To be in Jaxon “Sir” Allen’s world, you have to be one thing and one thing only…submissive. Jaxon loves his woman all about him and in return he makes sure to reward them with pleasure. If things happen to deter from the norm, punishments will be handed out accordingly. He meets Saiyah, and she’s definitely up for the challenge. The punishments, too. Get lost in the love and lust that these two create. They’ll have you reevaluating your life.
this was a very silly and unserious book. it doesn’t seem like the author did much research on dom/sub relationships because this wasn’t it.
i understand the sub is supposed to summit to the dom but at no point should their consent be revoked. jax (i’m not calling that man sir, tf?!) rarely asked for saiyah’s consent on anything and if he did it was right before an action giving her no real time to think about it. or after the deed was already done. he never asked to be her dom. never educated her on what a dom/sub was. never went over soft and hard limits. didn’t give that girl a safe word or what to do/say if something was too much for her. he ain’t do shit but hunch her.
plus the whole punishing her because a man she shut down multiple time kept pursuing her was dumb as hell.
saiyah and jax had no real chemistry outside of sex and even that felt kinda forced. it seems all of their deep conversations happened off page so i honestly can’t tell you why they liked each other so much outside of sex and having dinner. i get it’s a novella but it really felt like it was lacking a little substance.

I was all excited to some BDSM and got a low key low key Alpha male on steroids. This story had promise, it just was not authentic BDSM, the MC was super aggressive and controlling but that doesn’t make him a Don. The FC was too eager to be controlled which was more lust. Not enough developing between the two to make the scenes hot or past plain.
Out the gate this book took off and didn’t stop…I didn’t get any real feels between Sir and Saiyah even though they had good sexual chemistry… I would have liked to see them slowly enter into this relationship… overall good read and I can’t wait for what’s next
I got to end and 🗣️ SCREAMED ‼️😩 I was NOT ready for this story to end AT ALL… I immediately regretted finishing it so quick 😩.
In the beginning I was talking my shxt… like “this could NEVER be my lifestyle”🤣🤣 I talk back way too much, and what you mean I gotta address you a certain way 🙄🙄. AT ALL TIMES 🙄🙄 EVEN AT WORK 🙄🙄 Get out my damn face with that ‼️‼️
By the end though my WHOLE TUNE changed 🤭🤭 shouting “Don’t mess with Sir damnit” and KICKING MY FEET when they had their “fights” 👀‼️Some how this book was light and Fluffy 😍😍 Even though it was INTENSE and VERY 🥵 ‼️
Consider me Starting my petition for Charity and Devon’s story 👀😍‼️ Cause I need MORE
Ok SIR! He knew what and who he wanted when he wanted it and that was his COCOA! I love a good Submissive read! I feel like we need a follow up. I want them to get married!
NTMA and this was perfect! BDSM... submissive and dominant! It didn't take long to understand what shoulda been understood! Truly a great written novella! 💜💛💚
Received from the BRAE! Truly appreciate this gift!🤗
now sir LOL, i must say, it unfolded faster than I expected. Don’t get me wrong—i’m a total lovergirl at heart and can appreciate the idea of love at first sight. and hey, I won’t deny that the naughty side of me is all for a thrilling first-night adventure! But this was more lust than love and with your colleague?? wild work. while I can definitely get down with some BDSM, it felt like the core principles of consent got a bit overshadowed here. i mean, Jaxon practically threw Saiyah into the lion’s den without giving her a proper briefing on their relationship dynamics. sure, the sexual chemistry was sizzling, but where was the emotional connection and security that’s crucial in this kind of lifestyle? Jaxon seemed a bit too aggressive, while Saiyah felt more like a passenger on a ride than an active participant. It left me wondering if their relationship would last.
This was a cool lil read, nothing too crazy. I can’t say that I loved how their dom/sub relationship went. There was no buildup, no discussion about whether she wanted to even enter that dynamic. He was basically just like this is what we’re going to do and that’s that. Literally on their first time meeting each other. Yes, I understand it’s a novella but if the author did not want to expand on them meeting each other and moving towards that type of relationship, then I feel the author should have wrote them as characters who already knew each other and not complete strangers. Or had the characters in a different setting. I just feel like the dom/sub relationship would have came across better if there was at least a little buildup towards it.
I loved this book and the relationship between Sir, and Cocoa. Tacarra had me turning pages like a mad woman. I definitely didn't wanna put this one down and I was sad when it ended. It was just the right amount of heat and sexiness too. She did an excellent job on this one!!!!
Let me say 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Wow It mostly certainly enjoyed that there relationship became deeper than just about control sexual but it be came more too ppl falling for each other now I would like to see what happened now Both have meet each other parents so will it lead to marriage and kids
This was an ok read. I don’t know I just feel like it was missing something. It was a good story but still lacked that wow factor. This wasn’t a bad read and has potential. For a novella it was great I think if it was a full length novel this books would have been 5 stars
I loved the switch up of Saiyah/Cocoa when she took over the reigns. I feel like Jaxon needs a little more control of his emotions to be a Dom cause in some parts I was confused af as to why he was mad at about a 10 when the situation might have been a 6-7. Overall, I like them together and happy they embraced the unknown together!
This was a cute and quick read. Jax knew what he wanted and he was quick to let Saiyah know what was up! When he told Saiyah that his name is ‘Sir to her’ I was like ooop! Iktr Jax! Lolllll. He made sure she knew that being his sub did not mean he controlled her rather he led and she followed. I enjoyed this story.
Jason was a very toxic dominant, I tried to give this story the benefit of the doubt, thinking it would get better but unfortunately for me it didn’t. I didn’t like the way the D/s dynamic was presented in this story, the storyline was very toxic and unrealistic. But I did like one part when she did a role switch on him, that made me laugh.
I loved this book. I loved the fast pace. It kept me reading. Some stories drag out in the beginning, and you have to wait to the middle for the "meat & potatoes." It definitely had me wanting more. Would have loved to know how their relationship evolved. I wouldn't mind a Pt. 2. Sir & Cocoa got me thinking about exploring some things 😆
This was porn in a book. The book was fast pace and kept you entertained. Don and sub relationship with real jobs. It wasn’t a secret about what they were into amongst their people
This is a bite sized BDSM light, novella with the cutest D\s I have ever read about. The Main characters are successful attorneys for a Black owned law firm' Love it !!!!!!The story was filled with 🌶🌶🌶 + 🔥🔥🔥& LOL humor ! A highly recommended & entertaining 📕🍷💃
Baby the way I would’ve folded !!!!! Whew I love how you got straight to it. I loved his dominance and how he treated her. Wasn’t scared of his feelings and they let things happen without it being forced. I wouldn’t mind an update 🫦🔥😍
A short steamy read that will most definitely get your juices flowing in more ways than one. I have a Sir and yes, we met the same way as Saniyah and Jaxon. I will definitely read this book to my Sir!
Hey Siri, play Trading Places by Usher! Lol that was my favorite part!!! She thought!! Cocoa was such a cute nickname for her. This was entertaining and i was so mad when it ended! Loved every bit of it!
This was a nice short read. The chemistry between Sir and Saiyah was THICK! I enjoyed the role reversal (IYKYK👀). I wish there was more info on the characters like why Saiyah was so eager to submit or why Sir became a dom in the first place. However, it was still a good spicy read!
Short, sweet and to the point. I wish it was longer to provide more context and flesh out some characters. I took off stars for some spelling and grammar issues as well as some lifestyle misconceptions.
This novella was a short and spicy read. I enjoyed the couple and the sneak peek into this lifestyle. I also enjoy the workplace romance as it typically brings forth great sexual tension.
Although this is a novella, the action escalated a little too quickly for me. It just wasn’t believable at all. The switching was the absolute best part of this story though.
This was a decent quick read. The book starts right off with building the connection between Sir and Saiyah. I would have preferred this in a full novel to actually see the development of their relationship.
This book gives you just enough spice to yearn for more. It was a refreshing read without the long drawn out drama. This is my first read by Tacarra and I will certainly be back for more of her work.
You don’t realize how much you loved to be dommed until you read this one 🥴😂 not saying that it’s a bad thing but it helps you understand the aspects of some of the kinks that you enjoy really enjoyed this book from the beginning to the end 😉
This missed the mark for me. Jax was a MMC that wanted to top his partners. Nothing about his character gave Dom. This definitely can give readers the wrong impression of D/s dynamics because this wasn’t a good representation one.
