Symphony: The Art of Managing Change

Rate this book
HOW WE TREAT PEOPLE MATTERS, and in a world where change occurs at an unprecedented rate, knowing how to relate to, inspire and guide people through these changes is an increasingly important leadership talent. When organizations and communities take care of their people, the people tend to take care of the organizations and communities they serve.

The art of managing organizational change is like conducting a symphony. When you become practiced with this method, your organization improves because your team, working together, has the ability to deliver even greater results than you could imagine. Not one of them can achieve the desired outcome independently, but when these individual contributors come together as a part of a group working in harmony, the result can be magical!

An experienced leader of change, Tricia Bennett walks you through real-life examples of how this service-minded and visionary leadership approach leads to better-than-expected results, promotes loyalty and a sense of achievement amongst team members, and builds a more positive and engaged culture. Consider how honing your practice of intentionally managing change may help your organization compete in the battle to attract and retain the best talent.

This book is a relatable, easy read, packed with ideas. You’ll undoubtedly find a few valuable concepts that you can add to your personal leadership toolkit.

I enjoyed this book a lot, especially since I knew nothing of the topic beforehand. I think taking the business subject and comparing it to a symphony was smart because it makes it more relatable, and I learned a lot. If I was in the industry, this book would be of great use and resource.
