Experimental Methods And Data Analyses For Polymer Electrolyte Fuel Cells

Fuel Cell power generation devices are emerging rapidly into the commercial marketplace. It is important that engineers are exposed to the fundamental principles of their operation and the underlying scientific and engineering principles. These principles draw upon electrochemistry, thermodynamics and kinetics and transport phenomena. The authors believe that a series of laboratory experiments on fuel cell operation is a good way to reinforce these engineering fundamentals, while simultaneously providing students with hands-on experience in state-of-the-art energy technology.
