an explosion of fireworks to end. And you're left knowing that their story has only just begun.

Plenty of Sin, Just the Right Amount of Sweet
This short story packs in both the drama and the heat. A wedding, a pregnancy, a break-up and a white Knight in the form of a teenage fantasy returned all make for some dramatic and steamy action. I enjoyed the dual points-of-view, and I really enjoyed the spicy action. A great quick one-handed read.

I found myself hooked from the beginning to the end with the well developed storyline. The characters are engaging and well developed with plenty of chemistry throughout the pages.

She has had a crush on him for longer than that, but he has stayed away because he was 20 years older, good friends with her brother, and off-limits for both reasons. Jack puts her ex in his place, though the bum continues to reach out to her throughout the night. She accompanies Jack to his bar in Hell’s Kitchen where they spend a wild night dispelling any misgivings about their age difference. No wonder she doesn't answer her ex's calls. Sexy, sweet and romantic.

Loved this storyline it has all the right feels, poor Anna is at her sister wedding when the bomb is drop from her boyfriend. Distressed she flees and Jack follows. This is Insta attraction, sweet romance filled with drama, intrigue, passion and scandal. A fantastic read.

Sinful and Sweet, the latest erotic offering from Brianna Skylark, is certainly appropriately named, and on multiple levels at that!
Anna is dumped by her cheating fiancé on the dance floor at her sisters wedding. It's a gut-punch of an opener, but it isn't long before Anna's disastrous night takes a wild and deliriously sexy turn for the better. Also at the wedding is Jack, a 50-year-old ex-marine and the subject of 26-year-old Anna's intense teenage fantasies.
How intense? Well, as Anna explains, Jack is the man she had "romanticized and fantasised about so relentlessly my bed broke." Unfortunately, we don't get much in the way of insight about Anna's exuberant, bed destroying solo sessions, but something tells me that'd make for one hell of an 18+ prequel. For his part, Jack has been eyeing her delicious curves all night and, after catching her crying in the restroom, his protective instincts take over...along with some decidedly more primal urges as the two realize their sexual attraction is intensely mutual.

This is a short erotic story with an age gap theme. The story is very well written and easy to read with well developed characters that open themselves up to new possibilities. The couple did play the "we shouldn't do this game" for a while, but once they got past that things turned for the best. The story is fun and steamy and was fun to read as well. Overall, a very enjoyable story and look forward to more from this author.

Jack who has gotten out of the military after 3 tours and is now ready to settle down promised Kate he would be at her wedding, but when he sees Anna running from the dance floor he goes to investigate. Their crushes are revealed and their reunion is spicy as ever and so good! I wish that there was more to this story and what happened after.

🍸...Age-Gap... Damsel in Distress... Insta-Lust... Down & Dirty Satisfaction... Wicked Good Sex... Jack & Anna are combustible with each other in Brianna Skylark's "Sinful & Sweet." We get enough of a back story to know all the players and we then go right into the good stuff. This is the first time I read Brianna Skylark and it will not be my last! A very enjoyable read under 45 mins.

I had the privilege of reading an ARC of this short and steamy (actually, boiling) book, and I LOVED IT! The writing is so natural and raw. You feel that you are truly an invisible voyeur, listening to every sensual sound and word of the main characters, Anna and Jack. Anna was jilted by her fiancee. Thankfully she didn't have to suffer the pain and injustice for long, as Jack quickly swooped in and took her mind, and body, to a new and better plane of existence. Is there a sequel coming for Anna and Jack? I don't know, but I rather hope so! Great writing style with wri9tten emphasis where it's needed, so you don't miss an emotion or a nuance.

This overwhelms her causing her to run off the dance floor and when Jack sees Kate run off he goes to see what's going on. Jack finds her in the restroom crying and all of his protective instincts rise to the surface as well as red HOT desire. Anna had such a crush on Jack when she was a teenager he was her inspiration when she was flying solo. The chemistry between them is explosive. You really need to read this steamy, sexy, sweet age-gap romance to see what happens. I would definitely recommend reading this book.

This was a good read but not as good as I expected. I also wished there would be a HEA instead of a HFN. Or maybe a bonus chapter/epilogue? Also it felt like there were important details I was missing (like the story with Kate).

This is book one in the Silver Fox Romance series. We have hit the ground running with Jackie (Jack) and Anna's story. What appears to be your worse day can quickly transform into your best day. Neither one of these characters has forgetten crossing paths with the other ten years ago but time sure has changed things for the better in both their minds. Is forever in the cards for these two? This story is a perfect length with some page turning power. It is definitely a fast paced story that contains all the necessary steamy, sexy and sweet feelings that we all crave from romance book. Perfect for some 'me time' that we all need. Enjoy!

Very fast read. This is the first in a series of novellas about this couple, so it feels more like an extended chapter in a book. Not a complicated story. Kind of icked by the fact that the H was in a quasi relationship with the sister and you can tell that there is still definitely something there. Will not continue the series.

First book for me from this author and it was a fast read. I enjoyed the characters and the age/gap trope was written well. I would have liked an ending that was better and the situation with the ex was very strange but overall it was a good book. My only complaint is that everyone called the guy Jackie instead of Jack. That got very annoying very fast.
