The Maine Attraction

Rate this book
Ramsey Price has it all: her dream job as a history museum archivist, a rowhouse in Philadelphia with her favorite brother, Sean, and to top it off, a steady relationship with the most eligible bachelor in the city. But when a dinner with her boyfriend doesn’t go as planned, she ends up single and consequently dateless to Sean’s upcoming wedding in their hometown in Maine. As if things aren’t bad enough, her brother asks his best friend to drive her to Portland when work delays his trip.

Since her first semester in college, Ramsey has despised Nico Giovanni. His unspoken rejection and standoffishness have never been addressed and now that she lives in Philadelphia, his stomping grounds, she’s forced to see him regularly. But Ramsey refuses to let Nico win, so she reluctantly agrees to the road trip with him.

Not wanting to deal with her six brothers’ relentless teasing or succumb to her mother fixing her up with one of her friends’ sons now that she’s single, she lies and says she’s dating Nico to get them off her back.

Surprisingly, Nico agrees to be her boyfriend for the five-day-long weekend. As each day passes, she realizes Nico might not be the same guy he was in college and worse, the feelings she thought she’d buried for him years ago are alive and well. Before she knows it, the line between what is fake and what is real is blurred and she’s not sure she can survive if Nico breaks her heart a second time.

Storytelling is in Morgan Gauthier’s blood; She can’t seem to turn her brain off at night and some of her best ideas have come to her in the shower.

Born to two book-loving parents, Morgan was raised on a healthy diet of The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Nancy Drew, and any fantasy book she could get her hands on. She started writing her own stories at eleven years old and hasn’t looked back.

Wolves of Adalore was her first self-published YA Fantasy title and since then, she has published a Contemporary Romance (Aloha, Seattle) with the second YA Fantasy installment in the Mark of the Hunter Trilogy (The Red Maiden) coming in April of 2022.

Morgan Gauthier lives in East Tennessee with her husband and best friend, Brad, with their three children, Remi, Archer, and Roux (who are 4 years old and younger!). If five people wreaking havoc in the same house wasn’t enough, Morgan also has three dogs, Potter, Skye, and Bubba, and one grumpy bird named Titus.

If Morgan isn’t writing or reading, she can be found binge watching Netflix shows, attempting to cook like Gordon Ramsay (not even close to his level), and practicing archery.

Ramsey has a workaholic boyfriend. Well, had. After having enough, she focuses on the week ahead of her: hours stuck in a car with her enemy, then dealing with her overbearing, nosy family.

Why did she tell them Nico was her new boyfriend? And why is everyone congratulating her?

If you don't understand the concept of a "book boyfriend" you will for sure after knowing Nico. He's one of the highlights of the book. And the constant banter between him and Ramsey makes the reading so much fun. Thank God I read it at home, otherwise, people would stare at me constantly reacting to the book!

If you like romances this book has so many troupes (and they work wonderfully together), you have to give it a read!

4.5 stars for me!

I loved reading this book! If you love one bed tropes and enemies to lovers this one’s for you! I really liked Ramsey and Nico’s bantering throughout the novel as well as their love-hate relationship. From the first chapter of this book I was hooked. Not once was I bored or wanted to stop reading. It was the perfect rom-com. It wasn’t overly cheesy but it also was hilarious at times. Nico Giovanni is officially one of my favorite book boyfriends. I loved how the chapters changed POV so I could read about his inner thoughts and how he thought about Ramsey was just so sweet. I do however wish it was written in first person. After a couple chapters I got used to it being in third person but I personally always prefer first person when it comes to romance. Other than that no complaints and I can’t wait to read more by Morgan Gauthier!!!!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5

𝙁𝙪𝙡𝙡 𝙍𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙬:
This was such a fun, cute contemporary romance with so many of my favorite tropes. It’s the perfect light, swoony summer read and I absolutely recommend adding this to your TBR!

Ramsey is the only daughter among 6 rambunctious brothers. When the family gathers for her brother’s wedding, she comes face to face with her unrequited college crush—her brother’s best friend, Nico. Ramsey is newly single and her mom keeps trying to set her up, so naturally Ramsey does the only logical thing by telling her mom that she’s dating Nico 😂 a hilarious weekend of fake dating and competitive banter ensues, surrounded by a large family dynamic that loves to poke and prod.

This is a shorter read but I loved every second of it! You’ll love this book if you enjoy:

✨Fake dating
✨Enemies to lovers
✨Banter
✨Dual POV
✨It’s always been you

I need everybody to just stop for a second and take a deep breath - in and out - okay, wow! I have so many thoughts on this book, y’all.
😱
This was my first Morgan Gauthier read and I think we need to be friends. No seriously, Morgan, slide into my DMs, girl. I’m not being a creepy fangirl AT ALL.
😎
Okay, I guess I should start with the tropes. Y’all know I love me a good romcom and this one has some delicious tropes: forced proximity, ONLY ONE BED, fake dating, enemies to lovers… and oh, the banter! *SWOON* I loved the banter!
👏🏻
If you’re a fan of Emily Henry and Katherine Center, you need to read this book. Every character came to life for me and especially our MMC, Nico. He was the most Nick Miller-esque character I have found in a book! I don’t know if Morgan did this on purpose, but there are so many Nick|Nico similarities that I could not separate them in my mind. He’s a bartender. He’s never short of witty comebacks. He’s a soft hearted pile of mush on the inside. He’s got dark hair & brown eyes… seriously, my brain would not stop drawing parallels. Nico’s interaction with a rude woman in his bar early in the story was one of the grumpiest “Nick Miller” moments in the world. I laughed OUT LOUD! Y’all this book is AVAILABLE NOW, so get your eyes on a copy.
👌🏻
The Maine Attraction is the first in a new trilogy of contemporary romances from @authormorgangauthier and I will definitely be reading the second one because I can’t wait to hear more from Poppy. She was my favorite side character, for sure!
🙌🏻
Morgan, if you’re reading this and you did not intentionally write a MMC with so many things in common with my absolute favorite TV character, then this is me, holding a boombox outside your bedroom window, begging you to do so.

Do you love a great romantic comedy that has the elements of a secret romance, communication issues and fake dating? Then you MUST pick up this book. The story was everything I needed and didn't know that I wanted. I am usually a fantasy reader. When Morgan asked if I would like to read this book, I jumped at the chance and man am I glad that I did.

The story follows Ramsey who is the only daughter in a family with 6 brothers. They are overprotective and all around jerks at times. Ramsey meets a boy at college on her first day who helps her when she is lost. Ramsey is smitten and falls head over heels for Nico. The problem......he is Ramsey's brother, Sean's best friend. Sean warns all his friends away from Ramsey...She is OFF LIMITS! Years later, Ramsey and Nico have a very contentious relationship. Things happen and they have to pretend to be in a relationship for Ramsey's family sake at her brother wedding... The antics that happen make this an amazing story.

I absolutely adored this story. The banter between Nico and Ramsey had me rolling while reading. I laughed so dang hard at this book. If you are in the mood for an amazing comedic read with hints of slow burn romance, pick this book up. It is a wonderful book to get you out of a slump. I give this fantastic book 5 stars!!!

Nico is straight fire.
Being friends with Morgan is incredible, but do you know what’s better? The fact that having author friends allows you a sneak peek into their WIPS.
Morgan blessed my eyes with this book and I’ll be honest. I am absolutely a hoe for Theo in Aloha, Seattle.
Theo will always be my top man in Morgan’s books, but let me tell you… NICOOOOOO! Nico Nico Nico. He’s. Yeah he’s fucking amazing. I would do almost anything for this man.

As a hardcore smut reader myself, I’ll note that this is not smutty in the sense that it’s got descriptive sex. That’s not the case. It’s got lots of tension and that is enough for me because the story is incredible, and I don’t say that often.
When this book comes out, please run, don’t walk to read it.

The premise was cute for this book, and I loved how many similarities there were to the movie The Proposal, including a wedding weekend, fake dating, and hate to love. The plot held my attention, and I found myself rooting for the romance. There were some things that took me out of the story though: info dumping, way too many side characters (Ramsey's family was just too big), questionable character choices that didn't make sense to me, cringy writing at times, and a third act that fell flat. However, most of these things I could look over and still enjoy the story.

Writing Aesthetic/Style: 3
Plot/Movement: 3
Character Development: 3
Overall: 3

The Maine Attraction is a sweet, contemporary romance featuring Ramsey Price and Nicolas (Nico) Giovanni.

Ramsey comes from a large family. She is youngest of 7 kids, and she is the only girl. She is closest with her brother Sean, and lives with him in his rowhouse in Philadelphia. She has a job that she adores as a history museum archivist. She's also dating the city's most eligible bachelor - a very attractive and successful lawyer. Life is good. And then it isn't.

Her boyfriend has 2 dozen roses delivered promising a dinner she would never forget. She anticipates a proposal, only to learn that this evening is all about him, and celebrating becoming a partner at his firm. She's had enough of coming second, having too many canceled plans due to his work, and breaks it off.

Soon thereafter she learns that Sean's departure from Philly to Maine for his wedding is delayed due to his job, so he can't drive her there as originally planned. This wouldn't be a big deal except that she promised her mother that she's be there to assist and disappointing her mother is not an option. Sean however arranged to have his college roommate and best friend of 10 years drive her. Thoughtful? Maybe not.

Nico met Ramsey on her first day of college. He was complete taken with her and planned to ask her out, until he found out she was Sean's baby sister. Sean had warned his friends that his sister was off limits, and so respecting his relationship with Sean, he pushed his feelings for her aside. Ramsey had been equally taken with him, and tried repeatedly to befriend him, asking him out, but he always declined. What had resulted was an adversarial relationship between them. Whenever Ramsey and Nico were together, they bickered, called each other names, and tried to get under their skin. It became a game between them - make the other more uncomfortable and back away.

The idea of being stuck in a car for 7+ hours with Nico was not appealing to Ramsey. Nico however was looking forward to spending that time with her, alone, as his feelings for her never changed.

This was such a fun and well written enemies to lovers story with forced proximity, fake dating and one bed tropes. I loved their banter and how they pushed each others' buttons at every opportunity. They have an engaging dynamic and witty comebacks.

I've loved Gauthier's fantasy writing, and now I know I love her rom coms too. I look forward to checking out the next book in the Philadelphia Chronicles Trilogy.

This was such a delightful read, with fun characters and one of my favourite tropes (fake dating)! This one was a 3.5 for me.

There will be a full review to come soon!

EDIT:

The Maine Attraction was such a fun read. I can be very picky with romance novels and this one definitely checked all my boxes. Pining? Check. Witty banter? Check. Fake dating? Check!

I loved the premise for this novel. There is so much fun to have with a rivalry that is shown through witty banter. Especially in a novel which is written from the point of views of both the main character and her love interest. Knowing more than the both of them while I read was a lot of fun. I also really enjoyed comedic elements of this novel, mostly surrounding the already mentioned banter, and the fake dating element.

I did find though that the epilogue, rather abruptly, brought me out of the story. I was really happy with how the last chapter ended and the epilogue brought forward events I was under the impression the main character was only looking for because she felt pressure from family and society. So for Ramsey, who is such a strong female character, to give in to something like that so quickly, it felt out of character for Ramsey to me. (In saying this, I could just be very out of touch with the conventions of this genre, in thinking that the conclusion to the last chapter before the epilogue was enough.)

Last paragraph aside, there really is so much to love about this novel. I loved the narration, especially Ramsey’s. I really enjoyed getting to know her character. Ramsey’s best friend and colleague Poppy was an absolute delight as well, and she quickly became my favourite character in this whole novel. I know she wasn’t the main character, but I do wish I had read more of her. She is great!

Pick this one up if you are looking for a sweet romance with a fun story line, and with a lot of witty banter in the form of terrible (wonderful) nicknames.

Thank you to the author and Equality Book Tours for sending me a copy of the book to review.
I’m not a fan of contemporary romance, but the blurb intrigued me, and I simply had to read it. And I loved this so much.

This book deals with every one of my favourite tropes:
--> Enemies to Lovers
--> Fake Dating
--> Witty Banter
--> Forced Proximity

Ramsey, the youngest with seven brothers, has been raised to be independent and fearless. She’s not scared to tell the truth, stand up for beliefs and protect those she loves. Her favourite brother, Sean is getting married, but she ends up without a date to the wedding. She ends up travelling to Maine on the road with Niko.

Ramsey and Nico met for the first time in college. They were both attracted to each other but Nico stayed away because Sean was his best friend and roommate. They met each other again in Philadelphia but Ramsey is still bitter. This leads to them bickering with each other every time they meet.

Ramsey and Nico made the story so much better. The plot was so much fun and the characters added charm and made the read so much enjoyable. Ramsay was an amazing character, with her job and her relationship with her family and the way she carries herself.

The romance between the main characters was engaging and fun to read. Ramsey and Nico, due to some miscommunication, hate each other(mostly act like they hate each other). This gave us so many  funny dialogues between them trying to get a rise out of each other. Their characters complemented each other so well that the end was almost inevitable. I cannot pick a favourite conversation between them since I love them all.

I can’t get enough of the Price family and Ramsey and Nico! I wish this book never ended, because this is so much fun. This book became my most favourite read.

How would you feel if it seemed like you were pressured to be perfect and have your life all figured out by a certain age?

Well for our FMC, Ramsey, that seems to be the predicament that she finds herself in. Early 20's, career that she loves, has a somewhat perfect boyfriend, life couldn't get any better, right? Well that somewhat perfect boyfriend has a surprise for her. What could it be? Rams is hoping for a ring, since they've been together for 2 years, but dear old David has other things on his mind. Special Dinner = Epic Fail... After the atrocious dinner with that loser, she ends up at the bar of her favorite brother's best friend. Her arch nemesis, the evil Nicolette (Nico)! Needing to drown her sorrows and forget the uneventful night that she's had, though Nico seems to have other plans. Why not kick her some more while she's down?

And to make matters worse, her brother mention's that he and his fiance Cali won't be leaving for Maine when they were supposed to, so Ramsey needs to come up with an alternate plan to get there. Flying? No thank you. Arriving late? And upsetting her mother? Out of the question. So her dearest brother comes up with an alternative solution, Ramsey should just ride to Maine with Nico... Excuse me? Though extremely reluctant, she agrees. The day arrives and they set off for Maine with no issues. Alright, maybe one little *bump* in the road. Nico evens shows Rams his favorite stop along the way.

Finally, they make it to the Price Mansion and are immediately greeted by the Price matriarch. Yet again, Rams has shown up empty handed (No David). What will dear old Mom have to say about that? Without a second thought, Ramsey spews out the first things that comes to mind.. She has brought her boyfriend.. Nico.. Won't this be an interesting weekend. Or will this open doors and secrets that should've been shared a long time ago?

If you like incredibly funny, witty banter, her brother's best friend, enemies to lovers, one bed, and fake dating tropes, this is the book for you! Go grab your copy and fall in love with these characters! This book had me entertained and amused from the get go and I know it will have you wanting more too!

The Maine Attraction is a delightful, feel good contemporary romance that I enjoyed immensely. It’s a shorter book but it honestly was the perfect length and is easy to binge in one sitting.

Ramsey breaks up with her boyfriend right before her brothers wedding. But when her overbearing mom wants to set her up with one of her friend’s sons, she tells her that she’s dating Nico, her brothers best friend who Ramsey cannot stand. Nico agrees to be her fake boyfriend, but things get more real than expected.

Ramsey is snarky, headstrong, funny, combative, and caring. While she was a little immature at times, I really liked her as a main character.

Don’t even get my started on Nico. He is a new favorite book boyfriend. He puts up a tough exterior and exchanges jabs with Ramsey, but he’s secretly just a big softie and he had me swooning with how sweet he was towards Ramsey.

The enemies to lovers aspect was enjoyable, especially once they started fake dating because there is so much tension and longing between Ramsey and Nico. The book is told in dual POV which provided a lot of depth to the characters and made it easier to understand what each person was feeling, it was really well written.

Ramsey comes from a large family where she has six brothers and I adored the family dynamic between Ramsey and her siblings. They are loving but competitive and give each other shit, it felt so realistic. There were some moments where I got secondhand embarrassment but I was also laughing out loud at them too.

I honestly enjoyed this book so much and it just put me in a wonderful mood while reading. It was highly entertaining and addicting.

Some things you can expect from this book:
✨Fake dating
✨Brothers best friend
✨Enemies to lovers
✨Dual POV
✨It’s always been you

Talk about a cute, sweet, summer rom-com!

I liked getting to know Ramsey and Nico. Insecure, professional, stubborn, competitive Ramsey mixed with laidback, provocative, sweet-hearted Nico made for a fun couple to read about. Plus, their banter and "uncomfortable game" had me both chuckling and swooning.

I loved how silly and not over-the-top the humor was - perfectly lighthearted and upbeat! Really, if I could describe the entire vibe of The Maine Attraction, it would be wholesome and sweet!

Some of the side characters needed more development (specifically William Price and Poppy), I wanted more descriptions on the setting (Maine 🤩), and there were some phrases repeated too frequently ("eating up" the space between two people by moving closer), but I was looking for something fun and I found it!

The conflicts near the end popped up and were resolved rather quickly, but I did appreciate that there was COMMUNICATION between the involved characters. Everyone seemed to be humble and sweet at heart, and so it was easy to root for Ramsey and Nico's happiness!

I believe the author is hoping to write Poppy's story next and I will be glad to read it when it arrives!

**romance notes: fade-to-black intimate scene, several heated makeouts only briefly described, some vague innuendo & thoughts of attraction. Ramsey and Nico's bantering has a playfully sensual feel to it at times.

Obsessed! 4.5🌟

This book is full of witty banter, snarky comments and two people completely blind to love!

Ramsey is a hardworking professional gal who just wants to be happy, learn about history and get her mum off her back about the lack of wedding in her daughter's life. Ramsey is dating David, a high class professional lawyer who's life is..... work.
So when date night doesn't go planned, Ramsey ends up drinking with her brother at a bar owned by her brothers best friend and long time nemesis Nico.

Nico and Ramseys humor/hatred is hilarious, you can feel the chemistry through the book, only people who can't see it well.... Nico and Ramsey (maybe just one of them) 😏

This bickering pair end up on a 7hour road trip to a family wedding and what do you do when Ramseys mum questions if she ever did have a boyfriend..... say Nico is your boyfriend... duh 😂😂

This pair now has 5 days of acting like a dotting couple... easy right.... all they have to do is tell her parents, brothers (all 6 of them) and one of them is Nicos best friend 😂🤦‍♀️

I adored this book, do I wish the story was a bit longer... selfishly yes. But I love Morgans writing so much, she has a such a good way of grabbing you into a book where you have to read it in one night 😁

Another delightful romp by Morgan Gauthier! I just recently read her Aloha, Seattle and fell madly in love with Theo, so I jumped at the chance for a preview of her newest rom-com. Gauthier excels at playing off intimate romance against a background of large, bombastic families, which makes for a delightful contrast (along with providing a variety of interruptions at the most awkward moments that are both hilarious and make you want to scream, “NO!”).

Gauthier went for a dual POV in this one and it works so well, creating a nice bit of tension by seeing all the unrealized yearnings on both sides. I had a hard time relating to Ramsey at first, the woman holds a grudge for a long time! But once the story finds its groove and moves past the surface level, you really start to appreciate her (as much FOR her flaws as despite them).

And then there is Nico. *Swoon* Nico is my favorite kind fictional boyfriend – the burnt cinnamon roll. A little rough on the outside with some bad boy vibes, but a melting heart of gold inside. Nico is perfection. Nico is a 10, all the way. I would wash dishes with him any time!

There is some really yummy spice here without becoming overheated. Nice balance for the reader who enjoys romance but doesn’t need to see everything.

Get some Nico. And Ramsey. And the whole Price family complete with unlimited banter. You won’t regret it.

I just love the quote above. It’s from the book and I feel that it rings true. ⁣⁣⁣⁣

I’m a huge fan of Gauthier’s writings. I enjoyed reading her work in fantasy fiction, Mark of the Hunter trilogy and I’m so glad that I’ve been given the opportunity to read an ARC copy of her new romcom book. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
I fell in love with the characters in The Main Attraction, especially Nico, the love interest (MAJOR LOVE) and Poppy, the main character’s bestie. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
The witty banter between Ramsey Price (the main character) and Nico is my absolute favourite. Ramsey is very likeable AND relatable. She reminded me of myself, with her attitude towards things, her favourite colours (🤣) and the way she likes to push people’s buttons. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
I love the Price’s siblings’ relationship. A natural love and hate relationship within the family. It gives me the feeling of warmth. The squabbles they share, it happens in reality so that’s what makes me love them even more, it feels super relatable. ⁣⁣⁣⁣

It was an amazing experience reading this. I felt like I’m part of the story which is weird to say cause it’s a romcom. ⁣⁣⁣⁣

This romcom was such a fun, flirty and quick read! Ramsey Price has her dream job as a museum archivist and her dream guy in boyfriend David, the most eligible bachelor in town. When things don’t go quite as planned for Ramsey, she finds herself dateless for her brother Sean’s upcoming wedding in Maine. Enter Sean’s best friend and her nemesis: Nico Giovanni. Everyone, let’s all swoon together. 😍 Sean asks Nico to drive Ramsey to Maine for the wedding weekend, and to avoid her mother and 5 other brothers meddling with her love life all week, she convinces Nico to pretend to be dating.

Fake dating? ✔️
Enemies to lovers? ✔️
ONE BED? ✔️
Large, loveable family? ✔️

You guys, the banter between Ramsey and Nico is 🤌🏻 *chef’s kiss* so good!
The name calling, the staring contests, the “uncomfortable game”- all leave us with intense chemistry and tension between these two and I. LOVE. IT. 👏🏻

This was my first book by Morgan Gauthier and I loved her writing- easy, engaging, and thoroughly enjoyable! I can’t wait to delve into her backlog of books.

I don’t normally read contemporary romance but when I read the blurb for this one I was intrigued to expand my horizons.

It had a few of my favorites

enemies to lovers
Forced proximity
Brother’s best friend

Ramsey is the only sister in a large family and of course the her brothers are super protective of her. The interaction between the siblings is perfect. It felt exactly how a family would act

Ramsey needs a date for her brother’s wedding and there is only one person that was available, Nico. Her brother’s friend but him and Ramsey are not friends at all. They start “date” to save her from being set up by her mother.

The banter between the two is perfect. I absolutely love it. The way Ramsey and Nico play off each other is my favorite part of the book.

This one definitely has opened up my eyes to give more romantic comedy books a try. The writing is wonderful and fast paced. When I started it didn’t want it to end.  Absolutely wonderful job Morgan Gauither, definitely going to pick another book.

I had been eagerly awaiting the release of this book by Morgan Gauthier for so long, and I’m so pleased that it didn’t disappoint. Morgan’s previous rom-com, Aloha, Seattle, was brilliantly done, super steamy and boy did she one-up herself with The Maine Attraction.

The banter between Ramsey and Nico was so charged and steamy, constantly daring the other to take that final step and cross the boundary between rival and lover. The chemistry was fantastic and the storyline was so engaging.

Ramsey’s past and character were something I could really understand and get behind, which made following her journey even more emotional and rewarding. The story is super steamy from the get-go and the characters are so full of life and vibrancy, It’s hard to put down.

The Maine Attraction is a steamy, rivals to lovers, fake dating, one bed, best friend’s brother contemporary romance. Grab yourself a copy asap, you're not going to want to miss this awesome book!

This is one of the most fun amazing rom coms I have read this year and I am thrilled to have read this book early and share my review here. If you like rom coms with meddlesome families, misunderstandings, and all the feels of an Instant Love that has been too long denied, then this is the book for you to end your summer on. Nico is the perfect boyfriend and Ramsey is the baby sister to six older brothers and sees herself as 'one of the boys'. They have fought their attraction so long, that it can only escape as glimmers and red hot sarcastic embers. Each line is beautifully crafted and the two take turns hurting each other and being hurt but always drawn back to each other like moths to this banked fire. I cannot tell you enough how wonderful and addictive this book is by a first time author for me. I will say this, I'll be back for book two because any text as well written as this shows me an author who has nuance and skill in her people crafting and dialogue building.

Ramsay Price has everything she wants: her dream job, living in a beautiful house with her favourite brother and sister-in-law, and a relationship with a beautiful, wealthy man. When David suggests that they go out for a "big" dinner and it doesn't go as Ramsay anticipated, she has to reconsider what she wants in life - and whether her brother's best friend, Nico - who she had a crush on in college - fits into that.

I love this one! It has great tension between Ramsay and Nico, who are giant flirts with each other without even realising it. I love fun, easy romances and this was that - and no third act break up! Ramsay and Nico's playful banter and intense chemistry make for a super enjoyable read.

For those who love:

🩵 Family dynamics
❤️ Brother's best friend

Thank you Morgan for a review copy of The Maine Attraction! All opinions are my own.

I received an ARC of this book and it was so sweet! I adored the banter and teasing between Nico and Ramsey, how she called him every N name under the sun, and I literally laughed out loud several times (star spangled banner anyone?)! Ramsey is a ball of fire, but I’m sure she had to be growing up the youngest of seven, all older brothers. And what a family they have! I loved the dynamics and love that shone through the pages and also all the good spirited teasing and competition! Nico is such a good man, and his love for Ramsey is slowly revealed in all its little nuances. This was such a good brothers best friend, fake dating, enemies to lovers romance and I just loved their love! Watching the doubt, heckle, give in, run away, and have all their own separate realizations before coming together was just so sweet! And I absolutely adored the little reveals of Nico’s signs of love as well as that ending!!

I was fortunate to get an ARC of The Maine Attraction and I am SO THANKFUL!! This witty rom-com was EXACTLY what I needed.

The Maine Attraction is full of witty banter, the fake dating and one bed tropes, and a sarcastic love interest (Nico) who I absolutely fell in love with. So make room on your list of book boyfriends because Nico is sure to join the list. He’s funny, smart, and owns a bar. We love a successful and independent man.

Ramsey is an extremely relatable and likeable MC. She starts out with a complete asshat of a boyfriend. And I mean… we’ve all been there. I connected with her immediately, especially because she loves to push peoples buttons by teasing them. I loved Ramsey a lot.

This book is great for fans of The Love Hypothesis and Book Lovers! If you liked those books, you will LOVE The Maine Attraction.

📕 REVIEW 📕

4/5 ⭐️
2/5 🌶️

Couldn’t get ENOUGH!! I am officially obsessed with the Nico/Ramsey dynamic. Their banter, the Price family relationships.. the entire weekend trip was one for the books 🙌🏼 I’m generally not a huge reader of rom-coms, but I’ve read a few decent palate cleansers and this took the cake! I read 80% of this book in one sitting alone 😅 this would be an adorable chick flick!

I will warn you all of one fade to black scene so I don’t get yelled at for recommending this! The rest of the book more than makes up for it though. I had happy stress tears for the last 2-3 chapters 🥹

•slow burn
•dual pov
•one bed
•forced proximity
•enemies to lovers
•fake dating
•it’s always been you

Out October 18th!

Thank you to @authormorgangauthier for the ARC 🖤 go give her a follow! And preorder the Maine Attraction for a low spice yet adorable rom-com standalone.

Okay, so let’s start with the fact that Nico is probably one of my top book boyfriends ever. Nico is swoon worthy, the banter between him and Ramsey is amazing and made the story sooo fun to read!

This story was cute, fun, and addicting. There was fake dating, enemies to lovers, brothers best friend (I’m sure she had many crushes over the years with 6 brothers!🤯) The protective brother trying to keep his friend away from his sister. The perfect romance that leaves you wanting more. The type you have trouble putting down because you are so captivated by the characters and their story. I also ALWAYS love a dual POV. I find it just makes the book fun and easy to read.

I will be thinking about this book for a long time and honestly worry I’ll be in a bit of a slump after reading it. One of my top romances in a while 😍

🌶: Fade to Black
My goodness, I really enjoyed this book! It was a brother's best friend, fake dating contemporary romance that was such a sweet and fun read!

There were times when I laughed out loud, felt my heart break for the characters, and times where I genuinely wanted to shake some sense into them. The characters had such a fun banter to them and such a genuine connection. It was impossible not to love them.
Nico is such book boyfriend material. He puts others first, would do anything for Ramsey, and harbors a love for her. That is what girls can only dream of!
Ramsey is tough as nails. With 6 brothers, she takes no shit and that includes all men in her life. I loved reading how Nico softened her edges and showed her what it means to love someone!
Highly recommend this book!

Amazing.

This was another great book by Morgan.
Oh she made me hate those brother, sometimes I just wanted to punch them in the face oh did she write siblings rivalry and mockery beautifully.

This is a beautiful story some people may think it can not happen in real life but I've seen it happen.

This book is amazing, Morgan writing is mesmerising and truly made me feel. I felt butterflies, anger, joy. I read and felt the emotions, I was living with them.

To read a book like that is an incredible experience and I would recommend this book to anyone asking for a recommendation.

It has :
Fake dating trope
Brother best friend
Secret crush
Road trip
Angst
Nico ( Italian guy, brown hair and bar owner )
Well everything.

So yeah 5/5⭐

It had everything thing I was looking for in a romance book.

I have to start by : If someone wants to find me a Nico, go for it 😍

I had a great time reading Nico and Ramsey's story. It was light, funny and so romantic. I love the tension between them, a true slow burn romance well written! I got attached also to the side characters, I love Sean, how protective he is of his sister.
The trope :"it's always been you" was perfect
I like having Nico and Ramsey's pov. It gave me more feelings.

Do I want to re-read it to feel the love again? Yes, I do.

If you want to enjoy this book like I did, the release day is the 18th of October.
