After a lot of resistance from Lionel’s side throughout the first two books, we finally see him admit his love for Lucifer. *pump fist in the air* It took Lucy a ‘life-threatening wound, but yah. LOL, now he speaks of Lucifer as his boyfriend, without the pressure of the Devil himself, hallelujah!
“Passing out really wasn’t as much fun as they made it sound in the romance novels.”
Nelly understands he’s coming from powerful parents, his birth mother made a hugely powerful distaff. Imagine his power, as he’s coming from a strong magical parental combination.
Lionel is one grumpy stubborn necromancer, always irritated with Lucifer, who’s more the sunshine of the two. Lionel was always alone and lonely, since Lucifer took over his life it changed a lot. We meet Hades and Persephone, the three-headed dog Cerberus, some impressive fun creatures! Lionel as Demigod has to learn about his power, that’s where Hades steps in. There is someone who wants to harm Lionel, someone with enormous power.
The story was so much fun, Lucifer is still my favorite, while I already warmed up to Lionel, Lucifer is honest about his feelings. Together they were fireworks, their sexual encounters were hot!
Their personalities are more revealed in this story, certainly Lionel’s and his strong reluctance to show feelings or his vulnerability. Lucifer is an open book, he loves Lionel hard and unconditionally. It was a wonderful story, captivatingly written, with great environments, beautiful creatures, and an original steady plot. When you’re in for a fun read with magic, sexiness, and the most beautiful creatures, read this series!
You’d think that having Lucifer as a boyfriend would be at the top of anyone’s list of life complications, but for necromancer Lionel you’d be so wrong. In addition to two hugely powerful parents Lionel is a target for someone and Lucifer has to continually act as his protector, a risky job, even for the Devil. These two have great, snarky chemistry and this series continues to get better and more involving with each book.
Loved Lionel and Lucifer!! Lionel has finally admitted his love for Lucifer. I adore the grumpy necromancer vs the sunshiny devil! I love how complex these characters are and watching their development. I love their chemistry and snark!! Overall, a fantastic read! The story was really well written and kept me engaged, the pacing flowed smoothly, highly recommend. I’m voluntarily reviewing from an advanced copy that I received. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions.
So much drama This is the third book in the series please make sure to read the other two books in order to get the best from this third book. Wow I don’t even know where to start with this book. Nelly discovers that it’s his father that is killing innocent people. He also discovers what his father is. But he seems to have an interest in Nelly and makes a point of going after him and not caring who gets in his way. Lucy makes sure he is there to protect him as best he can even getting him training to make his magic more control and more powerful. But can Lucy keep him safe from his father???? And will Marc give up on his feelings for Nelly? I really enjoyed this book with the banter. The attraction and the chemistry between Nelly and Lucy is even stronger in this book. I did get confuse sometimes with the magic and what everyone was but that didn’t take away from the story. Overall a very good read.
I adore this series and genuinely can’t wait to reread it. Nelly and Lucy are so funny and the way they mesh together is delightful. The secondary characters are fantastic (yay for strong, lovely, snarky female characters) and the subplot keeps you hooked.
I cannot overstate how much you should read this series! Awesomeness in three books!
I love this series so much! It's one of my top favorites this year! No, it's actually my all-time favorite series! The plot is fast-paced, gripping and so perfectly flowed. It was a perfect balance of dark with wit and humor. And the characters are just so lovable! I love Nelly and Lucy, and Sephy and Hades, and Tiamat and Soul. And even the humans, Christine and Marc. I really hope this is not the end of this series. I want more! Please keep them coming Alexa!!!

I love Nelly and lucy!! Both characters just keep getting more and more complex as this series continues. And speaking of, I really hope this series does indeed continue. The ending was pretty open so it could, but doesn't have to. I find that I need more of all of these characters in my life. Highly recommend this whole series!
I enjoyed this story. Great world building and wonderful characters- not just Lucy (Lucifer) and Nelly, but the supporting characters we meet along the way. (And I am always happy to find stories with Hades! *grin*) This story had both serious and humorous moments. It was overall a fun read. 5 stars.
This was my favorite installment of the series. Lucy and Nellie had so many challenges to work through. Nellie has to figure out what being a demigod is about. Lucy just wants to protect and love Nellie. I truly hope we get more stories about Nellie and Lucy. Any book that can make me laugh and cry out loud is one I would recommend and this one I both.
Brilliant story! This story just gets better and better. OMG I love Nelly and Lucy so much, and Sephy and Hades! I love how Nelly is really coming into his power. I can't wait to find out what happens next!
I loved the direction Alexa Piper took in The Devil’s Demigod. They more than satisfactorily resolved the cliffhanger from The Devil’s Boyfriend while still leaving room to continue on the story arc. Without giving any spoilers, I especially enjoyed the expansion of Lionel’s found family, something many of us can relate to. Several backstories are made clear as well, some humorous and some sweet. Piper has managed what every author wants with a series, to hook the reader so thoroughly they can’t wait for the next volume. I received a free copy of this book from Changeling Press and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The story arc continues from the last book and these endearing characters fight the evil that is Minos and sleazy angel Michael. Found family and suspense!
I loved this outing. It's much more plot and action based with the focus being on the case from book 2 and Lionel's origins. There is still elements of kink but they are mild and there is much more emotion between the couple. I loved meeting Hades and Persephone! I love all the side characters so they were a great addition
I so love watching the progression of Lucy's and Nelly's relationship as well as Nelly learning to use his powers. Lionel gets more of a chance to combat this latest issue along with Lucifer's help. I really hope that there's more to come from them and the family that they are building.
*I received an ARC from the author and this is my unbiased opinion.*
There is laughter and very cute moments with some added characters Hades and Persephone and they have a three-headed dog named Cerberus.
Lionel realizes that he has a new family and this one is by choice and means everything to him, Lucy gets a life-threatening wound for Lionel to finally realize his love for Lucy.
Lionel needs help with his magic and gets help from Hades to help him learn more about it.
Lucy wants to love and protect Lionel and keep him home, out of danger but Lionel loves his job too much.
Of all the problems they have there's one that is a Angel by the name of Michael and trouble just keeps coming from all angles.
Lionel and Lucy while talking, Lucy tells Lionel he can't lie he can only tell the truth which makes it hard for Lionel to believe since it's the devil of all things saying that.
I absolutely love seeing Nelly and Lucy continuing on their story, and getting a deeper look into who Nelly really is. I love how Lucy will always be there for his Nelly and how he will always love and protect him. Nelly is starting to realize who he is and that his new family by choice is everything to him. Great action and fantastic characters. So in love with these side characters Trony, Soul, Dragon Mother, Hades, Persephone and Christine! So much laughter and awe moments, couldn't put this book down!
‘In the end, I dropped my chin, then lifted my head a half inch, barely a nod, but a nod all the same. When I walked past him, he stopped me with a gentle hand on my elbow and kissed my lips without making it sexual at all. “I love you very much, Lionel. Now go wait for me.”’
Oh, poor Nelly. He has certainly gotten himself in deep with his Devil. Emotions are bouncing all over the place. But there is more than just Lucy to contend with, in Alexa Piper’s The Devil’s Demigod, book 3 in the Hellbound series.
Nelly has a new instructor, by the name of Hades, and along with other supporting characters, he must find a way to work through his childhood feelings of abandonment, while learning some dark secrets about himself.
This is an engaging and delightful read, and well worth the immersion into this entire series!
This wraps up the cliffhanger in the last book. Nelly comes to terms with fact he's a demigod and both his parents are sh%theads. Lucy tries to help Nelly use his demigod power by taking him to visit his buddies Hades and Persephonie.
Marc, the ex boyfriend, is still trying to make a play for Nelly, much to Lucy's displeasure. As predicted there's more submission and bondage in this book. It seems Nelly has realized this is something he needs and Lucy is more than willing to give it to him.
I really like the scenes with Hades and Persephone.
This series continues to keep me invested in the plot, storyline, and characters. I enjoy seeing Lucy's POV and am interested in his logic and love for Nelly.
This series was fun, serious, steamy, action packed, and imaginative. I really wasn't sure what to expect from each new chapter. The blend of multiple mythologies in the story was delightful, and the characters are wonderful. I appreciate a story where even the side characters have a well developed personality. I hope that eventually there is more to this series, and I really want more Metatron.
This series gets an extra star every time I read it!
I bet some authors are having an existential crisis, thinking 'no one loves my books'! Well fear not, Alexa Piper, this entire series continues to grow on me with each re-reading I hope I see some subtle little notes of foreshadowing and really hope the series continues a long time. It's become one of my comfort reads.
