In Focus Psychic Development by Joylina Goodings is a wonderful addition to the In focus line of books. Covering a wide variety of of topics with a simple and straight forward writing style Goodings has provided an excellent introduction or review for those interested in developing their psychic skills. This will be a book I recommend people read physically to get the full effect of its lovely visual presentation.
This read will be most enjoyable for readers looking to apply psychic development as a practical skill rather than an academic interest.

An excellent opportunity for the beginner and a great tool for the learned professional to freshen their skills and reawaken their third eyes! I will definitely be turning and searching its pages for years to come to remind myself of what I am capable of.

Becoming A Psychic
Author Joylina Goodings defines psychic development as learning about and training yourself in the many different facets of the spiritual arts, including tarot, clairvoyance,
mediumship, healing, astrology, palmistry, dowsing, and runes. She states that in this book you will be provided with the core skills you’ll need to develop yourself intuitively,
psychically, spiritually, as a medium, and personally, and as a result, you will be able to give intuitive readings and then decide which of the specialist divination methods you would like to explore further in each instance.
First off, she provides a six question quiz to determine how intuitive you are. She defines one's psychic ability as being able to be naturally intuitive as opposed to someone who has spent time and money developing this gift, and states that as you go through this book, you will discover your natural talents.
The author explains about Psychics, Mediums, and Clairvoyants and states that the terms psychic, medium, and clairvoyant are sometimes used interchangeably, but they do not have the same meaning. But these psychic abilities do overlap a bit. She states Psychics use their senses and acquire information in a variety of ways, and then pass it on to their clients, whereas mediums connect to discarnate spirits who may be deceased loved ones, spirit guides,
ascended masters, or angels, depending on the medium’s ability. Some psychics will develop mediumistic abilities and become mediums, and some mediums also work psychically, but not all psychics are mediums and not all mediums are psychic. Clairvoyance, which means clear seeing, refers to the way in which a person receives information. If someone is clairvoyant, they receive messages in the form of pictures. Intuitive people, psychics, and mediums can get their
information clairvoyantly or by using the other senses.
The author discusses various meditation techniques, the aura, the chakras, meeting your spirit guide, and shared some color meanings. She explains what psychics do, how the receive, interpret messages, some of there divinatory tools, and giving the reading.

This book is a real eye opener.
There are so many things in here that were fascinating.
It looks at many different areas, including auras, chakras, meditation, colours and so much more.
There were lots in this book that I already had a basic knowledge of but the writing style, and the context of psychic development made me look at it in a different way.
The illustrations were really beautiful too.
Overall this was an in depth book covering many different topics!

I found this book really fun and informative.
I do wish there was a disclaimer or reminder before the book starts that opening yourself up and talking to spirits is not a game.
Other then that this is a great book to satisfy one's curiosity

A really good book which I thoroughly enjoyed working and reading through. A really good tool and aid to support you on your spiritual journey, Its definitely one of those that you can come back to time and time again to strengthen your gifts.

A handy book to have when you're a budding and developing psychic. Easy to understand and provides terms to know when delving into the psychic realm. I highly recommend this book!

My favorite part (and most useful to me) was the meditation section. I found it super helpful to practice using the tips and ideas from this book.

A good overview of various divination methods and practices, but not really enough detail or in-depth instruction on how to practice or even choose one. Treat this book as an introduction to give you ideas for further research.
