𝑯𝒊𝒔 𝒐𝒃𝒔𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒘𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒃𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒓𝒖𝒊𝒏.

There is no room for sweet or innocent in my world.
No room for mistakes or weaknesses.
My life was full of darkness, greed and corruption.
Blood was spilled as easily as water, and life taken without much thought.

I made a vow to my sister that the people who harmed her all those years ago would pay, and the only currency I would accept was their lives.

𝑼𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒍 𝒔𝒉𝒆 𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒅.

She didn't belong here, a light in the dark, a flower growing on a battlefield.
Her sweet nature was like a beacon for my depraved heart, and I knew going anywhere near her would be her damnation.
But there's something about her, it calls to me and it's not long before her siren song snares me.

I would have her.
I would keep her.

She's wise to be scared of me for I'm not the hero in her story...
I'm the villain.

I'm the very man who will corrupt her.
But I'm going to take her anyway.

I am OBSESSED with Ria Wilde and her mafia stories. I devoured 3 books in two days and I can not get enough. Kingston and Eleanor were pure fire. I loved how dark and alpha he was and how Eleanor loved him because of it. This story continues the storyline of Wren and Alexander's series but is a true standalone. Now I can't wait for Isobel and Hunter's story. 4.5 stars! ~Ratula

4.5/5⭐️ 4/5🌶

This book had me on the edge of my seat the entire time and I cursed the fact that I need to work for a living instead of spending my day reading.

We meet Kingston in Twisted King (Twisted Duet). Him and his sister Isobel are terrifyingly beautiful sociopaths but the reason behind it is so heartbreaking. This is kind of a continuation from the Twisted Duet so for better enjoyment, I'd suggest starting there to get more background information but this technically can be read as a standalone.

Kingston is a dirty talking criminal enterprise boss (who also owns multiple legit business AND a sex club) with a British accent (story is set in UK so duh). Eleanor catches his attention and it's basically a chase from that moment on. She's the naive good girl to his bad boy. They're having to work together and find mixing business with pleasure is not a good idea but it feels sooo good in the moment. He unlocks a whole new world of pleasure for our girl and she becomes the complication he didn't see coming. Eleanor did do something towards the end that frustrated me but I quickly got over it when I had to remind myself she's not a criminal mastermind lol.

*𝑻𝒊𝒏𝒚 𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒊𝒍𝒆𝒓* there was a character death that had me stunned to speak for a few moments after reading it, I had hoped for this character to get their story told eventually but alas, not meant to be.

I would strongly recommend checking trigger warnings before starting this book. It deals with heavy topics (not necessarily on page) including s-x trafficking, murd3r, tortur3 etc.

Words escape me. I just finished Wicked Heart not ten minutes ago, and I don't know that I could ever properly describe what this book did to me. In the very best possible way, of course.

Kingston is everything and more. His longing to give Eleanor anything she desires is just one of many reasons why this man is one in a million.
Possessive
Tattooed
Dangerous
Voyeur
Pierced
Dirty talker

I could go on and on, but you get the point, here. Kingston is top tier.

This story literally had me sitting still for three plus hours because I could barely turn away from it.
The plot twists, (one very loveable character's valiant demise), among plenty of other twists and turns had me needing way more even after I finished reading.

I adore Ria's work already, and I am insanely excited to get right into Savage Heart. A literal masterpiece! I have high hopes for everything else she writes <3

Wicked Heart de Ria Wilde serie Wreck & Ruin libro 1

Argumento:

“His obsession would be her ruin”

5/5 ⭐️ 3.75/5🔥
STEAM: 4/5🌶

Kingston Heart is the Heart of London, he is out to protect the one person in the world that he adores and that’s his sister but he meets Eleanor, there instant attraction and lust for each other was just that but ATLAS, the Heart of London has other plans for her.. he uses her to his own advantage. King is out for revenge for his sister Isobel and the amazing spice/steam and the twisted turns of events!! El is afraid for her best friend Tate who has disappeared and crosses paths with King. There is so much unfolding that it grips you in a way that makes it all fuzzy and throbbing in the right places.

I won’t be posting TW/CW, I feel like this is something you need to go into blind. If you’ve read Twisted City Duet then you have an idea of it but LORD, it’s SPICER, SMUTTY, AND THE EVENTS taken place is to DIE FOR. I am biased though bc Ria is my MAIN 🥰😍🥺

💛Stalker vibes
🖤Organized Crime
💛Good girl/Bad guy
🖤Revenge Plot

This Series can be read as a standalone, however the plot is left at a slight cliffhanger. This couple does have a HEA.

I just knew I was going to love Kingston from the small amount in twisted king. That man is everything! I really enjoyed this, i was worried Eleanor was going to be quite timid but she definitely grew to show that stronger side. I loved them together and how she brought out his softer side! The ending had me SOBBING, I mean ace!! But did the poor man do to deserve that 🫠😂 the scene between them was so so good!!

Sex club ✔️
Hot sex ✔️
Spur of the moment threesome because the guy gives the girl what she wants ✔️✔️

Shit. I feel bad with this but hear me out. I feel like this was a filler novel of sorts. Like the plot was there but then it ends. I loved Kingston. I loved that Eleanor was too good for him but she loved him anyways. But with that being said we never got their big declaration of love. When I finished it I was like wait that isn’t the end. There wasn’t more? I mean Lex/Wren got a duet I thought for sure the next was a continuation of the two of them. Sadly it’s not. I wanted more. I guess this one just missed the mark for me. Also. I was not okay with ace dying, that shit hurt.

Tate, Eleanor’s friend and roommate goes missing.
Kingston is getting vengeance for his sister who was abducted into the sex trafficking ring (her uncle sold her. King killed the uncle)
He owns a sex club.
King is going after the syndicate and he enlists Eleanor to help him since she works in Tobias and Garrets building and has access to him. She agrees and then of course the sex between them starts happening.
King gets attached and doesn’t want her to help. A war basically happens king fakes his death
She gets taken and when he shows up and she was like wait I thought you were dead he’s like surprise love.
Ace jumps in front of a bullet to save king.
Eleanor basically moves in with king and Tate is alive.
And then the end.
Oh and his sister goes after a guy named hunter.

Sexy dark romance? CHECK.
Tattooed, pierced and possessive alpha male? CHECK!
British English? CHECK!!

When Kingston was introduced in the Twisted City duet (also phenomenal.. go read that too) I immediately messaged a friend saying how badly I NEEDED the spin of for him.

Ria did not let me down.

While you do not need to read the Twisted City duet, this can be read as a standalone, personally I think you should.

Eleanor does not belong in his dark life, she is light and sweet. The opposite of him. But we all know how wonderfully opposites attract!

This is a very steamy read, Ria Wilde definitely knows how to write both story and spice.

I cannot wait for the next book!!!

It’s thrilling when you have the chance to read a new-to-me author. Especially when having the opportunity to listen to the narration while reading along.

Wicked Heart is a dark contemporary romance that touches on corruption, trafficking, and revenge. If you have a taste for any of these topics, then get ready for some violence mixed with a healthy dose of steam and angst. The tension between the two main characters is pure fire and the author offered up all the key elements I enjoy reading in a dark romance.

I have nothing but praise to offer @james_joseph_audio and @zara_hamptonbrown . Their performance was all-around seamless and I don't think anyone could have brought these characters to life the way they did. James and Zara executed each character's personality so well. Not to mention the sexual energy that matched Kingston and Eleanor's attraction for one another. They had me hanging on to every single word. This was my first time listening to their work and most definitely won't be my last.

I listened to this book on audio and I loved the narrators but I wasn’t a fan of the characters I think. I loved the spice, the romance was ok overall and I am typically a fan of her books but this didn’t make me love it so idk if I’ll listen again, but I do want the next book in the universe so I’ll borrow it too! I’m also more curious about where the series will go so I’ll have to see if the next book is tied into this or not…. I should stop diving in the deep end of book swimming pools. Lolol

Sizzling hot!

Ria is fast becoming one of my favourite mafia romance authors. I originally received this book as an ARC and then I bought it, that's how much I loved the story. Mafia King meets innocent stubborn woman. The chemistry, passion, relationship dynamic between Kingston and Eleanor was on fire.
Although Wicked Heart can be read as a standalone, I recommend reading the Twisted Duet books first where Kingston is first introduced.

TITLE: WICKED HEART 💼🖥️📍
⭐️Who has a wicked heart? Kingston? Pssh.

⭐️Nope. Absolutely did not vibe with this title.

STORY AS A WHOLE:
⭐️This was by far the worst book I've read recently, the plot was awfully layered, the characters were whisy-washy Eleanor and most of all, the romance literally gave me a stomachache.

They get ripped from you as punishment for all the misdeeds. Why should a sinner get a saint after all?

⭐️It started of relatively a mid-read but from then onwards, the quality of the story just kept going down and down.

⭐️The scenes were so not cohesive, they were so over the place jumping from thier romane and the Syndicate business that you really couldn't appreciate either. Like are you telling me that one chapter you are literally on edge about carrying out your plan on bugging Tobias' computer the literal next chapter is you whisking off your girlfriend to Crimson so that you hang out with Ace?! And to add on to that, the next chapter is them going back to the bugging thing, like wow, me as a reader, I was getting whishplashed.

ELEANOR
🩷Wow, did she drop her spine during the writing of this story, because it was QUITE LITERALLY nonexistent.

🩷I didn't know if it was the sudden change in female lead personality coming from Wren's badass one to this little bunny's. But I absolutely abhored her and all her actions

🩷Let's try to list all the stupid, dumb and completely smack-worthy things she has done:
1. Not get the hint when the PI's were literlaly warning against her for sticking her nose in a business she is clearly not made for. Like how she survived all these years with this rose-coloured glasses, I have no clue.

2. How does one work with a man for YEARS, have deep scope into his meetings, his full day schedule and still doesn't pick up on the slightest of hints, it's a miracle that she even picked up on the hint that Tate was missing and that it wasn't her that was messaging her. The only smart thing, I would say, she did in the entirety of the book

His eyes narrow, “is there something you want to tell me?”
My heart leaps into my throat, what did he know? “I don’t think so.”

3. Not to metion, how she freaks out but still wants to play spy? Like gurll. Make up a bloody lie, I don't you have zero brains in your body that you can't think of an excuse as to why you are in his office? You are his bloody personal assistant! You are supposed to know more about himself, how to deal with him, the things to say to get him to not be suspicious of you. But Ms. Sunshines and rainbow lets her fear and panic show on her face and couldn't even do one job without messing it up for everyone.

4. If she notices that Tobias is being cryptic, shouldn't she have even the slightest worry that he may have been on to her? Like usually she is so paranoid, but when she needs to be and express her doubts to Kingston, she zips her mouth like the idiot she is.

5. If a guy tells you to bloody run as you watch him-the death you brought to his doorstep-Do you run? No! And like the coward she was, she ran. Loser is what I wanted to scream to her face

“You talk like you expect to drop dead tomorrow.”
“Not drop dead,” he replies, “But die nonetheless.”
A silence as heavy as lead falls between us.
“Learn, Eleanor,” he says, “Learn how to protect yourself in the event one of us can’t be here to save you.”
“I’m no damsel.” I whisper.
“Aren’t you?”

6. You didn't think there will be more? Well you are wrong, most of this review will be me expressing my hate to this female leads that is the epitome of weakness. Like I'm sorry to say Kingston, but you saw what amazing couple Wren and Lex made how Wren was both his weakness and strength, and he turns around and chooses this damsel in distress.

I push on him, but he doesn’t move, and I give up, slumping onto the wall with a huff, “Just kidnap me at this point, I’m tired.”

7. When I read that she was going to get self-defence lessons, I was like "ok, maybe we'll see this deer do some damage" But boy was I wrong. She goes up to Tobias, begging to killed. Like wow girl, you got this close but couldn't even nick him? What a record.

KINGSTON
🖤I don't know why but his name is too much, especially after coming from Lex who never stopped calling himself king and now to this male lead who is quite literally called it. Nope. Couldn't vibe with it.

🖤I liked him more in "Twisted King" then here. Like where was his charm? His blood-thirsty-ness? Where was a cold-blooded killer that was smart enough to evade everyone about his identity for YEARS. Reign over the city for YEARS. Because all I saw was a man easily distracted by a woman and someone whose sister was the brains and he was just lucky one with resources.

Those who hurt my sister are about to pay and the only currency I’ll accept is blood.

🖤Like what do you mean it's taking you 6 months to get to the bottom. And can't plan for shit. Like how are you powerful when you have no planning skills, no ruthlessness and absolutely no "wickedness"

🖤Isobel was more wicked

ELEANOR x KINGSTON
“Now, come on, love,” he leans in, whispering against the shell of my ear, “I don’t bite.”
Lie. He bites. He definitely bites.

🩷Worst couple.

🖤One likes to watch and the other wants an open relationship. Period.

“Run, Eleanor,” King shouts behind me, accompanied by a deep laugh,
“run.”

🩷No chemistry, cringey scenes together and forced feelings that seemed to have switched on rather than have developed.

I spit into the sink and then wash my mouth out with water, plopping
the bright pink toothbrush back into the holder. Her eyes widen, “is that my
toothbrush!?”

🖤Like hmmm. The switch in their personalities, from hating, being complete strangers, not trusting each other to sharing toothbrush and ready to give up all his plans and mission for her. Not into this flow.

Ace watches her with barely restrained lust.
It makes me want to kill him, and yet I understand. And I know it’s all it is. Lust.

🩷Had to literally hold my stomach in for the whole scene with Ace, Eleanor and Kingston, like ew, I did not sign up for this? Where was the warning for this at the start of the story? Like sorry, but I don't like my book male leads to be WILLING TO SHARE their love of their lives.

🖤And why was Ace just making out with Eleanor and Kingston was just watching. OMG. I want to erase that from my memory. Absolute trash chapter. Should've explicitly mentioned about the sharing bit because that will NEVER sit right with me.

“What do you want Kingston? I’m tired.”
Leave now. The warning rings clear, yet my legs carry me forward. She watches me the entire time, and without hesitation, she lifts the blankets on the other side of the bed, moving over slightly to allow room for another person. To allow room for me.

🩷Ok. This scene was actually pretty cute. Like how they were magnets, opposites being attracted to one another.

I was her damnation, but she was my salvation.
It wouldn’t end well.

🖤Pretty accurate. Nice that he acknowledged that he wouldn’t be the one to change for them to become together. It would be her. She would need to be stained and get her hands dirty for her to not only be acknowledged into his world but to stay alive in it.

“Hello, love,” he growls.

🩷This scene looks SO good in my head. Like him twisting the knife into the guy’s neck and showing up infront of her after being “dead” and just some nice dark scene. Something I wish we could’ve seen more of. I had the Klaus accent in my head whenever he said “love” It would’ve been nice if it didn’t seem forced to me.

OTHER
“She told me, but then you know Isobel, she always has a woman’s back, regardless.”

⭐️The only character I liked was Isobel and Ace poor dead man

I wasn’t fond of being spoken about like I wasn’t here, but I stayed quiet. I felt more than saw Isobel slide up to me. Her hand lands on my shoulder, not hard at all, a comfort. She gives me a squeeze before she leans down and whispers, “Men will always believe women need to be cared for, show them that that is not the case.”

⭐️I’m actually excited for her book. I love myself a good soulmates with a past trope.

🖤 THE RANKING FOR THE MALE LEADS: 🖤
1. Alexander
2. Kingston (nope. Can’t ignore the whole sharing part)

🩷 THE RANKING FOR THE FEMALE LEADS: 🩷
1. Wren (better personality. Actually had fire to fight back her kidnapper and did some solid damage)
2. Isobel (love a psycho girl)
3. Eleanor (maybe grow a backbone. Next time, don’t just panic if someone breaks into your house more than once, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!)

🖤 THE RANKING FOR THE COUPLES: 🩷
1. Wren x Lex (more fire, healthier relationship)
2. Eleanor x Kingston (No. Just no.)

3.5 ⭐️

“I was her damnation, but she was my
salvation.
It wouldn't end well.”

I was not expecting to like this book. I didn’t have much expections since it’s my first time reading this author’s work.
A duo POV of Kingston and Eleanor which is about ML involving FL into his search of his enemies….
His sister,Isobel, has been sold into a trafficking and thus, he wanted to get back…(she grew in me).
When it comes to Eleanor, he was attracted to her but also liked the way she trembled/fears him whenever he was around…. With little stalking and pushover ‘convincing’, they both fell in love with each other.
From Kingston’s pOV, we see that he knew that he is bad for her and will put her in danger but:
*I was not a good man. Not a kind man.
But with her, I could try to be something
more.
Even if it left all else in ruin.*

In the other hand, one day, Eleanor realizes that her roommate has disappeared and that the authorities weren’t doing shit and so when she tries to take matters in her own hands, Kingston comes into the picture…
I like the bickering between Kingston and Eleanor.
The smut was really good.

Love was a weakness and a salvation.
But life was no fairy-tale and there would be no happily ever after.
So, I'll continue to wreck and ruin because it's the only thing I know how to do. It's the only thing I am good at. Chaos was my foundation and revenge my path.
-
Why fear damnation, love, when
damnation can feel so good.

TW: trafficking: sexual content; voyeurism; MMF; murder; gun violence; death of a friend; trauma

I am in love with this book! Psycho antihero, mafia vibes, stalker tendencies, jealous, possessive, with a deviant charm that you can’t deny… what is there not to love?! Kingston is one of my absolute favorite book boyfriends. He is dark and depraved, with this charming playful side that I could not resist. He is determined to destroy those in his path, and nothing will stand in his way.

The SPICE in this book was on 👏🏻 point 👏🏻

Did I have to pause to look up a piercing? Yup. Was it worth it? You bet your smut loving heart it was 🔥

Eleanor was the perfect match for Kingston. She is strong and determined to find answers and will always go out of her way to help those she can. She doesn’t blindly accept what she’s told and I love that she was sweet, yet not a doormat. She was relatable and some of her reactions had me laughing out loud.

Kingston and Eleanor were perfect together, and I absolutely recommend their story. Excellent all-the-stars read and one that has made this author a must-read for me.

“My name is Kingston Heart, you can call me King.”

This brand new release is without a shadow of a doubt my favorite read of 2022! I could not put it down. Kingston and Eleanor are night and day but they just work! She's the good girl, the quiet type who curls up with a good book, whereas he's the alpha, the man covered in tattoos spilling blood and thriving in the world of corruption. When thier worlds collide its only going to end in one way.

Ria absolutely killed this. I think we were all dying for a bit of Kingston since his brief introduction in Twisted King and she did not disappoint!!
This book is haaaaawt!!! it may be MF romance but they doesn't stop the MMF, voyeurism and much more 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I won't spoil this read for you but I will say this.. This has been the first book in a while which has had me praying, overjoyed and devistated all within a few chapters. ♥️

Cannot wait for book 2 coming June 2022 😍

We meet Kingston in the Twisted Duet. King and his sister Isobel are sociopaths due to devastating reasons. The overall plot is a continuation from the Twisted Duet, highly suggest you read those first. In this book you meet Eleanor who catches the tension of King. They’re were having to work together to take down a secret organization. I’m excited to read Isobel‘s book which comes out in June.

So Good!

Possible Spoilers

After reading Little Bird and Twisted King I had to jump into Wicked Heart and boy did it deliver. Loved all three books.

Really enjoyed the characters and the growth of the characters and just how real they felt. But the ending was rough and I’m still working through it 😭

This is an ARC review

Well, holy crap Ria Wilde has delivered an amazing follow-up to the Twisted City Duet. This is not part of that series but a whole new one, however, they are linked because we met the main characters in Twisted City duet and those characters are mentioned throughout Wicked Heart. You do not have to have read either of the books from the duet but I recommend it because 1 they were really good and 2 it will add a little depth to parts of this story you may otherwise not get.

This is a dark romance/mafia trope with enemies to lovers for the main characters. There is plenty of suspense that had me on the edge and the chemistry between the two is enough to have you feeling hot and bothered. Honestly, Kingston is enough to get you hot and bothered all on his own. There is no cliff-hanger for this one but the overlying story arch isn't completed, we will get more in book 2. Told in dual POV I really enjoyed getting both characters' perspectives on the events and their relationship.

I highly recommend this one if you enjoy dark/mafia romance. You won't be disappointed.

'Me pushing, her pulling, and me breaking every time. It hadn't taken much to break me again and like her, I can't deny it. There's a rope tethered between us and no matter how much either of us try to pull, it only snaps tight and springs us back together. I was her damnation, but she was my salvation. It wouldn't end well.'

After returning to London after helping the Silver's in America, they may have chased the Syndicate out of their city but Kingston wants to do more than that, he plans to shut them down from the top. After what they did to Isabelle nothing less than the end of them will satisfy them. With the information the Silver's shared with him he can finally put his plan into action.

Eleanor is scared, something is going on, her best friend has disappeared and her boyfriend who is also her boss's son assures her that she is fine but Eleanor can't help but feel he's lying. The problem is everyone she talks to tells her to let it go. She never thought much about her boss and his son but some things are just not adding up.

When King arrives at Tobias Franco's office for a meeting Eleanor greets him as Franco's secretary and he eats her up with his eyes even teases her a little. After their meeting he finds himself continuing to think of her and when he finds out that she is asking the wrong questions about her boss he decides that he could use her to his advantage. If she spies on Tobias for him he'll do his best to get her friend back. Honestly, he has no idea if she is even still alive knowing Tobias and his son the chances aren't great but he will try.

King becomes obsessed with Eleanor, pushing her buttons, pushing her boundaries, and driving her crazy. Every time he pulls her in he pushes her away just as hard. It comes to the point he can't deny that she is more than a tool to use as a spy or for sex. She has become his.

But when Tobias discovers that Eleanor has been working with Kingston he uses her friend's freedom against her and Eleanor does the unthinkable and betrays King. In the fight that ensues King is injured and Eleanor is forced to run. Since she has already lost so much she decides she has nothing left to lose and plans to end Tobias herself.

Alone and not strong enough to carry out her plan Eleanor is in danger. With King gone will there be any chance that she will survive?

Happy Reading.

📚 “Her fear of me turns her on. I know it. It would be such a fun game to play.” 📚

Holy mother of gawd, this book is the book everyone needs to read! While I try to get my thoughts in order here are some delicious things that are found within the pages:

* obsession/stalker vibes
* pierced 🍆 (what can I say, it’s a selling point for me)
* good girl/bad guy vibes
* tattooed anti-hero
* organized crime
* cat & mouse games
* sex club
* push & pull relationship
* voyeurism
* amazing side characters
* TOP TIER SMUT
* family in everything but blood

📚 “How was I to stay away when I craved her this fucking badly? How was I to let her go when everything inside my body screamed to be at her side. To have her at my side, in my house, my bed, protected and safe.” 📚

⚠️There’s going to be spoilers ahead so if you wanna avoid them - you have been warned. Not sure how to express my love for this book without spilling all my thoughts 🤷🏼‍♀️⚠️

This book started out a little iffy for me. It took me a chapter or two to really get into it & understand what was going on but once I got into it, i was all in. King is one hell of an anti-hero who in all reality was put into a sh*tty situation & didn’t really have any other option than to become who he is today. As he’s walking to the front desk to attend a meeting, he meets Eleanor. Eleanor is just this typical girl working in the office for some boss who isn’t a great guy (who king is looking for information on). Turns out, her best friend/roommate is missing & she figures it out the same day she meets King. So, of course, king offers her a deal - I’ll help you if you help me.

Throughout the entire book we see king & El form this one of a kind relationship all while trying to get what they both are looking for. King wants to cut the snake off at the head & El wants to find her best friend. While that is going on, King bows down & admits his “weakness” of having feelings for her while El grows a pretty impressive backbone & finally admits that the feelings she feels king are worth having, but there are definitely some moments where I couldn’t help but asking “wtf are you doing woman!?”. I love the pet names El gets, “love”& “little one” are adorable & fit her very well, but when “baby” comes out, oh man there’s something sexy about him slipping up like that. King shows her how to explore, crave, & beg for her sexual feelings. & let me tell you, the threesome scene IS TO DIE FOR! Very well done, respectful, & f*ckin hotttttt. When I saw who King invited in, I was fist pumping into the air, squealing like a school girl. I was so happy that he was who joined. I think I loved Ace more than King honestly. But, this book is by far one of the hottest books I’ve read. It’s not full of scenes but the scenes are delicious & very. well. done! The ending was curve ball after curve ball. I was shocked, pissed, in awe, & so very upset when it was all over. This is definitely a book I will keep re-reading.
