this wasn't my favorite. i'm not a fan of push and pull, especially when the heroine is being annoying for no reason. i didn't really feel a resolution, or any sort of peace reading this. there was also too much body betraying for my liking.

Argumento:

Después de asistir a la boda de su mejor amiga en el Hotel Valentine en Las Vegas, Mila dejó de lado la precaución, junto con su virginidad, a un extraño sexy en el bar.

Era lo mejor que le había pasado a Mila en mucho tiempo. ¿Qué mujer no necesita un poco de diversión loca una vez en la vida?

Pero cuando la prueba de embarazo da positivo, Mila entra en pánico. Sin dinero y sin forma de contactar al padre del niño, siente que cometió el peor pecado en Sin City.

Mí humilde opinión:

La historia comienza como en otros romances de San Valentín que leí antes; héroe ve a heroína en un bar, hay flechazo, él le invita una copa, ella nunca hizo nada tan aventurero como irse a la cama con un hombre que apenas conoce, tienen una noche de pasión, heroína escapa a la mañana siguiente, se queda embrazada y sorprendentemente vuelven a encontrarse meses después. Era todo tan cliché, no?

Me gustan los libritos cortos de insta-love de Ella Goode pero este no irá a la lista de mis preferidos.

A pesar de que el tema de la aventura de una noche y el embarazo sorpresa no fue algo original, la historia no estuvo mal, tuvo su cuota dulce, sexy y romántica para el día de los enamorados aunque no fue lo que esperaba.

Mila y Archer estaban Ok, él era el tipico héroe totalmente obsesionado por ella y ella disfrutaba de la neardertalidad del héroe. Me estaban divirtiendo sus peleas en las que él se salía con la suya hasta que Archer se volvió demasiado loco intenso para mí gusto. Era como si él tuviera en la cabeza me caso con esta mujer y no me importa si la conozco bien o no. Lo que estaba bien en un insta-love pero me frustraba que Archer no dejara claro sus intenciones y sentimientos por Mila o que ella lo hiciera, era molesto porque ella se negaba a estar con él porque creía que solo se quería casar por el bebé y no porque la quería a ella. Y sobre el bebé, no vi una reacción de emoción o sorpresa por parte de Archer al enterarse que será padre. La pareja nunca habla realmente sobre el bebé ni él le pregunta por las visitas del doctor etc cosas que debió preguntar. Tampoco le preguntó nada sobre su vida ni porque estaba afectada luego de llamar y decirle a sus padres que estaba embarazada y que iba a casarse. Él solo va y los trae en un avión sin molestarse cuando los escucha decir que la hija se sacó el premio grande. Fue asqueroso lo interesados que eran por el dinero.

Archer tomaba todas las decisiones y Mila solo tenía que aceptarlas, empeñado en casarse y no termino de ver sentimientos entre ellos ni me dan la oportunidad de creerme su amor instantáneo.

Hay un HEA pero y la boda?, tanta preparación para qué? El epilogo a cinco años que me gustó.

Ne bulacağımı bildiğim için bir sorun değil. Arada sırada zihnimi dağıtmak için okumak iyi oluyor. Sadece ne bekleyeceğini bilmeyenler için aşırı sürpriz olabilir.


Ele dokunan bir konu, işleyiş, kurgu ve belki duygu bile yok 😂Karakterler salak ötesi. Ama dediğim gibi benzer temalara aşinayım o yüzden benlik sıkıntı yoktu. Düşünerek okusaydım puan olarak eksi sonsuzluk alırdı benden.😁

My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.

Archer sees Mila at the hotel bar and buys her a drink, they flirt a little, and head up to his room. After their night together (dual virgins) she leaves. Fast forward a few months, he’s a bear to everyone because he can’t find her, he gets a great shock when she opens his office door, she’s his new assistant. (This didn’t make any sense, he just fired his current assistant and she arrives before the other girl even left the office, you’re not even told he calls HR to find another assistant so how does Mila know to come in?) More shocking, Mila is pregnant, surprised to see him she runs out of his office. When he catches her he tells her they are getting married. She refuses because of her parents toxic marriage. But neither of them have an actual conversation, any time she says no to marrying him he initiates sex and her body betrays her.
Other reviewers commented that they didn’t like Mila pushing him away but I thought her concerns were legitimate, she just never followed them up with a real honest conversation with Archer. He acted like a big man baby the whole time, doing things he wanted without talking to her. Ever time he got mad he would walk out, because he has a temper, that’s a red flag! He even threw his phone down when mad, he drinks straight from the wine bottle, and then drives to the airport. You’re supposed to believe this man owns and runs high end casinos all over the world?
I just never felt the love or connection between these two. She agrees to marry him and epilogue years later with a son and a baby on the way.
Normally I enjoy this authors books very much, this was just a miss for me.

The morning Mila runs off after her one night stand she didn't realize she took more than she came with. Months later she goes to her new job not expecting her new boss is that one night stand.

This was a cute quickie. My only nitpick is “why?” Why did he fall in love with her? It’s never mentioned. They meet at the hotel bar where the heroine is trying to catch her breath, the hero sees her and immediately wants to wife her up. They barely exchange names before they’re sleeping with one another and it’s never explained what drew each of them to the other. For thr h, she thought he was hot n sexy and that was it.

Other than that, it was very cute and I absolutely loved how caveman the hero was when he reunites with the heroine. I love a hero who doesn’t waffle around but takes charge and doesn’t let obstacles stop him.

100% safe. Double virgins. Faithful during separation. No others, no cheating or abuse. Heroine pushes h away. HEA with epilogue years out.

The way this man went all caveman for his woman at every opportunity made this book. It was super fun - one night stand leads to pregnancy. They couldn’t find each other and when they did, there was no chance he was letting her get away again.

If your looking for lighthearted fun book to read, with cherry popping and smutty scenes. Well this is for you.

Archer sure knows what he wants from Mila, unfortunately she leaves before he can tell her. She just so happens to walk back in his life pregnant with his baby.

Like I said, from there it's full steam ahead. Archer says were getting married in a few weeks and that's what happens.

This is a quick,steamy holiday read. Archer just barrels on through. Proving his love for Mila. I loved the bar scene in the epilogue.

It’s a cute enough story but it had no heart. It was too fast a hook up. No real emotional engagement between the couple or between the story and the reader. Unlike EG’s other secret baby stories where you feel the connection between the characters but you feel the angst of their separation and you feel the joy and anger of their reunion. This book had non of that.

This book was just very blah and easy and fast paced. Short but not really sweet. It was boring and lacked actual romance. It is very disappointing as EG’s books are usually deliciously good short short reads. Especially her secret babies. But this book isn’t a secret baby as a one night stand accidental life time commitment.

Anyway, I really didn’t like this story. Good luck.

It's hilarious when some girl tries to lose her virginity on a special night. I think it's one of the most ridiculous decisions that can go through someone's head, but that doesn't mean it's not done. Mila is proof of that.

Did we already talk about the fact that the book is secret baby?

Any doubt about the unexpected plot twist?

Of course the girl had to get pregnant, but that's what I love most about these books, the idea that a pregnancy shouldn't be the end of the world and that maybe it's the only thing that's going to connect you to the love of your life.

No, real life isn't like that, but it doesn't cost anything to dream about the idea.

Mila knows her life will never be the same again, but she wasn't strong enough to wait for Archer to break her heart the next morning anyway. She went and left her heart behind and thought she could get over it until she gets the news that she is pregnant.

Archer fell in love with Mila from the first moment he looked at her across the bar tables, the night with her was the most magical night of his life and he wouldn't trade it for the world. That doesn't imply that he's not going crazy trying to track her down.

How could she possibly have slipped out of his hotel, his bar, his bed...his life?

Frustration is about to get the better of him until, at the least expected moment, Mila appears in front of him like an angel fallen from the sky.

Of course it's an instalove destined to soften even the blackest of hearts and I'll tell you I loved it. It's a simple, easy to digest story that can get anyone out of a rut. Archer is your typical grumpy boss who throws screams left and right and Mila has a battered heart because of her family history.

Separately they're a mess, but together they're magic.

No, la vida real no es así, pero no cuesta nada soñar con la idea.

Mila sabe que su vida no volverá a ser la misma, pero de todas formas no tuvo la fuerza suficiente como para esperar a que Archer rompiera su corazón a la mañana siguiente. Se fue y dejó su corazón atrás y pensó que podría superarlo hasta que recibe la noticia de estar embarazada.

Archer se enamoró de Mila desde el primer momento en que la miró a través de las mesas del bar, la noche con ella fue la más mágica de su vida y no la cambiaría por nada del mundo. Eso no implica que no se esté volviendo loco al intentar localizarla.

¿Cómo es posible que se haya escabullido de su hotel, de su bar, de su cama… de su vida?

La frustración está a punto de acabar con él hasta que, en el momento menos esperado, Mila aparece frente a él como un ángel caído del cielo.

Por supuesto que es un instalove destinado a ablandar hasta los corazones más negros y te diré que me encantó. Es una historia sencilla, fácil de digerir y que puede sacar a cualquiera de un bloqueo. Archer es el típico jefe gruñón que lanza gritos a diestra y siniestra y Mila tiene un corazón maltrecho por su historial familiar.

Separados son un desastre, pero juntos son magia.

Love how this author writes her H's. In this one he's a little condescending but means we'll. Really, he's clueless on how a relationship works since he's never been in one and has never even thought about a woman before. After their ONS, she runs and when they meet up again 4 months later, he's afraid he'll lose her again so he rushes her to get married. This was a fun, quick read. Each other's one and only, no abuse, no OM/OW drama, epilogue 5 years out.

I almost gave this one a round up to 4 stars, because I was really enjoying it at first. Way more than I thought I would. But somewhere around 60% in, there started to be errors every so often, and the timeline seemed to accelerate. Add in that it was an instalove, which I'm not really a fan of, and it all balanced out to just being okay for me. I would read more by this author though.

This was such a cute read with a j/p hero.

Archer is immediately smitten when he lays eyes on Mila in the casino bar. He knows he's gone for her after he's had a taste of her, and he knows she's the one that will be his wife.

Mila leaves the next morning, thinking it was just a one night stand. But when she winds up knocked up and standing in front of her new boss who just happens to be her one night stand? Well a lot of chasing follows.

I really enjoyed this read. It was sweet and straight to the point.

This is Archer and Mila's love story and wow, Archer is a lot to take in, Lol. I loved that he was a take charge kind of man but he could have slowed down just a bit for Mila, Lol. Loved it and hope that his sister, Ember gets her true love. Wonderful short story...4 stars

Rápido de leer pero le faltaron demasiaaaadas cosas.
Hablan medio libro de la boda y después nunca nos la cuentan, hay un embarazo pero ni siquiera se preocupan de él y básicamente el libro trata de Archer siendo un posesivo a más no poder, tomando decisiones y Mila peleando un segundo y al siguiente haciéndole caso 🤦🏻‍♀️
