From NY Times & USA Today bestselling author of the PERFECT CHEMISTRY series Simone Elkeles.

American Princess Amy is off to boot camp!

Guess who’s jetting off for the summer! Yes, it’s me—Amy Nelson. The boot camp brochure said it would be a “fun military” experience with my friends. Okay, so I didn’t sign up to prove I’m not a princess…I did it to surprise my hot boyfriend stationed at the same base. Too bad nobody told me that it’s hot in the desert…like, so hot your makeup melts off and you get under-bra sweat spots.ARMY LIFE

- You can’t sleep in until 11 a.m.

- You shouldn’t kill bees with your flatiron—don’t ask.

- Peeing in a hole isn’t easy (when you’re a girl)—double don’t ask.

When I find out our team leader is my boyfriend Avi, I’m totally psyched…until I learn he has to treat me like all the other recruits. Can you say WTF?!

Simone Elkeles is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of novels for teens. Simone’s books have won many awards including being YALSA Top Ten Quick Picks for Reluctant Young Adult Readers, being named to the YALSA Popular Paperbacks and Teens Top Ten lists, and added to the Illinois “Read for a Lifetime” Reading List. Simone also won the coveted RITA award from the Romance Writers of America for her book Perfect Chemistry. Simone is especially proud of the fact that the Illinois Association of Teachers of English named her Author of the Year.

Simone was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, where she still lives today. Simone went to the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and received her Bachelor’s of Science there in Psychology in 1992. She continued her education at Loyola University-Chicago where she received her Master’s of Science degree in Industrial Relations while working for a manufacturing company creating diversity programs for their employees.

She loves animals (she has two dogs – a labradoodle and a German Shepherd), kids (she also has two of those) and her family. In her spare time she’s the Hockey Mom for her kids hockey teams and is an active Girl Scout leader specially trained in outdoor education. She also spends time mentoring other teen and adult authors. (She also loves sushi, which you can probably tell by reading her books.) Simone writes about teens because she was a teen in the 80’s (when spiked hair and blue eye shadow were “rad”) and she loves writing about those exciting teen relationships and romances.

First of all this book is not a new book it just has an additional chapter at the end. It has a new name though and in the Amazon description it says nothing about it being another book renamed. If I had know I would not have bought it because I already own How to Ruin Your Boyfriends Reputation. I was excited this author had a new book and was very disappointed when I started reading it to find out I had read it before.

Second the bonus chapter was terrible. If that is really how the series ends it was one of the worst ways to do it that I can come up with. I would rather not have had that extended ending than have it end in the way it did. She either needs to release another free epilogue because I’m not spending money on this book a third time or she needs to write another book in the series because after reading three books about this couple they shouldn’t break up in that terrible way at the end.

I really like this authors other books but this one ended terribly and I wasted my money not knowing it’s just a reprint.

The book which is originally titled “How to Ruin My Boyfriend’s Reputation” I rated 5 stars.

I’m stunned. She can’t do us like that with the bonus chapter! I’ve waited 13 years for an update with these two and she ends it like that? There better be a follow up!

Don’t know why they are selling the book as almost a standalone when it’s the third book (but I guess it doesn’t really matter since I actually read this before the other two before knowing it was a series 😅 and it was fine)

I love this series I always wanted more of Avi and Amy. I loved the bonus chapter. It was good but I felt for Amy. I always rooted for them. Now it looks there’s gonna be more of Avi and Amy I can’t want I want so much more.

This was a good book, until the ending broke my heart. I didn’t know this was the last in the series until the end but even without reading the first two books I didn’t feel like I missed anything. Can’t wait to read more about Avi & Amy!

Holy Cow! That ending got me! Loved every minute though. Please, please, please have more of Ava and Amy Novllas! Or even a book! I will read whatever! Makes me want to reread the whole trilogy again! Loved it!

I love the how to ruin books, and I would be 100% down for more books with the main couple. But this is not the case, it’s just the same third book, with an uglier cover.

I remember reading this back in high school and I’ve never realized how bad the writing is.
